Youll only have a limited amount of Premier Balls to capture Giratina after a Giratina raid, so make the most of them. By competing with friends and beating Giratina faster, you may win more Premier Balls.
Curveballs may help you increase your odds even more. However, work within your capabilities. if you dont believe you can consistently execute Excellent Curveball Throws, strive for Nice or Great Throws instead of entirely missing the target ring.
Giratina will not make it easy for you by remaining still as you attempt to capture it. Throwing when the Premier Ball is going about is a waste of Premier Balls. Watch Giratina gain a sense of its movement cycle and the pauses between cycles.
Please wait for the target ring to resurface during one of these pauses, then throw as it begins to shrink to boost your chances of making a Great or Excellent Throw.
You can catch with the use of berries. Giratina will be easy to capture with a Razz Berry, and a Golden Razz Berry will be much easier. If youre having trouble landing throws, a Nanab Berry will calm Giratina and make its movements less chaotic, letting you make more accurate throws.

Giratina, however, was a lot more violent than Areceus expected, so it was banished to the Distortion World. In a way, this means that Giratina can be considered the fallen angel of Pokémon mythology.
Giratina is the personification of antimatter, with the Distortion World acting as a near opposite to the normal Pokémon verse. It’s devoid of time and space itself is unstable, with the laws of physics being absent.
Giratina has two different formes.
Altered Forme Giratina has six legs and a pair of wings, while Origin Forme has a serpent like appearance, with six floating appendages.
In the main series of games, you can only find the Origin Forme Giratina when you visit the Distortion World or when Giratina is holding the Griseous Orb. The two formes have different stats Altered Forme Giratina is defense-oriented, while Origin Forme prefers to be offensive.

With Giratina being a Ghost and Dragon-type Pokemon, using Dark or Fairy-type Pokemon will be your best option, with Pokemon such as Mega Houndoom, Mega Gyrados, and Shadow Tyranitar ranking as the best Dark-type Pokemon, and Zacian, Arceus, and Zacian being the top Fairy-type Pokemon.
If you don’t have any particularly strong Dark or Fairy-type Pokemon, Ice is the third-best option, such as Darmanitan, Kyurem, or Mamoswine. Despite being Ghost and Dragon-type, using those typings is also a good option, but we recommend going for the other types mentioned over them.

Shadow Claw Or Dragon Breath + Dragon Claw And Shadow Sneak
Shadow Claw has good damage with great energy gain. Dragon Breath can also be viable for its superior damage output, but results in less usage of Giratina’s charge moves.
Dragon Claw costs the least amount of energy, gets STAB, and can be used very frequently. Shadow Sneak is now recommended due to its STAB damage and lesser energy cost outperforming Ancient Power, following the latter’s nerf from the April 2020 rebalance. However, Ancient Power can still be used to fish for boosts.
