How To Prepare For Slugma Spotlight Hour In Pokemon Go

ã?ð´LIVE!ãSpotlight Hour :: Slugma | Pokemon GO

Here are a few ways players can prepare for this upcoming Spotlight Hour for Slugma.

  • Clear Out Your Storage: Pokemon Storage is fairly limited, especially if the player doesn’t use their PokeCoins to increase it. Make sure to clean out your inventory of unwanted Pokemon to make space for Slugma. You’ll be catching plenty of them during this time.
  • Stardust: Make sure to use a Star Piece during this time to double the amount of Stardust you collect. Since spawns will be happening so often, it’s a great way to gather tons of it.
  • Lucky Egg: If you have a Lucky Egg, now is the chance to use it. This will double the amount of XP the player will earn during this period. Double the Candy and double the XP is always a good thing.
  • Special Research: For those looking to complete a Special Research Task that requires you to capture Fire-type Pokemon, now is your chance. The Shiny Mew Special Research needs players to catch as many as possible.

Pokemon Go will continue to host Spotlight Hours throughout the rest of the year. It is unknown what April will hold but more chances to gather as much material as possible. Always try to catch them all.

Pokemon Go is available now on iOS and Android.

Pokemon Go March 30 Spotlight Hour: Everything You Need To Know

Don’t get burned!

March is almost over, but theres still one more Spotlight Hour event to look forward to in Pokemon Go.

On March 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Slugma will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and youll receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when catching Pokemon. This Pokemon Candy bonus will apply to every Pokemon you capture during this one-hour event, and not just Slugma.

Slugma is a Fire-type Pokemon from the second generation of the Pokemon universe. It has a single evolution. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Slugma into Magcargo using 50 Slugma Candy.

As of this writing, Shiny Slugma isnt available in Pokemon Go.

To make the most of this weeks event, remember to toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon before catching them. This will allow you to earn 12 Pokemon Candy for each Pokemon you capture, rather than six. Also remember that you can activate an Incense to attract wild Pokemon to your location for a limited time. This will give you more Pokemon to capture, and more opportunities to stock up on Pokemon Candy!

What Spotlight Hours Are Coming In April

What Can We Expect From The Skitty Spotlight Hour

For anyone who isnt used to this particular Pokemon Go event type, Spotlight hours are basically a one-hour long event consisting of all spawns being replaced by a single Pokemon, in this case, that means Skitty. A whole lot of Skitty.

The spawn replacing effects are quite similar to what youd expect from a Community day, but Spotlight hours do not come with all the other extras, they are very simple affairs comparatively.

This is all great if you like Skitty, not so much if youre not really a fan of the Gen-3 Kitten Pokemon. Fortunately, there is also typically an additional bonus.

The event bonus can occasionally go some way to compensating for featured Pokemon that a trainer doesnt want though on this occasion the bonus is quite disappointing, doubled candy per capture is a nice bonus if youre a fan of the featured Pokemon, but it doesnt really do anything for you if youre not.

No, Slugma is not Shiny in Pokémon Go.

Slugma cannot be Shiny in Pokémon Go, which is unfortunate news for trainers looking to take advantage of its spotlight hour.

Is Shiny Slugma Available In Pokemon Go

Check Out Pokemon Go

Sadly, the answer to this question is a No. Even though Slugma was added in Pokemon Go, way back in 2017. We do not have a Shiny variant of Slugma available in the game right now.

We thought maybe it was added but not announced. So we looked all over the Social Media, Community pages, official posts and other places where we could find Shiny Slugmas existence in Pokemon Go.

As we all know, the Shiny variants serves only aesthetic purpose. So releasing a Shiny Slugma in Pokemon Go is no big deal for Niantic. However, its been more than three years with Slugma having no Shiny variant in the game and it raises concern. At current, we dont any official info on when Shiny Slugma will get added to the game.

However, if we get any information on Shiny Slugma release date. We will update this article.

Pokemon Go;is an augmented reality game based on the famous Pokemon Series. The game allows players to catch a plethora of Pokemons, do gym and PVP battles and much more.

And evolving Slugma to Magcargo will also be an easy task because well already catch a lot of Johto Pokemon.

Shiny Slugma

Slugma appeared for the first time back in 2017. You might think that this Pokemon would get its Shiny form by now.

Unfortunately, Slugma doesnt have a Shiny form. So, this March 30 Spotlight Hour wont feature that at all.

However, there are still many chances to get one soon. Niantic is known for its way of managing stuff around Pokemon Go, later than sooner.

What Are The Odds Of Finding A Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go

Currently, most estimate Shiny encounters outside of events at 1/400, but during events the chances are much higher, sometimes even as high as 1/20. Even outside of events, however, this is a dramatic increase from the 1/4096 base rate in core games, or 1/512 using both the Masuda Method and a Shiny Charm.

That having been said, Its still random, so you can get a Shiny right away, or it might take you two or even three times as long as someone else. Your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon that spawns.

Is Shiny Slugma And Shiny Magcargo Available During The Spotlight Hour

After the months Spotlight Hours started so strongly, with the first three events offering shiny variants, things seem to have slowed down.

Last week, the Surskit Spotlight Hour was a disappointment, with no shiny Pokemon available and unfortunately, this one will be the same.

Slugma and Magcargo are two of only a small number of second-generation Pokemon who havent had their shiny forms released yet.

Can Slugma Be Shiny In Pokemon Go

The answer is, sadly, no. Niantic hasnt released shiny Pokemon for any of their Spotlight Hour events in a long time. There will be a large amount of Slugmas to be caught during the hour, but none of them will be shiny.

This is a bit disappointing seeing as though most of the other Generation II Pokemon already have shiny forms. Slugma was released in Pokemon Go back in 2017 and still hasnt received a shiny version.

Slugma was one of the new Pokemon introduced in Generation II that could only be caught in the Kanto Region. It evolves into Magcargo, a lava snail that used to be the only Fire-type and Rock-type Pokemon in existence .

Magcargos claim to fame was likely its inclusion on Gym Leader Blaines team in the Generation II games. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, Baines Macargo had a White Herb, so when the Pokemon used Overheat and had its Special Attack dropped, White Herb would reset its stats. This was definitely a surprise for players to deal with.

Niantic has gone through the rest of the Generations, having recently released shiny forms for most of the Generation V Pokemon as well as the Talonflame line from Generation VI. Many fan favorites from Pokemon Gold and Silver, such as Typhloshion, Ampharos and Tyranitar, have all received shiny forms.

What Do Shiny Slugma And Shiny Magcargo Look Like

Slugma and Magcargo look like creatures youd find at the bottom of your garden, except if they were made out of glowing orange lava.

Slugma is a bright orange slug and Magcargo is an orange snail with a grey shell.

Their shiny forms on the other hand offer drastic changes and are definitely one of the cooler shiny variants in Pokemon from the Johto region.

Slugma turns from its usual orange colour to a much more understated grey. This offers a major contrast to what were used to.

Magcargo goes in the other direction. Rather than turning a duller colour, the Pokemon becomes a vivid purple with its shell turning more orange.

When Is The Spotlight Hour

SLUGMA SPOTLIGHT HOUR

The Slugma Spotlight Hour starts on the 30th of March, at 6:00 PM local time, and ends one hour later at 7:00 PM local time.

This is the standard duration for spotlight hours, as the name would suggest.

Pokemon Go Slugma Spotlight: Getting A Strong Magcargo Quickly

The Slugma spotlight hour in Pokemon GO starts tonight, March 30, 2021, at 6:00 PM local time and lasts until 7:00 PM, giving players plenty of time to catch a plethora of magmatic slugs.

While Slugma’s shiny form has not yet been introduced, it’s still worthwhile to take advantage of this limited-time event. Slugma’s evolved form Magcargo may have a fairly weak defensive typing of Rock and Fire, but it can deal some crippling against the right match-up.

What Are Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go

Simply put, Shiny Pokémon are color variants. There is only one Shiny color variant per Pokémon. Some variants are obvious like Shiny Gyarados is red instead of blue. Others are more subtle, like Shiny Bulbasaur or Squirtle, which are the same color but slightly different shades. In the core games, every single Pokémon has a shiny variant, but in Pokémon Go, Shiny Pokémon are unlocked during Community Day, other events, or with updates.

If a Shiny isnt unlocked, it doesnt matter how many of that Pokémon you catch, youll never find a Shiny Pokémon. On the other hand, once unlocked Shiny Pokémon are far more common in Pokémon Go than they are in the core games, especially during events. Still, theyre pretty rare, so your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon to spawn. Shiny checking takes time, but once you know which species can be Shiny, it is a lot easier.

Note: One other important thing to consider when Shiny Hunting, generally you cannot catch an evolved Shiny Pokémon. For example, if you tap on an Ivysaur on the map, it cannot be Shiny, even though Shiny Bulbasaur can be caught. There are rare events where this is not the case, and Mega Raids generally have the chance of being Shiny.
