How To Find Squirtle

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee – How to Get Moltres

Squirtle follows the same pattern as the other starters. With a good catch combo or lure plus some patience you can find Squirtle in the little grassy patch on Route 25, right next to where you obtain your gift Charmander.

Whether these are intentionally easier to find remains unclear, but a catch combo chain of 2, then later of 11 caused Squirtle to spawn multiple times.

But, if youd rather spend that time doing something else, speak with Officer Jenny next to the Pokemon Center in Vermillion City after youve caught 60 or more Pokemon, and Squirtle shall be yours.

Where To Find The Legendary Pokemon Spawn Locations

Before these Pokemon spawn in the wild youll need to defeat and capture them first. With other wild Pokemon you can simply attempt to catch them in Pokemon Lets Go.

With Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo however, youll need to defeat them first. Each of them are located in deep areas of the Kanto region. Much like the old Pokemon games, they are level 50 when you capture them. Mewtwo on the other hand is level 70.

How To Catch Moltres In Pokemon Let’s Go

Where to find Victory Road

Moltres is the only Pokemon in the world of Kanto in a place that you absolutely must visit in your pursuit of the main story. The fire-type legendary bird can be found in Victory Road to the west of Viridian City, the cave-like system that provides the ultimate final challenge to Pokemon Trainers before they tackle the Elite 4. This place is crawling with little puzzles that use many of your secret techniques, but you’ll only need the one to reach Moltres.

Find the area where Officer Jenny is hanging out – you met her earlier on in the story and probably picked up a naughty Squirtle from her. She’s also the only cop you’ve seen – Kanto is rough. Anyway, she heals you up here, but to the right of where she’s hanging out is a Strong Push block. Move it and head down the ladder – on this floor you’ll find Moltres.

Moltres is a fire and flying type mix, which makes it weak to Rock, Water and Electric-type attacks. For this encounter you could use Zapdos – but not Articuno – but if you want to batlte with non-legendary Pokemon another water type Pokemon is a solid bet, as are rock-type Pokemon, who’ll resist fire damage and dish out double damage to Moltres.

Once you catch Moltres, it’ll be at level 50.

What Does Shiny Eevee Look Like In Pokmon Go

Community Days in Pokémon Go are, due to the increased spawn rate, the perfect opportunity to hunt down the shiny version of a Pokémon.

Youre far more likely to find a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon on its Community Day not only because the shiny rate will be higher, but catching more of the same type increases the likelihood of finding one too.

Its easy to tell when youve found a shiny Pokemon because the encounter will begin with a flurry of stars, a shiny icon will appear next to its name, and its colouring will be different.

Shiny Eevee isnt new to the game weve had an Eevee Community Day before, back in August 2018 so chances are youve already seen these on your travels, or even got a few shinies yourself. But heres a preview of all the shiny Eevees you can collect:

Thanks to VozMicke on reddit for the shiny Sylveon image above.

If you want to evolve a shiny Eevee and use that evolution for competitive reasons, we recommend waiting until the tailend of the Community Day to ensure you have one with the best IVs. You discover which is the best Eevee by searching your Pokémon collection using 3* and 4*.

Dont forget you have until 10am PDT / 6pm BST on Monday to earn the exclusive move via evolution. After that, youll have to use an Elite Charged TM.

Pokemon Lets Go Legendary Bird Locations Where To Find

Pokemon Lets Go has only been out for four days at the time of writing this, but weve already uncovered where to find these legendary Pokemon:

  • Articuno Youll need to head to Seafoam Islands, which is located in the South of the Kanto region. Youll need to have a Pokemon that knows the Sea Skim technique, so you can cross the body of water to reach it. You can get this at the Pokemon Go Park complex in Fuchsia City. Once you locate the cave on Seafoam Islands, youll need to push a few boulders out of the way with the Strong Push technique, which you get from the Safari Park warden after you return his gold teeth. Once thats done, you need to surf across a small bit of water to reach Articuno.
  • Zapdos Like Articuno, youll need Sea Skim to reach Zapdos. Head to the Pokemon Center on route 10, and walk North from here to find a stream. Surf up the stream until you come across a small crop of land, which houses the power station. Walk inside and Zapdos will be there.
  • Moltres Youll want to backtrack to Victory Road if you didnt see Moltres here upon your first visit. You can access this area once you have all eight gym badges, so itll be the end of the game before you can locate it. Once inside, work your way around until you see a ladder that heads down. Youll know youve found the right one as there will be a police officer on the other side of the cavern. Head down the ladder, take a right to a new area, and Moltres will be on a podium nearby.

How To Evolve Eevee Leafeon And Glaceon

Finally Eevee evolutions got even more confusing in Pokémon GO with the addition of Gen 4s Leafeon and Glaceon. This time youll need an item, or someone around you will need to use one that you can access. To evolve Eevee into Leafeon you need to be within range of a Poké Stop that has an active Mossy Lure on it. You can see this on the map with flying leaves surrounding it. Glaceon requires the Stop to instead have a Glacial Lure on it, which will display with swirling ice. Most players have gotten these for free from various events, but they can also be purchased from the shop for 200 Poké Coins a piece. Once you have one just use it on a Stop and evolve an Eevee while standing nearby.

And thats all Eevee evolutions and how to them them all in Pokémon GO. Sylveon may be added later, so check back for more when Gen 6 hits and after.

How To Rename Eevee To Evolve Into Sylveon Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon

How To Catch Moltres in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

Evolving Eevee using the required 25 Eevee candy will produce a random evolution. However, you can control which type it turns into by renaming the monster beforehand:

  • Rename Kira to evolve into Fairy-type Sylveon
  • Rename Linnea to evolve into Grass-type Leafeon
  • Rename Rea to evolve into Ice-type Glaceon
  • Rename Sakura to evolve into Psychic-type Espeon
  • Rename Tamao to evolve into Dark-type Umbreon
  • Rename Rainer to evolve into Water-type Vaporeon
  • Rename Sparky to evolve into Electric-type Jolteon
  • Rename Pyro to evolve into Fire-type Flareon

There are some caveats here. This only works one time per evolution, so if you plan to use your Eeveelution in battle, make sure youve chosen an Eevee with favourable stats. The naming trick is currently the only guaranteed way to evolve Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon once youve done it once, itll be up to random chance if you get another, regardless of what youve named it.

There are tricks to reliably evolving the other Eevee varieties more than once, though

    How To Catch Moltres

Last up is Moltres, the fire bird. This hothead is located in Victory Road to the west of Viridian City specifically the caves leading up to the Elite Four. Victory Road is filled with puzzles and trainers that players must overcome, so they should use their best Pokemon and spend their hard-earned money on plenty of items before venturing into these caves. Just like Articuno and Zapdos, Moltres will be Level 50.

After all three legendary birds have been caught, they can be found flying over most routes in the game, but players will need to fly on the back of a Pokemon to reach them. They are specifically found on Routes 1-4, 6-8, 10-19, and 21-25. To get them, players will need to beat the Elite Four and then have Aerodactyl, Dragonite, or Charizard out of their Poke Ball to ride on. This allows players to soar in the sky to find these birds once more, and even get a chance at chaining for shiny versions of these powerful Pokemon that would make a great addition to any Pokemon team.

Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Pokemon Lets Go Eevee are available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

How to Get Moltres in Pokemon Let

To find Moltres, youll firstly need to make it to the cave on Victory Road. However to even think about making it to Victory Road in the first place, youll need to defeat all eight Gym Leaders in the game, including the likes of Brock, Misty, Sabrina, Blaine, and more.

Once at Victory Road, youll eventually find yourself in the cave. Youll eventually come to Officer Jenny, who you can see below, thatll heal your Pokemon up instantly.

You need to use the Strong Push technique on the stone pillar to the left of Officer Jenny. Doing this will let you access the ladder just above you that leads down to the next level of the caverns.

Simply head to the right once youve taken this ladder leading downwards, and youll be able to find Moltres. As usual with all legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee, youll have 5 minutes maximum to take down Moltres in combat. Wed recommend using Electric, or Water-type Pokemon for taking down Moltres as quickly as possible.

Once Moltres has been defeated in combat, youve got all the time in the world to capture it using a Poke Ball. Note that legendary Pokemon are always the most difficult to contain, so youll want to use the highest level ball possible, like a Great, Ultra, or Premier Ball .

Has The First Pokemon Go Legendary Been Caught Articuno Spotted In Ohio

While there’s still no way to naturally catch the Legendary Pokemon in the wild, it seems Articuno may now be in the hands of a player for the first time.

As posted on and Redditand here on VG247 in a news update, a player is claiming to have been directly gifted an Articuno by Pokemon Go developers Niantic.

What isn’t clear is if this is a mistake or the result of a glitch or bug that can sometimes cause a Pokemon to change into another Pokemon under certain circumstances – or even if this appearance of Articuno at an Ohio gym is just an elaborate fan fake. We’ll update as we know more.

How To Get Glaceon And Leafeon In Pokmon Go

The method of changing names may work to obtain Glaceon and Leafeon, but the chances of that happening are very small. If you want to try, change the first name to Rea and the second to Linnea.

The most guaranteed way to have these two monsters is using a special item, called the Lure Model. This item creates an environment in which certain Pokémon can evolve. This is the case, among others, for Eevee, but only for Leafeon and Glaceon.

In the case of Leafeon, he must have the Lure Mossy, while Glaceon requires the Lure Glacial. Dont forget that for evolution to happen you need to have Candy from Eevee left over!

Fortunately, although still rare, they arent quite as rare as the original Gameboy games. Once you capture the initial one time sightings of these Pokemon then they will become rare spawns in the wild. Were not talking 10% rare either, youll need to do some searching in order to come across them. Moreover, youll need to be flying on your own Pokemon. Mewtwo remains a one time seen Pokemon though.

    Shiny Clamperl Huntail And Gorebyss

Did you know that you can also find shiny Clamperl in the wild? Above is what the full shiny Clamperl family looks like. As you can see, shiny Clamperl has a nice purple shell, while shiny Huntail ditches the blue for green, and shiny Gorebyss is a luminous yellow. As with all the Pokemon on the Pokemon Go shiny list, theres only a 1/450 chance of Clamperl being shiny though, so you better cross your fingers.
