Pokemon Go Pvp: Best Moveset For Swampert
Swampert is one of the best tools any trainer can have in GO Battle League for Pokemon GO.
Whether its in the Ultra League where it dominates, or the Master League where it still sees some play, Swampert seems to impact the meta wherever it goes. A large part of this is due to how great the Water and Ground-typing is it has plenty of resistances and only Grass can threaten it. Swampert also gets access to some hard hitting moves.
The Best Moveset For Swampert In Pokemon Ruby And Sapphire
Swampert can clean up most opponents in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire with a good moveset.
The main reason why Swampert is an excellent choice for a starter is because of its typing. Being part Water-type and part Ground-type, Swampert is only vulnerable to Grass moves. Considering that it also has decent bulk , there are only a handful of Pokemon that can consistently take Swampert down.
This Pokemon also has the benefit of beating three out of the first five gyms on its own . Here are the moves trainers are going to want to run on Swampert.

Shiny Swampert In Pokemon Go
Shiny Pokemon are special Pokemon that have a colour pigment making them differently coloured. These Pokemon do not have any added abilities or give any form of advantage to players who possess them. Shiny Swampert is the same and the chances of getting a Shiny Swampert in Pokemon Go are very low. So you need to be extremely lucky to get one in the game. So getting a Shiny version of any Pokemon is basically luck. But the developers sometimes increase the spawn rate during special events. So keep an eye out for that.

What About Secondary Charge Moves In Pokmon Go
With PvP Trainer Battles, Niantic also introduced secondary Charge Moves. You can buy them with Stardust and Candy, and TM them to whatever it is you need. So, what do you need? Typically, variety. If the best Charge Move is a full bar, get a secondary that’s multi-bar. If there are two possible types for the Charged move, get both. For example, a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball or Psystrike is incredible, but one with both? Gamebreaker! However, adding a second Charge Move is expensive so make sure there is a good secondary move before spending on this upgrade.
Performance In The Great League
Swampert is a solid pick in Great League and that is attributed to Hydro Cannon. With a single weakness, it is a very good lead fory PvP lineup. However, its performance in this league is not as dominating as it is in the higher leagues. There are two reasons for this:
Too much competition
Great League is an excellent playground for the various mud bois that have become a popular pick for PvP. With only Grass type to worry about and with fast charging moves, these Pokémon can bait out shields from your opponent and make the job easier for the rest of your team. Swampert is excellent, but its muddy peers like Whiscash and Quagsire have better Great League stats relatively speaking. Its not that Swampert is outclassed, its just that those derpy mud bois are a wee bit more useful in this particular league.
That damned Venusaur
Venusaur, a key performer in this league, can totally decimate Swampert. Venusaurs typing also doesnt make it susceptible to a lucky Sludge Wave by Swampert, which can trouble other Grass types.

What If You Don’t Have The Best Movesets In Pokmon Go
Since the introduction of the Raid Battle system in June 2017, you can get Technical Machines to change your movesets. Two of the possible rewards for beating Raid Bosses are Quick TM and Fast TM, which can be used to change Quick Moves and Charge Moves respectively. Regular TMs are completely random and cannot access Legacy Moves.
Legacy Moves are special moves that were once available for a Pokémon but are no longer. Sometimes they were removed when Niantic re-balanced the game. Some were only available on Community Day or in special Raids. Either way, if a Legacy Move happens to be the best possible move for a Pokémon and you don’t have it, you cannot get it with a normal TM. Before you use a TM on any Pokémon, you should always check to see if the move you’re changing is a Legacy Move and if that move is worth having. A lot of Legacy Moves don’t perform well, but some of them are the best moves in the game.
More recently, Niantic introduced Elite TMs. These TMs are rare, and often difficult to get or expensive, but allow you to choose from any move a Pokémon can have, including Legacy Moves. They aren’t random either. You get to choose the move. Because of how hard it is to get Elite TMs, you’ll want to save them for your very best Pokémon, but hey, now you can have a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball and Psystrike!

And now, with the introduction of Mega Evolution, we’ve got your Mega Pokémon too!

Should You Unlock A Second Charge Move For Swampert
There is no compulsion in doing so, but since its cheap, feel free to do so!
- Mud Shot and Hydro Cannon is bread and butter for the best Swampert PvP set.
- You can ideally include Earthquake for possible OHKO scenarios and great type coverage, especially in the higher leagues.
- Muddy Water is a fun addition for shield baiting and the undependable, but high reward ATK stat lowering possibility. Definitely consider using this!
Therefore, Swamperts ideal moveset for PvP is Mud Shot paired with Hydro Cannon and Earthquake.
What Is The Best Ability For Swampert
About Swamperts Ability Torrent is the preferred Ability for this Swampert. When its HP drops down to 1/3 of its maximum health, it gets a 50% Attack or Special Attack boost when using a Water-type move. Damp is another good Ability that prevents the moves Self-Destruct, Explosion, and Misty Explosion.

In the top-level rankings, you’ll see a score for each Pokemon. This score is an overall performance number from 0 to 100, where 100 is the best Pokemon in that league and category. It is derived from simulating every possible matchup, with each Pokemon’s most used moveset . Use this score to compare overall performance between Pokemon for example, the difference between the #1 and #50 Pokemon may not be the same as the difference between the #50 and #100 Pokemon. This score also allows you to see the parity in different leagues and categories.
Trainer Battles feature a wide variety of scenarios, especially involving shields. In order to give a fuller picture, our overall rankings are derived from additional sets of rankings, where battles are simulated with different roles in mind. You can explore rankings for each of the following categories:
Different Pokemon may succeed in different scenarios, so use these categories to help determine when a particular Pokemon would be the most valuable.

Venusaur Best Moveset In Pokemon Go
Venusaurs Community Day move, Frenzy Plant, is by far the best move in the Pokemons arsenal. It charges quickly and deals devastating damage.
Below, you can find the best moveset for Venusaur in Pokemon GO below:
- Fast Move Vine Whip
- Charged Move Frenzy Plant
- Charged Move Sludge Bomb
This is the moveset that utilises the Venusaur Community Day move, as well as getting STAB damage from each of its three attacks.
Which Moves Should This Generation Iii Pokemon Be Using
To use Swampert in PvP to its maximum potential, trainers will want to run Mud Shot. This is simply because its superior for energy charging.
Yes, Water Gun is only a half a second while Mud Shot takes a full second to use. Even while being faster, though, Water Gun still cant catch up to Mud Shot.
Water Gun charges 3 energy per use. With a duration of 0.5 seconds, that means it will end up charging 6 EPS. This doesnt reach Mud Shots 9 EPS. The key to Swamperts moveset is its charge moves, and Mud Shot helps Swampert use them more often.
As for Swamperts charge moves, it gets one of the best weapons in the game in Hydro Cannon. 80 power is nothing to laugh at when it only needs 40 energy to use. This move is from an old Community Day, so it is a legacy move, but its probably the best move any Elite TM can be used on.
With Hydro Cannon, Swampert is never out of the game. Even when the Pokemon is brought to low HP, it likely will have enough time to fire off a Hydro Cannon that will score significant damage on any opponent.
Swampert can pair Hydro Cannon with either Earthquake for more neutral damage on many Pokemon, or Sludge Bomb to cover Grass-types and Fairy-types. Out of these options, though, Earthquake is usually the way to go.
Since its Water-type and Ground-type, Swampert takes 256% damage from Grass moves. Therefore, the odds of Swampert surviving long enough to charge a Sludge Wave against a Grass-type Pokemon are slim to none.

What About Types In Pokmon Go
It’s also important to keep in mind types! While some Pokémon only have one type, most have two and all Pokémon can learn moves from multiple types. Although most Pokémon have a single moveset that is the best for their whole species, there are some Pokémon who have multiple sets. Take Chandelure, for example Chandelure is a Fire and Ghost type and can be one of the best of either. If you’re using your Chandelure as a Fire type, you’ll want it to know Fire Spin and Overheat, but if you’re going for Ghost type, you’ll want Hex and Shadow Ball.
How To Get Swampert In Pokemon Go
Swampert can prove to be a great addition to your collection since it is a fully evolved Pokemon. But at the same time, it is hard to come by due to the same reason. Your best bet to catch it is by looking for it near water and swampy areas. It is a water and ground type pokemon so there is a high chance of it spawning in such places. You can also keep an eye out for the Spotlight hour of the Pokemon. Apart from this, make use of Lure and Incense to increase the spawn rate of Pokemon Near you. It is also recommended to load up on great balls and ultra balls to increase the odds of successfully catching it.

Swampert is a good defensive Pokemon, boasting key resistances to common attacking types such as Rock, Electric, Steel, Fire, and Poison-types. This makes it a great defensive lead for a team that needs a reliable entry hazard setter.
About Swampert’s Moves
Stealth Rock sets up entry hazards for your team, helping them net important KOs thanks to chip damage. Yawn allows it to phaze opposing Pokemon, forcing them to switch and get residual damage from Stealth Rock or risk falling asleep.
About Swampert’s EV Spread
We’re using a standard defensive set with full investment in HP and 220 Defense EVs. The remaining 36 EVs are placed in Special Defense to round off its bulk.
About Swampert’s Ability
Torrent is the preferred Ability for this Swampert. When its HP drops down to 1/3 of its maximum health, it gets a 50% Attack or Special Attack boost when using a Water-type move.

Pve Offensive Moves Explanation
- Water Gun should be paired with Hydro Cannon. This set is better than the Ground-type set against most targets, including Rock-types.
- Mud Shot should be paired with Earthquake. This set has an advantage against Steel, Electric, and Poison-types.
- SludgeWave is underwhelming in every aspect.
- Surf has been replaced by Swampert’s Community Day move.
- Muddy Water as a 3-bar move can be used in a pinch right before Swampert faints, but otherwise is inferior to even Surf.

What Is The Best Moveset For Swampert
Why Because Of Hydro Cannon
Hydro Cannon is the charge move with high DPE and fast enough to dish out massive damage. What makes this even better? Mud Shot, which also deals good amounts of it in minimum time! Beat that? Water Gun has an added bonus: if Swampert takes some hits while using this attack comboitll be giving back more than you took off its opponents HP bar!
Earthquake is a super-powered move that works well as an extra charge. Despite being limited to just 1 bar, Swamperts Mud Shot shines and helps power up this potentially OHKO attack quicker than anything else in the Master League meta! And with its abilitycharge up quicly Earthquake you can take out some of those premier monsters here on your way down lower ranks.
Hydro Cannon is a powerful move that can charge up quick. The power of Muddy Water steps over it completely and may not be amazing, but still very interesting nonetheless! Yes- you heard me right I just said Sludge Wave which happens to have mixed reviews when fighting Swamperts Grass counter foes like Venusaur . This particular attack doesnt do much against any other type besides Steel because theyre weak types with low attacking stats on their own so use this wisely until we get more information about your opponents teams or what moves could neutralize them better than others.
