Yveltal is a powerful special sweaper with access to great dual STAB and its signature move letting it stay in matches longer despite the recoil damage from Life Orb. It’s best used as the team’s Dynamax Pokemon and lead thanks to its access to Max Airstream.
About Yveltal’s Moves
Dark Pulse is Yveltal’s main STAB move, and gets a 33% boost thanks to Dark Aura. It also has a 30% chance to cause flinching. Oblivion Wing is its secondary STAB, dealing great damage and restoring 75% of the damage it deals.
Heat Wave is its main coverage move, hitting Steel and Ice-types, as well as Grass-types with a secondary typing such as Ferrothorn.
Sucker Punch is its last move and is mostly used to hit weakened faster Pokemon, especially the ones that survive with 1 HP from a Focus Sash or Sturdy.

We’re using a basic special attacking EV spread for this build, with full investmetn in Special Attack and Speed so that Yveltal hits as hard and as fast as possible. The remaining 4 EVs are invested in Special Defense to improve its bulk.

Dark Aura is Yveltal’s only Ability, powering up all Dark-type moves by 33% as long as Yveltal is present in the field.

What Are The Best Counters For Yveltal In Pokmon Go
As a Dark and Flying type, Yveltal is capable of dealing Dark, Flying, Fighting, Psychic, and Normal type damage. Its four weaknesses, Rock, Electric, Ice, and Fairy leave a number of potential strategies for players however, with Mega Manectric or even Mega Ampharos, Electric is the best option for countering. Even without the use of Mega Evolution, Electric types make up the bulk of the recommended counters. Although Mega Abomasnow doesnt perform nearly as well as Mega Manectric, it does provide a solid option for an Ice based offensive, as well.

Is Xerneas Good In Pokemon Go
For as much potential Xerneas has, the simple answer is no.
Despite having a great max CP and a perfect type for the Master League, Xerneas moveset lets it down massively.
It cant even crack the 400 top Pokemon in the Ultra League according to PVPoke and comes in at a lowly 134th place in the Master League, once powered up with XL Candies to level 50. It does still manage to beat Yveltal and Palkia though.
The only reason that its worth raiding now is to stock up on Candies in anticipation that it might get a reworked movepool but if youre not too bothered, its a dex filler and nothing more.

The Best Pokmon Counters To Yveltal
Some of the best Pokémon you can use against it include Zekrom, Rhyperior, and Togekiss.
Zekrom is a Dragon and Electric-type Pokémon. Besides Therian Thundurus, its one of the best Electric-type Pokémon to use in the Master League or raids. Zekrom can shut down Yveltal pretty hard given its array of Electric-type attacks. The best moveset for Zekrom to use against Yvetal will be charge beam for its fast move, followed by wild charge and outrage.
The next choice is Rhyperior, a Ground and Rock-type Pokémon. While this is a Ground-type Pokémon, Rhyperior being a Rock-type makes up for it. Rhyperior has quite a bit of defense to withstand Yvetals attacks. The bad thing that Yvetals charge move, focus blast, is super effective against Rhyperior, and that can lead to some problems. The best moveset Rhyperior can use against Yvetal will the fast move smack down, followed by rock wrecker and stone edge for its charged moves.
The last choice we want to bring up is Togekiss, a Fairy and Flying-type Pokémon. Togekiss is always the ideal choice in the Master League and Master League Classic to defeat many Dragon-type Pokémon and some of the more niche choices. Yveltal now fits that category, and you want to use a Togekiss in your team to counter it both in PvP and when battling it in raids. The best moveset Togekiss can be charm for its fast move, followed by ancient power and flamethrower.

Best Yveltal Counters In Pokmon Go
The best Yveltal counters in Pokémon GO are Fairy, Electric, Ice, and Rock-type Pokémon. Rock-types are weak if Yveltal is carrying Focus Blast, however, so Electric-types are safest. As such, were building a party of Togekiss, Thundurus, Zekrom, and Mega Manectric to take on the Dark and Flying-type legendary.
Youll want to try to get an Yveltal with 100% IVs for taking down raid bosses and tackling the Master League alike. In raids, keep an eye out for 2,160 CP Yveltal as it will have maxed out stats. If its windy or foggy weather in-game, however, Yveltal will benefit from weather boost, and you need to keep your eyes peeled for 2,701 CP.
You should only need three trainers to take down Yveltal.

Xerneas Types: Advantages And Disadvantages
From Gen I to Gen V, there are only 17 Pokemon types available. When Kalos region was introduced in “Pokemon X and Y’ in 2013, the Fairy type entered the scene.

In PVP, the maximum CP that you can get for Xerneas is 3,781 which consists of 209 in attack, 206 in stamina, and 158 in defense. When fighting against Team Rocket or during PVE raids, it possesses 250 attack, 246 stamina, and 185 defense which are all fine for a stat line.

After a Yveltal raid, you’ll have alimited number of Premier Balls you can use to catch it, so make each onecount. You can earn extra Premier Balls for battling with friends and defeatingYveltal quickly.
In an encounter with Yveltal, your chanceof catching it is greatest when the size of the target ring is small enough foryou to score Excellent Throws. Throwing Curveballs can improve your chanceseven more.
