How Do You Transfer Pokemon From Pokemon Go To Pokemon Home
According to Nintendo, sometime in the future, youll be able to transfer from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home directly. However, until that functionality is available, youll have to use Pokemon Lets Go Eevee or Lets Go Pikachu to do it.
Youll have to make it to Go Park in Fuchsia City in Pokemon Lets Go first. Once you have access to that facility, you can sync your Switch and mobile device and transfer Pokemon from Go over to a Go Park. Once theyre in a park, youll need to catch them and move them to your PC.
Once the Pokemon you want to transfer are in your PC in Lets Go, then you can launch the Pokemon Home app your Switch and bring them over. However, note that any Pokemon brought from Go to Lets Go cannot be transferred back.
How To Import Pokemon To Nintendo Switch From Pokemon Go 3ds
Since the creation of Pokemon Box on the Nintendo Gamecube, The Pokemon Company has been creating unique ways for players to manage their collections of Pokemon and swap them between games without needing another handheld or console.
The latest version of this is Pokemon Home, an app for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices that allows players to move around Pokemon from a wide variety of Pokemon titles onto Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Though its a great idea and a useful tool for Pokemon diehards, its a bit unwieldy and confusing how to connect everything to Pokemon Home and how everything goes from there. Heres how to use Pokemon Home, and everything you need to know about the app.
Can I Transfer Any Pokmon
Nope! As of this moment, you can only transfer Pokémon from the Kanto region, as well as Meltan, and Melmetal. However, Game Freak made it clear that if Pokémon: Lets Go is sufficiently popular, that we could see other regions make the cut later on, paving the way for the rest of the Pokémon to join the game.
Pokemon: Lets Go, Pikachu and Eevee allow you to play with two players at the same time for the first time ever. Activating two-player co-op in Lets Go is incredibly easy. Heres how.
When you see a green icon on the bottom right of your screen, have the second player shake their Joy-Con or Poke Ball Plus to join. You can see what this icon looks like on the bottom right of the screenshot below:
Youll see another avatar appear on screen for the second player once the other controller is activated. This icon will start appearing after getting your Pokedex around Route 1, within the first fifteen minutes of starting.
There are a few things you should know about co-op in Pokemon Lets Go:
- The second player will always be the opposite gender of your character. So if you chose to be a boy, the second player will have the girl avatar.
- The second player cannot interact with Pokemon or NPCs, and they cannot pick up items. They will walk through Pokemon.
- The second player can have a Pokemon follow behind them, and it will always be the Pokemon set to be second in the main players part.

How To Connect Pokmon Go To Pokmon Home
Pokémon Go players have eagerly been waiting for the chance to transfer their favorite Pokémon into Pokémon Home and potentially receive Pokémon from their favorite games. When the Pokémon Home service initially launched in February, Pokémon Go could not connect with the online service. Niantic and The Pokémon Company had a bit of work to do before this happened. Both companies have promised that a feature would be arriving before the end of 2020, and we have a few more details about it.
We dont have any official information from Niantic at this time. Most of the information weve discovered surrounding the Pokémon Go and Pokémon Home connecting comes from the Pokéminers group who did an extensive breakdown on October 29. Many of the details the team shared were centered on what players could expect from Pokémon Home working on Pokémon Go. Much of this information is speculation, so when Niantic officially comment on the matter, well modify the information here to share the specifics.
It looks like players will need to connect their Nintendo accounts, which makes sense. The Pokémon Home application works on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch devices. You probably want to use your Nintendo Switch while you send them over from your Pokémon Go account because it might be difficult doing those both from the same mobile device.

Pokemon Go Is Now Compatible With Pokemon Home But The Restrictions Are Kind Of Ridiculous
Pump the brakes on transferring that Shiny Groudon to Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Opinionby Kat Bailey, Editor in Chief
11 November 2020
As of today, Pokemon Go is now compatible with Pokemon Home. This is exciting news for Pokemon fans, because it greatly expands the number of monsters that can be transferred from Niantic’s popular mobile game to Pokemon Sword and Shield. It wouldn’t be Pokemon if there weren’t a lot of hoops to jump through, though, and Pokemon Go throws up quite a few barriers to getting your beloved Shiny Groudon over to the Nintendo Switch.
Niantic
As of right now, if you want to complete a transfer from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home, you need to fit the following requirements:
- You have to be Level 40 in Pokemon Go
- The “Go Transporter” item must have a sufficient amount of energy
- You must have already caught the Pokemon in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so you can’t use Pokemon Go to fill your Pokedex
- Mega Evolutions, Shadow Pokemon, and unique costumes can’t be transferred
Those are some pretty onerous restrictions, making it effectively impossible to transfer your entire collection over to Pokemon Sword and Shield in one go. Indeed, as someone currently trapped at Level 32 in Pokemon Go, I’ve yet to be able to access the feature at all. Alas, poor Shiny Dragonite, you appear to be doomed to remain trapped in the purgatory of Alameda, California.
