How Does The NEW Gym System/Raids Work In Pokémon GO | DansTube.TV

While one of the best parts of Pokémon Go is making friends with other Trainers, not everyone is comfortable approaching strangers to join in Raids which often need several players to beat. This is even harder when trying to organize Remote Raids. Although there are groups on Facebook and Discord where players can find members to fill in their Raid party, PokeRaid – Raid From Home is an app with the sole purpose of making it easy to find players for Remote Raids. And be sure to check out our best Pokémon Go accessories, so you’ve got plenty of Potions and Revives for afterwards!

Are There Different Levels Of Raids

There are five different levels, called Tiers, to Raids, indicated by the number of Raid medals that appear above the Raid Egg or Raid Boss.

  • Tier 1: Easy Raids. Even intermediate players can try them by themselves.
  • Tier 2: Standard Raids. A couple intermediate or one advanced player can handle them.
  • Tier 3: Hard Raids. A few intermediate or a couple advanced players can take them on. A few of them, like Machamp, Gengar, and Alakazam can be done solo.
  • Tier 4: Very hard Raids. 8-12 or so intermediate or 4-8 advanced players are needed to attempt them.
  • Tier 5: Legendary Raids. 10 or intermediate or 5 or more advanced players are recommended.

Each Tier has its own set of Raid Bosses, each tougher than the Tier before.

Make Friends In Pokeraid

While most people using PokeRaid – Raid From Home will only complete a Raid together before removing each other from their Friends’ List, there is even an option built into the app to add new Friends specifically for sending gifts and earning XP. Much like participating in Raids, if you tap on the icon next to a user, it will copy their friend code which you can add the same way you normally would. You can even tap on their name in the app to send a message for coordinating Trades and using Lucky Eggs to maximize your XP.

Pokemon Go Raid Level Requirement

My First and Last Ex Raid

Alas, there is a catch to all this. Players that want to take part in raids will need to be a certain level to get raiding – and it’s a level that means you’ll have to be a fairly dedicated or longer-time Pokemon Go player to join.

Right now you’ll need to be at least Trainer Level 20 in order to take part in raids. This has been lowered twice during beta, players need to be level 35 to participate in Pokemon GO raids, and shortly after the update launched, they needed to be level 25. Level 20, the new requirement, is much more achievable – but still might be out of reach of some of the more casual Pokemon Go players.

If you’re below level 20 you’ll still be able to get to grips with a lot of Pokemon Go’s new features including the reworked gyms, gym badges and so on, and these will help you to level up quickly.

If you need some help getting yourself up to level 20 quickly, we’ve got a page full of Pokemon Go EXP grinding tips to help you out.

Can You Get Or Keep More Than One Free Raid Pass

Sadly, no. You can only have one Free Raid Pass at a time and you keep it until you use it.

If you use your Free Raid Pass the same day you get it, you have to wait until the next day to use it. If you have a Free Raid Pass from a a previous day that you haven’t used yet, you can use it and then spin and get another one for that day, and use it as well, but then you’d still have to wait until the next day for another one.

You can, however, buy as many Premium Raid Passes as you want.

How Do Raids Work From Home

Twenty Trainers can join the same Raid Battle, with a limited number of Trainers using a Remote Raid Pass.

Raid Battles that you complete with a Remote Raid Pass will count toward any raid-related research tasks or achievement medals.

At launch, Trainers battling in raids remotely will have the same attack power as Trainers who are able to battle at the raid location in person.

At a later time, the attack power for Trainers battling remotely will be reduced. Afterward, a Trainer battling at the raid location in person will have higher attack power than a Trainer battling remotely.

Youll need one Pass to join one Raid, with 20 players in total being allowed to join the same Raid Battle.

Niantic say theyll be making adjustments to this feature over time, including changes to the number of Trainers who can join remotely, the ability to invite friends to raids regardless of their location, and the mentioned adjustment to attack power for Trainers battling in a raid remotely.

What Is A Raid Battle In Pokemon Go

The more seasoned video game fans among you might have heard the term ‘raid battle’ before outside of Pokemon Go – the term is typically used around other massive online games such as World of Warcraft to refer to a large-scale boss that multiple players will tackle together. It’s very challenging but also very rewarding content, and the type of thing that many players will do over and over again, completing the raid many times in order to grind for the raid’s special rewards.

In Pokemon Go, raid battles let you tackle super high-level Pokemon – Pokemon with a CP into the five figure range or quite possibly even higher. This will take multiple players multiple Pokemon even for easier encounters, though raids come in a variety of formats.

Each Pokemon Go raid is rated between one and five – one are the easiest and will feature weaker Pokemon, albeit super powered-up versions of them, such as a mega-CP Magikarp. Most of the raids you’ll see will hover around the 2-4 range, which could range from everything from a beastly Pidgey to a Dragonite. We haven’t seen a five-star raid yet, but we strongly suspect this high rank will suggest legendary Pokemoun encounters.

The raid rating represents not just the Pokemon you’ll face but also the difficulty. The lower the raid ranking the more easily you should be able to tackle the encounter with less Pokemon and less players hitting it at once.

How Are Ex Raid Venues Determined

The exact parameters of how host gyms are determined arent known, but the games community has an idea of some of the factors at work. Pokémon Go Hub has a lengthy and technical article on the subject, but to summarise some of the most useful points:

    • For EX Raid purposes, the world map is divided into squares between 0.76 to 1.59km2 big
    • Only one EX Raid can happen per cell, per EX Raid wave
    • An EX Raid gym must reach a minimum amount of raid activity to be a candidate venue for hosting the next wave in a cell

The takeaway here is that youre better off raiding at EX Raid Gyms a good distance apart, rather than concentrating on lots of parks local to each other. However, with luck and randomness a key part of EX Raiding, your first step should be to check with your local Pokémon GO community to find the EX Raid Gyms they typically focus on/the Gyms theyve had the most luck with.

    Prepare your raiding gear.

When you initially get into Pokémon Go, youll find yourself roaming around the wild to collect your first set of Pokémon. Alongside increasing your trainer level, youll also learn the basics of the game.

As you progress further in the game, more features will unlock, including Gyms and Raids. These two are the two prime game modes where youll be battling out with your Pokémon by your side.

Before a Raid officially kicks off, you should notice an egg in front of a Gym near you. Once the egg hatches, the Gym will turn into a Raid, and a timer will kick off, indicating how long youll have to beat the Raid. A Raid Pass will be required to participate, and you also need to be present around the Gym that the raid was supposed to take place in. Niantic introduced Remote Raid Passes during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, allowing players to participate in Raids from the comfort of their home.

Raid Hours are global events that take an hour, increasing the spawn rate of a Pokémon or a group of Pokémon in Raids that kick off with the event. Raid Hours also spice up the regular Raids with new Rare, Legendary, or Mythical Pokémon as Raid Bosses. They can also have exclusive moves that can catch you off-guard, so prepare for trouble and expect it to get doubled.

How Do I Get Premier Balls

How to Raid From Home in Pokemon GO – Pokemon GO Remote Raiding

Premier balls are exclusive to raids, and are the sole type of Poké ball that you can use to try and capture the raid boss if you successfully defeat it. You cant collect premier balls using the ordinary means, and will instead earn a set number depending on the following factors:

    • Defeat the boss: five premier balls
    • Damage: up to four premier balls
    • Gym: up to two if you control gym
    • Team contribution: you gain extra premier balls depending on the damage your team, as a whole, inflicts
    • Friends: Raid with a friend to receive up to four extra premier balls

So, as you can see, its possible to earn a fair number of extra balls by paying attention to the above.

What Do You Do Once You’ve Entered The Raid

As soon as you’ve begun the Raid, you’ll be placed in the lobby and a 120 second timer will begin counting down. That’s so that other people can join. The public group has its own code, just like Private Groups, so if you remember it, you can give it to anyone who shows up a little late.

While you’re in the lobby, you can choose your Battle Team, or the roster of 6 Pokémon you want to use to take on the Raid Boss. It’s just like choosing a Battle Team to fight a Gym, but you only have to match up against the one Raid Boss, not the up to 6 other Pokémon that might be in a Gym.

You can also look at the profiles of other raiders and even revive or heal any Pokémon that might need it.

Warning: Going to the Item page to revive and heal Pokémon currently resets your Battle Team to the default one selected by the system. Sometimes it doesn’t show you the reset and you only see it’s been reset when you start the battle, which is annoying at best and failure-causing at worst. It’s a bug and it needs to be fixed.

What Pokemon Can Be Ditto Right Now

Over the past several days, a lot of rumors have been going around about a new shiny Pokemon being added to Pokemon GO. This article will discuss the theories regarding this shiny and if it is in fact true or not.

In order for a pokemon to be Ditto, they must not only look like the pokemon they are turning into, but also have the same base stats as them. This means that if a Ditto wants to transform into Lickitung, it must have the exact same total base stats as Lickitung does.

So far in Pokemon GO no pokemon can actually be ditto right now since all of their base stats are different. The closest we have found so far to a Ditto would be the forme change Pokemon such as Shaymin and Giratina, but even then their base stats vary pretty heavily.
