Pokemon Soul Silver Best Starter

Must read

Chikorita Cani Got Nothin

BEST STARTER EVER – Pokémon HeartGold Randomizer Nuzlocke – Part 1

Gym Breakdown

Falkner: Youll have to work for this first victory. A couple Gusts and your cute little flower will be down for the count. Pick up a Geodude and get Rock Throw. Spam the crap out of it, and win. Sprout Tower falls to Pidgey.

Bugsy: Pidgeys up again, as is Mr. Dude. Rock Throw and Gust. Lots and lots of them. Mareep/Flaaffy can fill in as well.

Whitney: The same stuff applies for Bayleef as it does for Quilava and Croconaw. Hit Miltank until she drops, paralyze her, and get a Machop to hit her in the Normal Types. In that order.

Morty: Save for Misdreavus, the Ghost types in HeartGold and SoulSilver are part Poison, making them resistant to Grass attacks. They also have Levitate, making Ground useless. And Psychics are weak to Ghost attacks, and Gengars speed makes using them pointless. Bayleaf has pretty good Special Defense, so Shadow Ball wont do;quite;so much damage. Without any good type advantages, go the Whitney route. Paralyze and grind.;

Chuck: Finally something Grass can handle. Poliwrath is a couple Razor Leafs away from letting you just take the fifth badge.

Jasmine: Steel cant do much to Grass, and neither can Electricity. Firell send the Magnemites packing, and if youve got a Pokemon with Dig, use him against Steelix. That, or just melt everything you see. I hear that works great too.

Pokemon League Breakdown

Koga: Poison will kick Grass to the curb. Again, stick to Fire and Rock, maybe even Psychic, for this battle.

Where 2 Find Moltres

Once you beat Red you have to go to prof oak and will give you rock climb. Go to MT. Silver and their will be 2 waterfalls. Climb them and keep going. Soon you will see Moltres in a hole where you have to use rock climb to get down to him. TIP:Use a lot of ultra balls and dusk balls and if you have a master ball you can already say that you got yourself a Moltres.

This Is A Way To Fix Your Ar If You Use A Bad Code

In Heart Gold & Soul Silver, these Pokémon are obtained by visiting Steven Stone in Silph Co.in Saffron City after you have defeated Red. He will compliment you, ask you what colour stone youd pick and then provide you one of these Pokémon based on the colour. As with all starters, they will be at Level 5.

How The Fight Against My Rival Went Down:

Over levelling seems to be a bit of a theme here. I was a little bit overpowered for this fight but I guess thats not necessarily a bad thing in a Nuzlocke challenge Fondue took out Gastly without too much hassle, and then I switched to Mary to deal with Crocnaw and then eventually Zubat. I was expecting a lot worse things from this fight since I always seem to recall it giving me grief.

What Are The Exclusives In Each Game

The exclusives seem to be the only difference between HeartGold and SoulSilver.

There are subtle differences and nuances of the game as a whole, which we will get into, but there arent too many.

Here are the exclusives for each game that you can experiment with and see who you like better.

This seems to be the crux of the choice of game that players make.

Catch The Legendary Hoenn Weather Pokmon

How to Get a Shiny Starter in Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver

Did you know that you can catch the legendary Pokémon from the Hoenn region? Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza are all available to find in the game, but it will take some major work to get them. First, you need to get all of the badges and beat Mr. Red. Afterward, you will have to get a Kanto starter from Oak and talk to Mr. Pokemon.

He will give you a special orb which you then take to the Embedded Tower and from there you can fight Groudon or Kyogre depending on the version of the game you’re playing. For Raquaza, you have to get another orb and return to the tower.

After catching Lugia, are you wondering where to go? No problem! Go to Prof. Elm and talk. Then, near your house, go to the water – use the surf there and go East. When you land there, a man will say you’ve landed on Kanto. Go past Tohjo falls, and a short distance you will reach the Reception. Careful, you must battle your rival at the end. After that, exit and you’re on Indigo Plateau.

What Is The Best Starter To Have In Pokemon Heartgold And Soulsilver

Hello!

Today I thought Id write which is the best starter Pokemon to have in Pokemon HeartGold;and SoulSilver, as the post I did a while ago, What is the Best Starter to have in Pokemon Black and White?, was a big hit!

So, lets take a look at the Pokemon themselves

Chikorita:

Chikorita;is the Grass type starter in HeartGold;and SoulSilver.

It evolves into Bayleef;at Level 16, and Meganium at Level 32.

All of its evolutions are pure Grass type.

Chikorita;is not considered the best Johto starter Pokemon by other people, but what is the truth? Well find out later.

Cyndaquil:

Cyndaquil;is the Fire type starter in HeartGold;and SoulSilver.

It evolves into Quilava;at Level 14 and into Typhlosion at Level 36.

All of its evolutions are pure Fire type.

Cyndaquil;is probably the most favoured out of the Johto starters, but how does it fare with Stats? Well see soon.

Totodile:

Totodile;is the Water type starter in HeartGold;and SoulSilver.

It evolves into Croconaw;at Level 18 and into Feraligatr at Level 30.

All of its evolutions are pure Water type.

Totodile;and its evolutions are probably best renouned for their Attack Stats, but is that really the case? Lets go and compare the starters now to find out!

So, after some Stat-comparing on all the final starter evolutions, and this is what I found!

HP: When it comes to HP Stats, Feraligatr; just beats the rest with a base Stat total of 85.

Special Attack: Typhlosion; is definitely the best with a base Stat total of 109.

Chikorita The Leaf Pokemon

This big eyed cutie pie will definitely find a spot in the hearts of most trainers. It and its evolutions, Bayleef and Meganium, are perhaps the best looking of the three starting pokemon.

However, looks isn’t everything. If you want to prove your toughness and pokemon training ability, Chikorita is the way to go. With a weakness against the first two gym leaders, who carry flying and bug pokemon respectively, you will need to level up a lot before being able to move on in the game. Having Chikorita on your team is a hit or miss, as it will either be really strong against a certain type or pretty much useless. Be sure to carry an electric and water type along with you if you start with Chikorita.

Luckily, to help you with the challenge, Chikorita is the best starter pokemon in terms of defense stat. You will be counting on Chikorita to simply outlast its foes early on. Also, having Chikorita on those long surfs and cave tripsp filled with water and rock pokemon is very useful.

How To Get All Three Starters In Pokemon Heartgold Or Soulsilver

  • 2 DS or DSi systems

  • “HeartGold” or “SoulSilver” game

  • Pokemon DS game, such as “Pearl” or “Diamond”

You have a choice of one of three great starter Pokemon in the “HeartGold” or “SoulSilver” games: Chikorita, a grass Pokemon; Cyndaquil, a fire Pokemon; and Tootdile, a water Pokemon. However, what if you want to get all three starters? Fortunately, this is not just an impossible dream.

Begin your “HeatGold” or “SoulSilver” game by going downstairs and talking to your mom.

Go next door to Professor Elm’s house. He will let you choose one of the three starters. Choose one and then head out for Mr. Pokemon’s house as Professor Elm asks you to. After receiving the mystery egg from Professor Elm, head back to New Bark Town where you started out and go to Professor Elm’s house to give him the egg. Next, go to your Mom’s house to tell her of your adventure. Next, head West out of town and you run into Ethan, who will give you five pokeballs. Head towards Cherrygrove city. On the way, be sure to capture at least one Pokemon. When you get to Cherrygrove City, go into a Pokecenter and go upstairs and into a Union room.

Turn on your second DS with the other Pokemon game inside it. Make sure that you have a Pokemon in your party that you don’t mind losing forever. Go into a Pokecenter and go upstairs and join a Union room.

Conduct a trade between the two games, trading the Pokemon you don’t mind losing for the starter Pokemon.

Obtain Kanto Starter Pokmon From Professor Oak

After you’ve obtained all 16 badges and beat Trainer Red, you can get one of three Kanto starters in the Kanto region. To get either Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle, you must talk to Professor Oak in Pallet Town after completing the previously mentioned tasks.

Who you choose is up to you. These Pokémon are some of the most impactful in existence. The fact you can get these Kanto starters in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver is stupendous.

    Cyndaquil The Fire Mouse Pokemon

Fire pokemon are actually few and far between in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. You won’t see one until after the third gym fight, when you might run into a Growlithe or Vulpix on your way to earn the fourth badge. Additionally, both Growlithe and Vulpix needs a fire stone to evolve, which is also hard to come by.

Cyndaquil has an easy time in most of your major battles throughout the game. With a type advantage over Bug, Steel, Grass, and Ice, Cyndaquil will only face trouble against the eighth gym leader Clair, who uses Dragons.

However, Cyndaquil suffers from a low defense stat. Don’t expect it and its evolutions, Quilava and Typhlosion, to take too many hits. Also, Cyndaquil will not have many fire attacks early on. You will be holding onto Ember for awhile before Lava Plume and Flamethrower comes along.

  • How The Fight Against Bugsy Went Down:

Pokemon Soul Silver Randomizer Nuzlocke 1

Bugsy was actually really scary to fight. I totally forgot that Scyther had Focus Energy! The constant threat of critical hits was about to give me a heart attack! It actually went pretty well though. I used Pidgeottos Whirlwind to get rid of Scyther while I dealt with Metapod and Kakuna. I managed to paralyse Scyther with Thunder Wave, but Mary only just survived Scythers U-Turn attack with 1HP left! Quilava took care of the rest from there, though I had to use up a Super Potion. Nobody died though!

I think Im going to do some extra training for my Rival now to be on the safe side. Ill post my updated team when Ive finished battling him.

Who Is Better Typhlosion Or Feraligatr

Feraligatr is generally deemed the better of the two. Typhlosion is a great pokemon, especially for in-game, but its movepool is viewed as too shallow to use competitively and its thrown into the NU tier. But if youre just looking for a starter, go for whatever you like more. Anything works in-game.

Find The Blue Flute In Viridian Forest

Although one can use the Pokégear to play the Poké Flute song on the radio, there is also something called a “Blue Flute.” The Blute Flute can be used to awaken Pokémon in battle while the radio card cannot.

The Blue Flute is found in the Kanto region and is similar to the Poké Flute. Head to the beginning area of the Viridian Forest and you should find the Blue Flute laying on the ground. It awakens your Pokémon for free, so it beats using an Awakening item.

From New Bark Town To Falkner The First Gym Leader In Violet City:

Quilava / Fondue | Level 15 | Met at Level 5 in New Bark Town.

    Quick Attack, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember

    Bashful nature, Blaze Ability, Male.

Notes: Pretty reliable, OHKOd Falkners Pidgey but I guess thats not too much of a surprise considering my much I;over-levelled;this guy. Cyndaquil was actually the first Pokemon I ever started with so itll be cool to see what I do with this little guy.

    Pidgey / Pudgey | Level 12 | Met at Level 2 in Route 29.

    Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust

Serious nature, Tangled Feet ability, Female.

Notes: Pidgey is a Pokemon I usually roll with in games where its available early on. Nice rounded stats when its a Pidgeott, immunity to Ghost types is a nice touch and she should be somewhat useful against a few of the gyms scattered around Johto.

    Beedrill / Bumble | Level 11 | Met at Level 3 in Route 30.

Poison Sting, String Shot, Harden, Fury Attack

    Serious nature, Swarm ability, Female.

Notes: Honestly? I have never, ever properly used a Beedrill. Ever. Looking at is learn pool on Bulbapedia I can see why as well. Id pick a Compoundeyes Butterfree over this any day but hey, the point of a Nuzlocke is to forge unexpected bromances with Pokemon you hardly use, right? Definitely gonna have to see what TMs I can set this fella up with though.

    Bellsprout / Venus | Level 12 | Met at Level 3 in Route 31.

    Vine Whip, Growth, Wrap

    Hasty nature, Chlorophyll ability, Female.

    Flaaffy / Mary | Level 15 | Met at Level 6 in Route 32.
