Pokemon Go Adds Pokemon Home Connectivity For Some Players

How to get Meltan in Pokemon Go and how to transfer Pokemon to Let’s Go

You can transfer Pokemon into the cloud-based storage service.

High-level Pokemon Go players can transfer their pals to Pokemon Home.

As promised earlier this year, Pokemon Go started rolling out the ability to connect to the Pokemon Home storage service on Wednesday. That means you can transfer shiny Pokemon you’ve caught out in the real world in Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch.

To start transferring, you’ll need to link Pokemon Go to your Nintendo account in the settings menu. Transferring any Pokemon will let you get a Level 100 Melmetal that can Gigantamax in Home, and lets you open the Mystery Box to catch Meltan in Go.

However, it’s a one-way transfer, so choose carefully. The option is currently only available to Pokemon Go players who’ve hit Level 40 , Serebii.net reported, and requires energy that slowly recharges over time. The amount of energy used depends on a Pokemon’s rarity — a shiny legendary requires 9,000 of the maximum 10,000, for instance.

You can also use 1,000 in-game PokeCoins to instantly charge it up. The mobile game is reportedly having its best year ever, having generated $1 billion in revenue through in-app purchases like PokeCoins.

Starting Wednesday, April 24, at 1:00 p.m. PDT, youll be able to open the Mystery Box once every three days, making it easier to get Meltan! Dont miss your chance to evolve Shiny Meltan into Shiny Melmetal! Start collecting those Meltan Candies, Trainer!

Open Up The Mystery Box You Receive In Pokemon Go

You’ll find the Mystery Box inside the item pocket in Pokemon Go, nestled there just waiting to be opened. Once you’ve chosen to open it, it’ll remain open for 30 minutes, spewing out Meltan into the world.

Then, once the box has closed, you’ll have seven days to open it back up again, after which point you’ll need transfer a Pokemon from Go to Let’s Go again to get a new Mystery Box. You can only open the Mystery Box once per day though, so don’t spam it!

How To Get Meltan In Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee And Let’s Go Pikachu

When you send Pokemon from Pokemon Go into Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! you will get certain items in the app, like candies, based on the Pokemon you send over to the game. The first time you send over a Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon: Let’s Go you’ll get a Mystery Box.

Wen you open the Mystery Box, you’ll start seeing Meltan in-game. You can try to catch it just like you can other Pokemon, and when you capture it, you’ll see it transferred to a GO Park in the Let’s Go! games. You can also get a Mystery Box for sending a Pokemon to another friend’s game. When you use the Mystery Box, it will close and will only reopen again after a set period of time. Then you’ll need to send a Pokemon to your own or a friend’s Let’s Go! game. Seems like a fairly simple process.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! will be coming to Nintendo switch this November 16. There’s plenty of time left still to decide which version you want, thankfully, so make your decision and lock it in so you can grab a Meltan, too!

For now, enjoy footage of these little guys romping around in their natural habitats wherever you happen to be!

Melmetal And Mystery Boxes

EVOLVING MY 2 BEST MELTAN INTO MELMETAL (FIRST LUCKY ...

By connecting your Pokémon Go and Pokémon HOME accounts, you will be rewarded with a Gigantamax ready Melmetal and a Mystery Box. Melmetal, the evolved form of Meltan, is a Mythical Steel type originally introduced in Pokémon Go. Meltan can only be evolved within Pokémon Go and so getting a Melmetal in Sword and Shield requires using Pokémon HOME.

On your first Pokémon transfer, however, you will be rewarded with a previously unavailable Gigantamax Melmetal in Pokémon HOME. In Pokémon Go, youll get a Mystery Box, the item previously available through linking Lets Go, Pikachu! or Lets Go, Eevee! The Mystery Box acts in a similar way as Incense, except it only lures in Meltan. For one hour, the Mystery Box will draw Meltan to you, allowing you to earn tons of Meltan Candy so you can eventually evolve a Melmetal.

How To Catch Meltan In Pokmon: Let’s Go Pikachu Or Pokmon: Let’s Go Eevee

The Pokémon Company is trying something new for the launch of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! in that this marks the first time that you must play a game other than the mainline title to be able to catch a Pokémon.

In the case of Meltan, it’ll involve finding a mystery box to open and trading Pokémon between one of the Pokémon: Let’s Go games and the Pokémon GO mobile game. It sounds complicated, but as long as you have a smartphone or even a friend with a smartphone you’ll get Meltan without issue. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Link up and transfer any Pokémon from Pokémon GO to your Pokémon: Let’s Go game.
  • Upon doing so, you’ll receive a Mystery Box in Pokémon GO. The box can be opened immediately, so go make sure you have some Poké Balls and open it when you’re ready.
  • Upon opening the box, you’ll see a group of Meltan spill out into the world, and the frenzy is on. Go ahead and catch as many as you can. You only need to catch Meltan once to get it into Pokémon: Let’s Go, but you’ll want extra Meltan candies down the line so try and catch as many as you can.
  • Now that you have Meltan with you in Pokémon GO, you’ll need to transfer it to your Pokémon: Let’s Go game just as you did with the initial Pokémon you transferred to get the Mystery Box.

Pokmon Go Meltan: How To Get It And Evolve It Fast

Right after the September Community Day, something strange happened: Almost every Pokémon in the wild turned into a strange, nut-headed, liquid-metal-bodied new Pokémon no one had ever seen before. It’s shadow was on every Radar. It flooded every PokeStop. The internet dubbed it “Nutto” but, when you caught it, it transformed into Ditto.

Turns out, it’s a brand new Mythical Pokémon named Meltan, and it’s being used to bring Pokémon Go gamers to the upcoming Pokémon Let’s Go games on Nintendo.

Here’s what we know so far!

TRANSFER SHINY MELTAN to SWORD and SHIELD from Pokemon GO (UPDATE)

Pokemon Go players will have to meet certain criteria to make transfers possible

    • Pokemon Go players can send Pokemon to Pokemon Home
    • They can then be used in Pokemon Sword and Shield on the Switch
    • Go Transporter is used to send Pokemon from Go to Home

Pokemon Go players will now be able to transfer their Pokemon creatures to another game with Pokemon Home connectivity. The feature allows players to send the Pokemon they have collected in the highly popular mobile AR game to the cloud-based service Pokemon Home that connects with other Pokemon games. Essentially, players can send their creatures to Pokemon Home on the Nintendo Switch, from where they can be used in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. However, it is a one-way transfer and you wont be able to get your Pokemon back.

As described on the official Pokemon support page, Pokemon Go and Pokemon Home can be linked together. Players will need the mobile version and the Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Home, both of which need to be linked to the same Nintendo account, in order to transfer creatures to Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield on the Switch. Also, you will need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership to transfer Pokemon.

The Go Transporter can store up to 10,000 energy at once and players need to be at level 40 to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home.

Pokmon Evolutions Second Episode Features Lillies Final Showdown

Another episode of Pokémon Evolutions has dropped and once again its focusing on a finale, this time Sun & Moons dramatic conclusion, with a particular focus on Lillie. The series is counting down the generations so we still have six more shorts to go!

Hey there, Trainers! We all know that Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu and Lets Go, Eevee! are bringing things back to basics for the franchise, and one of the biggest ways that this is accomplished is by having only the original 151 Pokémon available in the game, rather than incorporating all existing Pokémon up to this point. Excitingly, theres a previously unknown Pokémon available in Pokémon: Lets Go, introduced as a means to promote the new games connectivity with the latest venture into the Pokémon world.

Meltan was previously spotted as a strange promotion at the end of Pokémon GOs September Community Day and it was later officially announced as a brand new, joint discovery by professors Oak and Willow. Not only is Meltan officially the 808th Pokémon, but its the first Mythical Pokémon that is able to evolve, making its massive evolution, Melmetal, the 809th Pokémon.

That is a lot of work for a small Pokémon, but Meltan and its evolved form, Melmetal, is the only Mythical Pokémon that can be placed in gyms. Meltan isnt super great at attacking or defending and is more of a Pokédex filler, but Melmetal is a pretty OK defender. It does, however, require 400 candy to evolve, so unless youre planning on walking a lot with a Meltan, you should work on grabbing extra Meltan through other methods.

If we got Meltan on our smartphone to pass it to our Nintendo Switch, we need to perform a series of steps, so we’ll see how you can exchange pokemons between the two platforms and get the most out of the connections between the two games.

First you need to continue inside Pokemoin Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee until you reach the city of Fucsiapoli. In the vicinity of the city, in fact, there is a complex of facilities that is essential to achieve our goal: the GO Park.

The GO Park is the tool we can use to get our favourite Pokemon Go monsters into the Nintendo Switch title within the Go Park complex there are 20 structures capable of holding a maximum of 50 Pokemon each, bringing the total number of creatures that can be transferred from smartphone to console to 1000.

Will You Pay To Transfer Pokemon From Pokemon Go To Pokemon Home

There were some fears that players could be forced to pay for the service that allows the transfer of Pokemon Go Pokemon to Pokemon Home.

As per Serebii.net this has now been clarified.

“The Pokémon Company have put out an updated clarified note in the article that revealed a Poké Coin cost for transferring from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME.”

“Now, the article states that there will be a cooldown period after transferring Pokémon before you can transfer again. This can be shortened with PokéCoins. Currently, this doesn’t preclude the idea of it costing but provides more insight from the same question that was asked yesterday.”

Hopefully, we’ll get some more insight on this the closer we get to launch.

    Stay tuned for more info.

Keep An Eye Out For Events

This is a fairly passive action in relation to collecting Meltans, but it’s a truth that carries over across all Pokemon media. Nintendo and, by extension, Niantic enjoy their promotional events that keep player attention focused on their games and keep people coming back.

There may yet be an event for Meltan and Melmetal on the horizon that we don’t know about. Heck, they may even put out an event to give a Melmetal to Sword and Shield. Both are easily within the realm of possibility.

Speaking about the new Pokemon Home feature, Niantic told fans:
