The Upcoming Pair Of Remakes Seems To Be Sticking Closely To The Source Material But Is Also Introducing Some Interesting New Features

Posted By Shubhankar Parijat | On 18th, Aug. 2021

At the recent Pokemon Presents, The Pokemon Company finally lifted the lid on;Pokemon Legends: Arceus,;but before that game launches in January, were getting another major;Pokemon;release in November with;Brilliant Diamond;and;Shining Pearl,;the long-awaited Gen 4 remakes. During the broadcast, we got a meaty update on those games as well.

By and large, the remakes are pretty faithful to the original Diamond;and;Pearl;releases, and many of those games features are also returning, including secret bases, Super Contests, and various minigames. Additionally, new features have also been confirmed, such as trainer customization, as well as being able to customize your Pokeballs with stickers for various visual effects when sending out Pokemon in battles.

Get the full details below. Theres a trailer, followed by the recent Pokemon Presents timestamped to the gameplay deep dive.

Pokemon Diamond And Pearl Remake Gameplay And Settings

If you played the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl game on the Nintendo DS, you need to know what you can expect from a gameplay perspective. The gameplay of the core Pokemon series seems to have changed little, focusing on exploring the world, maintaining turn-based combat, and catching as many Pokemon as possible to fill out the Pokédex for the purpose of additional perfectionism. Im guessing.

We hope that Pokemon Brilliant Diamonds and Shining Pearls will regain their slack in the Pokemon Sword and Shield controversy . generation.

Its a shy of 500 Pokemon. In addition to that, I would like to see a selection of Pokemon from later generations and make them appear in the same way as previous remakes.

We also hope that the popular battle zone will be revived. In this unique area, trainers were able to seriously test endgame Pokemon parties in locales such as the addictive Battle Frontier and Ribbon Syndicate. Some of the new features that are unique to remakes also work astoundingly, potentially addressing recent Pokemon titles low difficulty complaints.

In addition to the battle zone, another of Pokemon Diamond and Pearls most popular features was underground. Underground has completely avoided Pokemon fighting and catching due to more casual resource gathering incidents. Players can also create a secret base, a customizable home away from home. This allows you to really imagine the prosperity of Switch, especially with the addition of online play.

  • New gameplay mechanics include hideaways in the underground that feature different Pokémon depending on how you decorate your room.
  • Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release on November 19, 2021.

During today’s Pokémon Presents players were treated to a brand new look at Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the long-awaited Gen 4 remakes. The chibi art style was controversial when it was first revealed, but it looks much better in this gameplay footage. Players are going to have a blast exploring the Sinnoh region once again.

One of the most underrated aspects of Diamond and Pearl was its underground, where players could collect gems and fossils. This is brought back in the remakes and receives some new features for players to enjoy. Depending on how you decorate your Secret Base, there will be new areas called Hideouts with Pokémon that you can explore. Nintendo notes that “among the Pokémon that inhabit the Sinnoh region, there are some Pokémon that can only be found in these Pokémon Hideaways.”

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl add to a long list of Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch.

The Sinnoh region looks better than ever in the upcoming Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

During today’s Pokemon Presents showcase, Nintendo revealed more details on its upcoming remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. While Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl don’t stray too far from the traditional pocket monster formula, they do have a few modern updates pulled from more recent games in the series like Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Customization appears to play a big part in the game, as Poke Balls can be tweaked to feature new effects whenever you summon Pokemon, and trainers can don fashionable gear during their journey.

Another touch of customization allows for a Pokemon to be let out of its Poke Ball and follow a player around as they explore Sinnoh’s various locations. One example of this was seen in the trailer when Riolu kept pace with a player by doing a Naruto-style ninja run.

A new Grand Underground area will allow players to explore a subterranean section of Sinnoh that’s home to numerous Pokemon and treasures, which bears a few similarities to Sword and Shield’s wild areas. Mining is also back, and uncovering certain items will allow for statues of Pokemon to be placed inside of secret bases. These aren’t just decorative statues either, as they’ll alter which Pokemon you encounter in the Grand Underground.

Pokmon Diamond And Pearl Remake Trailer

Official trailerPokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were first shown off during the February 2021 Pokémon Presents showcase, announced alongside a trailer demonstrating the games art style and gameplay primarily.;

The games aesthetic in the overworld very much mimics that of the original Nintendo DS release, with deformed chibi style characters navigating basic 3D environments. Things change in battle, though, as characters take on more realistic proportions alongside the full-sized Pokémon models.

As such, the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes look to be quite faithful to the originals, albeit with a high-definition 3D overhaul to the graphics while throwing in some fairly impressive lighting effects. Some cinematic battle animations were also shown off in the trailer, and look to be at least somewhat of an improvement over Pokémon Sword and Shields efforts, where the animations were criticized for being reused and underwhelming for the first HD mainline Pokémon title.

In addition to compatibility with each other, Diamond and Pearl offer compatibility with the third generation Pokémon games, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, Pokémon Ranger, and Pokémon Battle Revolution. After earning the National Pokédex in Diamond and Pearl, the player can “Migrate” Pokémon from the Game Boy Advance games to Diamond and Pearl by inserting a Game Boy Advance cartridge into the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot of the Nintendo DS while Diamond or Pearl is in the DS slot. After six Pokémon are uploaded from the cartridge, they are sent to the Pal Park, an area where the player can capture the transferred Pokémon. Pokémon uploads are restricted to six every twenty-four hours per Game Boy Advance cartridge, and the player must capture the uploaded Pokémon before performing another transfer. Pokmon Diamond And Pearl Remake Gameplay And Setting

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl – Gameplay Trailer [HD 1080P]

If you played the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games on Nintendo DS, then you should know what to expect in terms of gameplay. The core Pokémon series gameplay appears to be largely unchanged, maintaining exploration of the overworld, turn-based combat and a focus on catching as many Pokémon as you can to fill out your Pokédex as an extra completionist objective.

Amidst the National Dex controversy surrounding Pokémon Sword and Shield , we expect Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to pick up the slack, hopefully featuring all Pokémon from the first four generations.;

Thats just shy of 500 pocket monsters. In addition to that, wed love to see a selection of Pokémon from generations beyond that to also make an appearance as they did in previous remakes.

We also expect the popular Battle Zone to make a comeback. This unique area allowed trainers to seriously test their endgame Pokémon parties with locales like the addictive Battle Frontier and Ribbon Syndicate. Some new features unique to the remake would also work wonders, potentially addressing complaints of lower difficulty in more recent Pokémon titles.
