About Pokémon

What started about 15 years ago in Japan, became a worldwide phenomenon, and has kids all over the world enjoying the world of Pokémon. Pokémon are creatures who live in the wild. Under the care of their trainers (owners), Pokémon grow and develop into more experienced or stronger Pokémon. There are nearly 500 creatures in the Pokémon world, with Pikachu being the most recognizable of all.
Today, the Pokémon brand includes top selling video games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon animated TV shows and movies, toys, books, and so much more! Pokémon is among the world's most popular and most successful children's entertainment brands.
