The list of shiny Pokemon available to catch in Pokemon Go is getting bigger and bigger, and I have the feeling that sometimes is a bit hard to track everything going on, especially when Niantic launches a new event featuring special Pokemon and their shiny forms and at that point, everything becomes chaotic.
At the moment, there are a lot of shiny Pokemon available in Pokemon Go and to make it easier for everyone, Ive decided to make a list of all shiny Pokemon currently available and keep it updated every time a new shiny form pops up.

First introduced as part of the Water Festival Event, with Magikarp and Gyarados, new Shiny Pokémon are added to Pokémon Go with just about every event and Community Day. There are now so many Shiny Pokémon that it can be hard to keep track of which Pokémon you should be checking. What Is The Shiny Pokemon Go
Firstly. Are they real? Yes, you bet! They exist, so go catch emâ now!
The shiny Pokemons are monsters that are re-colored and shine when they are sent to war. They donât really have any advantages in particular apart from their distinct physical features that differentiate them from the remaining Pokemons, but owning one of these will let other players know how much of a hardcore Pokemon gamer you really are, since theyâre not very readily available and appear only with high usage of the game. Unlike other Pokemons which appear similarly for everyone, the appearance of Shiny Pokemons is variable for different players, though their appearance is purely random.

The Rarest Shiny Pokmon
Even if theyre a common wild spawn on a Community Day, everyone loves a shiny Pokémon. But identifying the rarest shinies is pretty easy.
The rarest shiny Pokémon are those wearing hats, costumes, holiday trinkets or flower crowns.
This is because the Pokémon were only available for a short period of time and, in some cases, theyll never appear again and your chances of getting one are limited to trades.
The 2 rarest costumed shines are Pikachu Libre and Detective Hat Pikachu. If you have one of these, we tip our Ash baseball cap to you.

Can You Tell If It’s Shiny In The Wild
Shiny Won’t Appear Until Encountered
A Shiny Pokemon will not be seen in the world map of Pokemon Go. You need to encounter the Pokemon and go into the capture screen to see if it’s a Shiny.
Stays Shiny Even If You Run Away
If you leave the capture screen, as long as the Pokemon has still spawned in the world map, it will remain Shiny. If it disappears from the map and another Pokemon takes its place, it will not be the same Shiny Pokemon.

How To Find A Shiny Pokmon
Pokémon sprites will not appear any different in the wild, so you will need to click on them before they reveal whether they are shiny or not. You can also obtain shiny Pokémon by competing in raids, completing research, and hatching eggs. When you enter the encounter screen, you will know a Pokémon is shiny as sparkles will splash across the screen, and the Pokémon will be a different colour than what was seen on the map, the colour change can sometimes be very subtle, so be careful!

Are Shiny Pokmon Shiny For Everyone In Pokmon Go
No. With Ditto, once a Pokémon is determined to be Ditto, the servers make it Ditto for everyone. With Shiny Pokémon, it’s done on a player-by-player basis.
That means you and a friend can both catch the same Magikarp, yours could turn out to be Shiny, and theirs not.
There has been one exception so far: For the July 2018 Community Day, Pokémon Go had Sunglasses Squirtle available through Field Research and, tasks that had a Shiny Sunglasses Squritle were Shiny for everyone!
How To Get Shiny Pokemon In Pokemon Go
If you’ve been playing Pokemon Go for a long time and never stumbled across a shiny, don’t be surprised. The Pokemon Go shiny odds are roughly 1 in 450. This means that every time you tap on a Pokemon to catch it in Pokemon Go – if it has a shiny version – there is a 1 in 450 chance it will be shiny.
However, these odds are dramatically increased on Pokemon Go Community Day to 1 in 25. Community Day happens once a month in Pokemon Go, when a specific Pokemon will flood the streets and appear almost everywhere. Along with the other benefits usually found during Community Day, Pokemon Go shinies become much more popular and you’d have to be considerably unlucky to not find a shiny during Community Day.
You won’t know if you’ve found a shiny Pokemon or not until you tap on it and enter the encounter. If the colour change is subtle, you’ll also know you’ve found a shiny if a bunch of sparks fly out from the Pokemon before you throw the first ball. Ok Fine Just Tell Me How To Catch ’em All
First, you have to find as many Pokémon as you can. That means finding spawns or nests where those types of Pokémon are common. Then tap, tap, tap away and see if you encounter a Shiny.
For eggs and babies, collect as many as you can. Walk as much as you can. And hatch, hatch, hatch.
For the Raid Pokémon, the story is the same. Find the Raids. Beat the Raid Boss. Hope the one you get is Shiny.
Field Research. Find the tasks that give you a Pokémon with a Shiny form, then work with your community to find the PokéStops giving away the right tasks, and then complete as many as you can.

Shiny Pokémon are special versions of a Pokémon with a different coloration. Unlike the main series games, shinies in Pokémon GO are much more common – the standard rate is believed to be around 1 in 500 . Many Pokémon have an even higher shiny rate: some perma-boosted

Rarest Shinies In Pokmon Go
Pokémon GO took the world by storm during the Summer of 2016 and while most of the world has moved on, there is still a solid group of dedicated players. These loyal Pokémon GO fans were rewarded in 2017 when Shiny Pokémon first appeared in the game with the release of Shiny Gyrados. Since then, Pokémon GO players have worked hard to capture the available Shinies. Unfortunately, there are a number of rare Shiny Pokémon that are typically only available during limited time events. The original starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are some of the most iconic and popular Pokémon ever, besides Pikachu. For Halloween 2019, Pokémon Go dressed up Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle for the first time. Bulbasaur donned a Shedninja costume, Charmander wore a Cubone costume, and Squirtle had a Yamask hat. During the event, from October 17 to November 1, 2019, Shiny versions of each of the costumed starters were also available. The costumed cuties returned for Halloween 2020, but its not a sure thing that theyll return again in 2021. So players may have already missed out on nabbing the Shiny costumed starters.

Pokémon Go has plenty of new events releasing for eager trainers to continue their journey in the game during May. To celebrate 20 years of the Pokémon franchise, theyre bringing Throwback Challenges for 2020, centered around the first four regions featured in the games, namely Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. During each of these weekly challenges, Pokémon from these regions are receiving shiny versions.
The shiny Pokémon available during these events are as follows:
- Shiny Venonat: Kanto Throwback Challenge 2020 from May 1 at 1:00pm to May 8 at 1:00pm
- Shiny Dunsparce: Johto Throwback Challenge 2020 from May 8 at 1:00pm to May 15 at 1:00pm
- Shiny Skitty: Hoenn Throwback Challenge 2020 from May 15 at 1:00pm to May 22 at 1:00pm
- Shiny Glameow: Sinnoh Throwback Challenge 2020 from May 22 at 1:00pm to May 29 at 1:00pm
The shiny versions of these Pokémon will release at the start of their respective regions Throwback Challenge 2020 event times. You can find all of them in the wild as you would any other Pokémon, but you wont know if theyre shiny until you click on them to try and capture them.
All of these Pokémon are also available as 7-kilometer egg hatch rewards. You can reach out to your friends to send you more gifts, potentially landing more friend-exclusive 7-kilometer eggs.

Some shinies, particularly those with hats, are often only available for limited times, therefore only the most proactive trainers can snag them.
