How To Evolve Eevee Into All Forms In Pokémon Go

It seems that naming Eevee is not the only way to determine its evolution. There is actually another way to evolve Eevee into Espeon and Umbreon, which well detail below:

  • First, your Eevee must have 10KMs walked and 2 Candy collected as your Buddy
  • The Eevee must be set as you Buddy during Evolution
  • Evolve Eevee at Night to get Umbreon
  • Evolve Eevee during the Day to get Espeon

What You Need To Do When Evolving Sylveon

The method is a bit easy, but it may take you a bit of time. Much like the other evolutions, you need to raise your Eevees Friendship at the appropriate amount. The catch is that the Eevee needs to have a Fairy-type move learned so that it evolves into Sylveon the next time it levels up with the right amount of Friendship.

The good thing is that Eevee from Generation VI onwards has a Fairy-type move called Baby-Doll Eyes when it reaches level 9. It can also learn another Fairy-type move at level 29 which is Charm. All you need to do is to have just one of those two, and when your Eevee has a high enough Friendship, it will evolve into Sylveon the next time it levels up.

If you have a Fairy-type move on your Eevee, then all you have to do is to just increase its Friendship. It will take priority over Espeon or Umbreon when your Eevee levels up with a high amount of Friendship. In Sword and Shield, you can actually catch a Sylveon in the Lake of Outrage during a Max Raid Battle. You have to be really lucky to encounter it, let alone catch it.

How To Evolve Into Espeon And Umbreon

The first time you want to get your hands on Espeon and Umbreon, you can use the name trick detailed above. Evolve an Eeevee called Tamao to get an Umbreon, or an Eevee named Sakura to evolve it into Espeon. After that, you’ll need to evolve them the old-fashioned way, by completing certain goals.

For Espeon and Umbreon, you can also evolve into them based on their in-game method of evolution in Pokemon Gold and Silver back on the Game Boy – based on the time of day. In order to do this, you’ll first need to build a relationship with your Eevee. Set them as your buddy Pokemon and walk with them as much as you can.

Once you’ve walked 10km with that Eevee as your buddy Pokemon, it’s ready to evolve into either Epseon or Umbreon. Just evolve in the day for Espeon and night for Umbreon – and this isn’t limited, you can do it as often as you like!

How To Level Up From 1 To 40

Pokemon Go Eevee

Leveling from 1-40 is fairly simple: Use Lucky Eggs, catch Pokémon, compete in raids, send gifts to friends and battle.

Basically anything you do in the game will reward you with XP, but there are some things that grant better XP than others, and for less effort.

Lucky Eggs

Popping a Lucky Egg can increase that XP, but save those for when you plan on doing a bunch of raids in a row, or when you plan on evolving a ton of Pokémon for the maximum use of your Lucky Eggs.

Lucky Eggs will grant double XP for 30 minutes and are sometimes given as rewards, but most of the time youll have to acquire them through the shop. It costs 80 PokéCoins for one and 500 PokéCoins for eight Lucky Eggs. In real world money, that equals about $5.00 for eight Lucky Eggs, since 550 PokéCoins costs $4.99 in the shop.

Using a Lucky Egg during a double XP event will grant you even more rewards. The XP bonus stacks, so instead of a 2X reward, players will get 4X the XP. Double XP events have been decreasing in number, but they are often implemented as part of a Pokémon spotlight or raid hour, so save your eggs for those weekly happenings.

Best Friends

Making friends is one of the best ways to earn XP in the game, although it isnt one of the fastest. The process takes 90 days of interactions with your friend to complete and involves sending each other gifts or participating in raids together.

Eevee To Umbreon Or Espeon

To evolve into Umbreon or Espeon, keep an Eevee as a buddy and walk this Eevee for 10km. Once youve reached 10km, your Eevee should show one of two silhouettes in its Evolve button. If it is daylight hours, you should see an Espeon. If it is nighttime hours, you should see an Umbreon. If you evolve your Eevee during the day, youll get an Espeon, if you evolve at night, youll get an Umbreon.

This process will work as many times as you like. You could potentially evolve hundreds of Eevee into Umbreon if youre willing to walk every one of them 10km and evolve in the daytime.

How To Walk With Your Buddy On The Map And Go On An Adventure In Pokmon Go

Pokemon Go How To Evolve Eevee into a Vaporeon Jolteon or Flareon

To earn hearts from your Buddy from certain activities – such as walking or battling together – they need to be visible on the map screen in ‘Adventure’ mode. They will then walk, fly or roll with you as you explore for a limited time.

To make them appear on the map screen, you have to make sure they are fully fed.

Feed your Buddy some Berries – three regular Berries will do – and their mood will increase, and you’ll be told they will have joined you on an Adventure.

They will join you on the map for around three hours, with a hunger gauge appearing around their icon next to the Trainer button in the bottom left corner.

Feel free to top that gauge up with Berries as you play, or just wait until it’s fully depleted before feeding them again.

Note if you switch between Buddies, their hunger meter will fully empty, so you’ll have to feed them again. While at this sounds frustrating, a benefit is you’ll be able to feed them again quicker if you switch back and forth, and earn some fast and easy Hearts.

Ivs Change When You Trade

Almost certainly to discourage cheaters, Pokémon traded in Go get a change to their IVs and stats. This prevents players from selling 100% IV Pokémon, while the limits on Trading prevent players from constantly rerolling for better IVs.

However, the higher your Friendship level, the higher potential IV you can get from a Trade. This, along with the reduced Stardust cost encourages Trading between actual friends.

A Note On Traded Pokemon Iv Rerolls And Level

The following rules apply when trading Pokemon:

  • the trading screen shows the range of CP and HP the Pokemon can have after trading.
  • the range adjusts based on your Friendship level and the level of players in the trading process
  • IVs can be rerolled randomly, anywhere from 0% to 100%, ensuring a fair trading system for everyone
  • moves while trading remain a mystery at this moment

How To Rename Eevee To Evolve Into Sylveon Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon

Controlling what your Eevee evolves into in Pokémon GO

Evolving Eevee using the required 25 Eevee candy will produce a random evolution. However, you can control which type it turns into by renaming the monster beforehand:

  • Rename “Kira” to evolve into Fairy-type Sylveon
  • Rename “Linnea” to evolve into Grass-type Leafeon
  • Rename “Rea” to evolve into Ice-type Glaceon
  • Rename “Sakura” to evolve into Psychic-type Espeon
  • Rename “Tamao” to evolve into Dark-type Umbreon
  • Rename “Rainer” to evolve into Water-type Vaporeon
  • Rename “Sparky” to evolve into Electric-type Jolteon
  • Rename “Pyro” to evolve into Fire-type Flareon

There are some caveats here. This only works one time per evolution, so if you plan to use your Eeveelution in battle, make sure you’ve chosen an Eevee with favourable stats. The naming trick is currently the only guaranteed way to evolve Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon – once you’ve done it once, it’ll be up to random chance if you get another, regardless of what you’ve named it.

There are tricks to reliably evolving the other Eevee varieties more than once, though…

Finding: Know Your Nests

Most Pokémon have nests, or consistent places where one to four of the same Pokémon will regularly spawn, sometimes even hourly. Sadly, very rare Pokémon like Tyranitar, Dragonite, and Hydreigondont have any known nests, but others like Electabuzz, Rhyhorn, and all of the Starter Pokémon do.

Nests currently migrate every two weeks. These migrations occur at 12 AM UTS every other Thursday. Thats good, because it gives you a couple of weeks to stock up on any good Pokémon at your local nests, but also changes things up fairly quickly if you get stuck with a bad nest. So, over a few months, your Charmander nest might become Slowpoke, Charmander again, Marill, Drowzee, Yanma, Growlithe, and so on. Nest migrations are seemingly random, though, so you never really know what youll get.

Also, Water type spawns arent nests because they dont migrate and have multiple Water type Pokémon that spawn together. For example, Staryu, Remoraid, Magikarp, and Wailmer often all spawn at ports, beaches, and lakes.

The same goes for a few others, like electric spawns. Find a big electric center at a university or other large structure, and dont be surprised if you find Magnemite and Voltorb aplenty along with it.

Youll need to earn 70 hearts for it to evolve into Sylveon, howeverso while this process is straightforward, its also a bit time-consuming. How Do You Beat Snorlax In Pokmon Go Rhydon

How to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon ANY TIME – Pokémon GO [Android 720p]

Snorlax isnt the absolute wall Blissey is but with higher potential CP, its still found in many Gyms. Its also been around since Gen 1, which means more people have more Snorlax at higher power. Its also got no double weaknesses, just a single weakness against fighter-types. All of that combines to make Snorlax not only tough to beat but time-intensive.

  • Best counter: Machamp with counter and dynamic punch, of course.

  • Other options: Not surprisingly, other Machamps and Heracross with double fighting-type moves. Dragonite and Tyranitar can power their way through as well. Personally, I also like Rhydon. Its common enough and has high enough stats and damage that it can go toe-to-toe and, as long as you dodge charge moves, come out on top. And it saves the fighter types for Blissey.

Pokemon Go Type Chart: Strength Weakness And Effectiveness For All Types

Pokemon Types are the core of battles in Pokemon Go just as in the rest of the series and to succeed, youll need to understand Pokemon type strengths, weaknesses and effectiveness.

As hardcore Pokemon fans will already know quite well, each Pokemon has one or two types, and types determine much about how that Pokemon battles. For the Pokemon Trainer, type is important because certain types are strong against others, meaning you can deal or take additional damage, or on the other hand lessen the amount of damage received.

Theres 18 different types, and each type is either strong, weak or neutral versus other types. At the most basic level with the starter Pokemon this breaks down to Rock, Paper, Scissors Charmander beats Bulbasaur who beats Squirtle which comes full circle by beating Fire.

That all makes sense and is nice and easy though things get more complicated when you start introducing more obtuse Pokemon Types types like Fairy or Dragon, or when you consider Pokemon with multiple types. Then you have to consider that moves have types so a fire-type Pokemon like Charizard can easily come stacked with Dragon and Flying-type moves, meaning its damage output on the type chart is attached to those types rather than its raw type.
