Pokmon Neo Revelation 1st Edition Holo Blissey #2

GOLD PLATED POKEMON CARDS REVIEW!

Another card from the 2001 Neo Revelation set, Blissey is the evolved form of Chansey, which takes the fifth spot on our list.;

Despite being released a couple of years after the base set, it still suffers from issues relating to the condition due to the white background and the yellow border.;

In terms of design, theyve opted for a more realistic blob, but its still surrounded by silver holofoil which is damaged easily.

There are just 10 gem mint copies as of now, making for one of the rarest commercially available Pokémon cards ever produced.;

Kanghaskan Parent/child Promo Card

PWCC gives background on the Kanghaskan Parent/Child Promo card in its listing. Parent/Child Mega Battle tournament challenged thousands of parent-child teams to compete in a series of battles until they reached a certain number of wins. All teams who reached this magic number earned a prize that matched the parent-child theme: a holographic Kanghaskan Parent/Child Promo card. It’s one of the few cards that features the “Pocket Monsters Card Game” logo on the back of the card as well as the front.;

As of October 2020, PSA assessed a total of 46 of these cards with only 11 meeting PSA 10 standards. The limited number that were given out, like with the trainer trophy cards, boosted their value. According to PWCC, this card ranks as the 3rd rarest Pokemon card in the world.

PWCC Marketplace auctioned the first gem mint condition Kanghaskan promo card for $150,000 in October 2020. Before that, a PSA 7 example held the record sale for $35,000.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Venusaur #15

Now were getting somewhere. The final evolution of the starter Pokémon Bulbasaur, Venusaur had a massive part to play in both the games and the anime as one of the mainstays in Ashs party.;

It featured on-the-box art for the original Japanese version of the game, although the Green edition was never released worldwide.;

With over 137 PSA 10 copies in existence, the original holo Venusaur is clearly a coveted card.;

It may pale in comparison to the likes of Blastoise and Charizard, but its still a member of the original trio that players got to choose from.;

Valuable: Pikachu 1999 Poketour Promo

This Pikachu comes from the 1999 Australia Poketour and is another hard one to find. It’s hard is the original printing of Pikachu with the addition of the “Poketour 1999” stamp in gold foiling.

This one isn’t as high as some of the others on the list, but you’re still looking at a couple hundred dollars on the marketplace.

Not Worth Much: Pikachu Legendary Treasures: Radiant Collection

Gold plated pokemon cards price.

Though the “look at the shiny thing” tactic might suggest importance, this card is quite cheap. Yes, it is labeled uncommon, and yes, there are fewer listings than usual, but;$7;for a card like this is underwhelming,

You might be able to trick your friends into believing you got it for some exorbitant price, but we all know deep down inside that you didn’t.

Holographic Shadowless Charizard: $500000

There are a lot of factors that make the Holographic Shadowless First Edition Charizard card worth so much compared to any other Charizard card. Firstly, it’s a first edition version of the undoubtedly most popular Kanto starter, which already makes it extra valuable to most pokemon fans. Alongside this, the card is also shadowless, which essentially means the card lacks a shadow between the box containing the image of the Pokemon, and the rest of the card.

This “Shadowless” effect is not a misprint or a mistake. It’s actually the original Pokemon card design, as the foiling process has changed and provided a different look to modern holographic and foil cards. These Charizard cards have become one of the prime reasons for the Pokemon Card trend of the past two years, with YouTuber Logan Paul opening one as recently as February 2021 that was estimated by auction site owner Ken Goldin to sell for upwards of $500,000.

Ishihara Gx Pokmon Card

The Ishihara GX card isn’t a trading card or trophy card, but a gift. PSA’s blog post describes the history of the card, including how Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of The Pokemon Company, handed these cards out to guests at his 60th birthday party during the 2018 Pokémon World Championship in Nashville, Tenn. Mike Cressy’s design features the CEO reaching for a Master Ball with a Rotom at his side. You can find a plethora of “60” references on the card, like the “60 Congratulations!” attack move that inflicts 1060 damage.;

Collector’s Cache posted the first known auction for an Ishihara card in April 2019. Later, the collectible retailer sold a PSA 10 card for a record $50,000. Collector’s Cache General Manager Behman Zakeri claimed between 30 and 200 cards were printed for Ishihara’s birthday. The exact number remains a mystery, but it’s low enough to keep this card as a well-known exclusive collectible throughout the community. PSA appraised and recorded four total Ishihara cards auctioned on the market as of July 2020.

Tamamushi University Magikarp: $50000

The Tamamushi University Magikarp card is so rare that despite the fact that it depicts a frankly awful Pokemon, it’s worth ridiculous sums of money. Why the high price? Well, the University Magikarp was a promotional card that saw very limited distribution at a Japanese tournament in the late 1990s.

In total, 1000 of the cards were produced but far fewer were actually awarded and many were just stowed away forever. Barely any of these rare Magikarp cards are still in circulation today, and its incredibly rare to see new ones show up. At the moment, PSA Cards Price Guide chart lists perfectly-preserved cards to have sold for around $50,000, while copies with NM-MT 8 ratings still sell for amazing heights of $12,000.

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Raichu #14

We begin the top 10 with the evolution for the most popular Pokémon on the planet.;

The evolved form of Pikachu, Raichu is similar in design to the electric mouse that traveled everywhere with Ash Ketchum.

Its nowhere near as popular, but the association with Pikachu has helped to boost values in recent years.;

With 87 gem mint copies according to the registry, its not especially rare by any means, while the foil is a neutral sparkly silver.;

It manages to snag a spot in the top ten, but Id personally prefer an Alakazam or a Mewtwo rather than a Pokémon most people disregard in favor of the base version.

Pokmon Neo Genesis 1st Edition Holo Lugia #9

Lugia appears on the box of Pokémon Silver, its remake Pokémon SoulSilver, and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, as a legendary god of the sea.;

As with Blissey and Chansey, it has a white background, and silver foil surrounds the image.;

Released as part of the 2000 Nintendo Neo Genesis set, a gem mint first-edition copy sold for $129,000 in 2020.

If you need an explanation for the price tag, its because there are only 42 gem mint copies, the Pokémon itself is exceptionally popular, and it was released a year after the original set.

Pokmon Neo Destiny 1st Edition Shining Charizard #107

23k gold pokemon cards value.

It didnt take long for a Charizard to make it onto the list.;

Rather than the Shadowless first edition version found in the base collection, were looking at the 2002 Shining Charizard that came with the Neo Destiny set.;

The first offering to highlight Light Pokémon, which counterbalanced the more aggressive Dark Pokémon in gameplay, it was also the first issue to feature Shining cards with a design that presented only the Pokémon in foil material in the artwork.

The Charizard is one such example, finished in a muted silver foil that contrasts well with the rest of the card.;

There are 222 PSA 10 copies according to the registry, but that hasnt stopped values from rising due to the popularity of the fire-breathing lizard.;

Shining cards were originally inserted at a 300:1 rate.;

Pokmon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Holo Machamp #8

Heading back to before the turn of the millennium, the 1999 set contains yet another expensive card featuring one of the original 151 Pokémon.;

The fighting-type Machamp is the third and final evolution, starting with Machop and Machoke.

As for Machamp, hes flexing two of his four arms in the image, surrounded by a holo swirl of energy.;

There are just a handful of pristine shadowless first edition versions, which makes sense as it wasnt particularly sought after in the first place.;

Valuable: Pretend Magikarp And Gyarados

Unless you were in Japan to witness the grand opening of the;Pokémon Center in Hiroshima, we doubt you’ve seen these cards recently. This is a rarer XY-P card, but throughout the collection, you can see a common thread: be there or be square.

As a set of two, listings suggest a ripe;$2,000. That is pretty hardcore for some cute looking cards!

Pokmon Jungle 1st Edition Holo Snorlax #11

The 1999 Complete 1st Edition only covered about a third of the original Pokédex, with a number of heavy-hitters left out.;

One such Pokémon was Snorlax, who played a large role in the first Game Boy games.;

64 cards were released in the series, which added a number of interesting holo shinies to the original collection.;

These cards featured different illustrators who brought their own ideas to the fore when designing the images.;

Snorlax is found in the jungle expansion, as the eleventh card in the 99 release.;

Only 71 copies have earned gem mint status so far, and the lazy Pokémon features on a difficult card to seek out.;

Most Expensive Pokemon Card In The World

Opinions may differ but the most expensive Pokemon card in the world as of June 2021 in our opinion is the 1999 Base First Edition Chaziard Holo #4 Logan Paul Pokemon Card with a BGS 10 Pristine grade.

The card was purchase by Paul in December of 2020 and was recently worn in his fight with Floyd Money Mayweather. He claims the card is worth 1 million dollars and we think he is actually pretty close.

We value the 1999 First Edition Chaziard Holo #4 Logon Paul Pokemon Card between $700,000 to $900,000.

Not Worth Much: Pikachu Xy Evolutions

A few years back, Pokémon decided to release a throwback set where they updated the stats of their first couple of sets. There were a few new cards too, particularly Mega Evolutions, and they had retro printings produced for them as well.

Pikachu received a reprint of the original Pikachu Pokémon card, but it wasn’t worth much and hasn’t risen much since then. You can still pick this one up now for about $.20.

Holographic Shadowless Mewtwo: $20000

While the other Kanto starters dont come close to Charizard in the realm of First Edition cards, its hard to ignore the second-place winner off of its fame in the series. Most Pokemon fans are plenty aware of Mewtwo from the original Pokemon movie, and as a result cards featuring the character will often go for record-high prices in any set.

Much like the First Edition Charizard mentioned earlier, Mewtwo has its own Holographic and Shadowless version that PSA Collector has seen sold for at least $20,000, putting it far above Venusaur and Blastoise but still far below everyones favorite Fire-type tyrant of the skies.

Embarrassing: Burger King Kids Club Bug Riders

Gold plated pokemon cards price.

The ultra-hip and painfully-90s boomers, I.Q., J.D., Lingo, Snaps, Wheels, Jazz and their epic leader, Kid Vid, were all members of Burger Kings Kids Club. They acted as child-friendly mascots for the anti-Happy Meal.

This group would receive quite a few toy sets during their tenure, and while most of which were pretty darn cool, they also had their share of misfires. The bug-riding variant was definitely one of them.

Compared to other offerings, these cheap-looking and barely-functional toys were not only weird to look at, but not that fun to play with.

The Masked Royal Prize Promo: $18000

This is undoubtedly one of the most recent rare cards, featuring the Masked Royal character from Pokemon Sun & Moon and released as recently as 2017. This is essentially a promotional card that was given out to players in an invitation-only prerelease in Tokyo for the new Shining Legends set, where only 100 copies were made.

Even though this is a relatively normal card by most standards, this short print run means its incredibly hard to get, especially since it was handed out in such a restrictive event. As a result, there are actually preserved tweets of players first opening it in places like Pokeboon, while Japanese trading sites like Miyabi Hobby have past listings of the card at ¥2,000,000, which currently is equal to around $18,000 USD.

Tropical Mega Battle: $10000

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, an annual Pokemon Trading Card Game tournament was held in Honolulu, Hawaii. At this 1999 event, just 12 of these Tropical Mega Battle cards were produced to be distributed to some of the lucky 50 players who attended the event, meaning the remaining number of mint copies is especially low all these years later.

Showing a Psyduck having a nap in a hammock on a tropical island, this legendary Trainer Card sells for a whole lot of cash thanks to its rarity. In fact, according to the Telegraph, a mint-condition version of the card once sold for $10,000, making it a prime example of how valuable Pokemon TCG prize cards can eventually be.

Pokemon Players Club Shiny Umbreon: $1900

23K Gold Plated Pikachu Card (rare Pokemon card)

If you’ve got a soft spot for the blue and black shiny version of the Dark-type Pokemon Umbreon, then be aware that you’re not the only one. The Japanese version of the Shining Umbreon Pokemon card is pretty highly desired, with its unique coloring and gorgeous frame-piercing artwork making it fittingly beautiful as one of the first shiny Pokemon to appear on a card.

However, its price is so high because of much more than just its looks and popularity. The Shining Umbreon card only saw a very limited release through the Japanese Pokemon Players’ Club for hitting the maximum number of experience points through the club between 2005 and 2006, making it one of the rarest cards out there. For this reason, Troll and Toad has had it listed at just near and impressive $1900.

How much is a Pokemon special edition 23 karat gold plated trading card worth? Really, though, Burger Kings gold-plated Pokemon cards are next to worthless. A quick browse on eBay reveals theyre going for roughly $5 to $20 USD each, though there are a couple of listings for all six cards, in-box, near $100.

Holographic Shadowless Venusaur: $3260

Just like its Kanto starter counterpart Charizard, Venusaur’s Shadowless, holographic, first edition version is a coveted card among Pokemon fans. It doesn’t quite reach the heights of Charizard’s $500,000, but Venusaur always was slightly less popular compared to the other Kanto starters anyway.

Nonetheless, these cards were rare even in their original late-1990s heyday, so you can imagine how sought-after they are now. Buying one through Troll and Toad right now can cost you as little $390, but the compilation site Pokemon Prices has records of them selling up to $3260.
