Pokemon Go: The Best Dragonite

Aggron Raid Tips & Best Counters – Pokémon Go Strategy Guide

Dragon-types are widely considered the best and most viable Pokemon, generally speaking. Of course, the only type theyre good against is other Dragon-types, but with the sheer number of Dragon-type Legendaries, thats more than enough for them to be useful. Dragon-types are typically considered great generalists, having use against a wide variety of matchups since they arent resisted by much, and the strongest dragons have high DPS and Attack stats.

The top spot amongst Dragon-types is changing all of the time, in part because new Dragon-type Legendaries are introduced all the time, but also because they frequently receive new moves, Shadow forms, and Mega Evolutions. Currently, the top spot in many respects belongs to Shadow Dragonite, though Shadow Salamence isnt far behind it. With a massive Attack stat and decent bulk, Shadow Dnite can achieve DPS and TDO stats of 22.87 and 1,081.28, respectively. Itll hit hard and stay standing for a long time.

Best Aggron Moveset In Pokmon Go

Because Aggron is a dual-type Pokémon, there are twice as many moves it can learn. You can choose between Rock and Steel-type moves to teach it. Choosing the right pair of moves is a complicated task which we have simplified for you.

Here are the three best moves you can pick from to maximize your Aggrons potential:

What About Types In Pokmon Go

It’s also important to keep in mind types! While some Pokémon only have one type, most have two and all Pokémon can learn moves from multiple types. Although most Pokémon have a single moveset that is the best for their whole species, there are some Pokémon who have multiple sets. Take Chandelure, for example Chandelure is a Fire and Ghost type and can be one of the best of either. If you’re using your Chandelure as a Fire type, you’ll want it to know Fire Spin and Overheat, but if you’re going for Ghost type, you’ll want Hex and Shadow Ball.

Pokemon Go: Best Fighting

Best Moveset For Aggron

Fighting is currently one of the best types in the game. It’s dominated by Pokemon that hit fast and hard, and it serves as the weakness to many strong Pokemon, including Dark- and Steel-types, as well as the ever-popular Normal-type gym defenders like Blissey and Slaking. It looks like Fighting will remain a dominant time for the foreseeable future, as well, unless there’s some extreme meta shift, which is unlikely.

The best Fighting-type is probably no surprise: Shadow Machamp. This Gen I punchy friend has long been considered one of the best Fighting-types in series history, and its Shadow boost just makes it even better. With access to some of the best Fighting-type moves, as well as Rock Slide for coverage against Flying-types, Sh. Machamp isn’t going down without a fight. Even without the Shadow boost, regular Machamp sits at the top too, just slightly behind some newer introduced Pokemon like Lucario, Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny. But, it’s fast, has decent bulk, and hits hard, so it’s still a terrific option, especially given how abundantly common Machop is.

The first of many Fighting-type Mega Evolutions to see release in GO is Mega Lopunny. It’ll likely lose some places in the ranking when others like M-Lucario and Mega Mewtwo X are released, but for now, Mega Lop is a sure bet. With a max Attack stat of 282, it’s definitely a Pokemon worth adding to your team, even if it won’t be one the best for long.

Hello again, friends! It’s that PvP article guy again, back to take a look at the new crop of Shadow Pokemon arriving in the game and what their impact will be on PvP. And I have the entire Love Cup meta to dive into after this article is wrapped, so let’s not waste any more time and just get right to it, shall we?

Pokemon Go: Best Grass

Grass is not typically considered an offensive type. Like Poison, it makes use of other strategies instead of pure damage output, like sleep and paralysis conditions, health-sapping moves, and more. However, Grass-type attackers see a lot of use against the all-too-common Rock/Ground combo, as well as being one of Water’s only two weaknesses. In the battle of Rock, Ground, and Water, Grass is good against all of them. Additionally, Grass is often paired with a secondary typing that allows it some more utility, depending on the context.

Venusaur is already a bulk monster, but that’s increased heavily by its Mega Evolution. Mega Venusaur sports an absolutely unbelievable max stat spread of 241 in Attack, 246 in Defense, and 190 in Stamina. This Grass/Poison-type is going to be standing for a long, long time, giving it massive TDO of ~1,005 points. The Grass-type move given to all Grass starters on Community Day, Frenzy Plant, is an extremely attractive factor. It’s easily one of the best moves in the game, and paired with the fast energy generation of Vine Whip, Mega Venusaur is a force to be reckoned with. It will one day be outclassed by Mega Sceptile, but for now, this bulky plant dino is here to soak up damage and deal it back out with ease.

Following Mega Venusaur is some other Grass-types with good bulk and decent TDO.

How To Get Xerneas In Pokemon Go

Getting Xerneas in Pokemon Go requires a bit of luck. Players will have to be on the lookout for a special egg that will appear in a nearby gym. Then you will have to take care of it and be present when it hatches. Following this, players will get a set amount of tries to beat the Pokemon. To enter the fight with a Legendary Pokemon, you need to be possessing a Raid Pass. Raid Passes can be earned by spinning Pokestops at gyms. This is the only way to catch any Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Go.

Zekrom: Charge Beam & Outrage

AGGRON ULTRA LEAGUE BEST TEAM | Pokemon GO Battle League Quick Video

The second dragon, Zekrom, is the sparky sibling to Reshiram. It has more weaknesses, but more resistances, and can fit into different team compositions well. It’s a solid defensive Pokémon with its moveset serving well to defend gyms.

Charge Beam is a wicked-fast quick attack that appropriately charges attacks at a fast rate. Wild Charge is an incredible offensive option, utilizing a high base power despite being not as energy efficient. However, the best all-around option is Outrage, mostly due to its raw DPS and added type-coverage.

Reshiram: Fire Fang & Draco Meteor

The first of the three legendary dragons, Reshiram has its fans and offers some serious heat in battle. Similar to Hydreigon, many of its movesets are equally viable and its typing makes it hard to kill. Its best moveset uses both of its two types for maximum efficiency.

Fire Fang is better than Dragon Breath in all situations, with higher DPS and energy generation. Four possible Charged Attacks gives Reshiram a few different options, but the best of the bunch is clearly Draco Meteor. The move may be slow and take a long time to charge, but Fire Fang helps in quickly getting out as many Earth-shattering meteors as possible.

Is Shadow Aggron Good In Pokmon Go

Is it worth your time?

There are several shadow Pokémon you can capture in Pokémon Go. If you want to capture them, you need to encounter the Team Rocket grunts that have taken over Poké Stops, or fight them when they appear in their Team Rocket balloon. Each grunt you battle will have a distinct type of Pokémon in their roster, and by defeating that grunt, you earn one of their shadow Pokémon, allowing you to keep it. The big appeal to shadow Pokémon is their attack stats increase, but their defenses decrease. One of the Pokémon you capture is Aron, and it evolves into a shadow Aggron. Is the shadow version of Aggron better than the regular, and is it worth your time?

Aggron is a Steel and Rock-type Pokémon. Its weak to Fighting, Ground, and Water-type moves, but its resistant to Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Flying, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, and Rock-type moves. For PvP, it has a maximum CP of 3,000, an attack of 168, an attack of 214, and a stamina of 147. For PvE, it has an attack of 198, a defense of 257, and a stamina of 172. For shadow Aggron, in PvP, its attack increases to 202, and its defense goes down to 179.

When youre not battling it out against trainers in the Master League, you can take it on raids. Itll be able to do some good damage to a variety of five-star raids, and because of its array of weaknesses, you can expect it to withstand plenty of legendary Pokémon.

Pokemon Go: The Best Dark

When you’re going up against Psychic-type raids, like Mewtwo, Cresselia, or the Lake Guardians, Dark-types will often fill out your roster for some of the best counters. Dark also serves as a fantastic check on Ghost-types, since Ghost’s only other weakness is itself, meaning it’ll counter… your counters… so Dark is probably best in a vacuum. Unfortunately, Ghost-types have some better moves available, so when choosing Dark or Ghost for a raid against a Psychic-type, it will really depend on the context.

Mega Houndoom is a fantastic choice. Its secondary Fire-typing gives it some utility against Steel-types, as well as one of Dark’s weaknesses, Bug . It’s fairly future-proof, too, with only Mega Absol, Mega Tyranitar, and Hoopa Unbound posing any imminent threats to its throne. Even then, it’ll outclass M-Absol in damage output overall and M-Tyra in pure DPS.

Tyranitar, once the absolute ruler of the Dark- and Rock-type categories, did fall from grace slightly with the introduction of some later Pokemon. But, it still stands up, just a bit lower on the podium. Luckily, it’s available in its Shadow version, giving it a boost to put it on par with the best Dark-types of recent years. It’ll often serve better as a Rock-type attacker, but given the exclusivity of Smack Down as a Community Day move, you might opt to use Tyra as a Dark-type move user.

Pokemon Go: Best Rock

Rock is home to some Pokemon that hit hard, making them great as generalists, as well as uber-powerful against the handful of Flying-type Legendaries with a weakness to Rock, like Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Lugia, Ho-oh, Yveltal, the Forces of Nature, and more. At lower tiers, they’ll also do a great job against Mega Raids like both Mega Charizard forms, and against common gym defenders like Dragonite and Salamence.

Once considered the greatest Rock-type attacker, Tyranitar lost its Rock-type throne to Rampardos in the same way it lost its Dark-type throne to Mega Houndoom and some others. But, its Shadow form places it back on top, so long as it has Smack Down, which can be a harsh barrier, given its exclusivity. You’ll also want to watch out for those all-too-common Fighting-types, which have plagued Tyranitar as a double weakness since its introduction in Gen II of the main series. The addition of Fairy-types hasn’t helped, either.

For a more obtainable attacker that doesn’t need some Elite TMs to be a viable Rock-type attacker, look to the Gen IV Fossil Pokemon, Rampardos. This hard-hitting dinosaur is what knocked Tyranitar off its throne, easily ranking #1 in DPS, even ahead of Shadow Tyranitar and Legendary Terrakion. However, Rampardos plummets down the list in terms of TDO, sitting behind even Pokemon that aren’t mentioned in this section. It’ll hit really hard, but only a few times before going down to one of Rock’s many weaknesses.

Salamence: Dragon Tail & Draco Meteor

It should be noted that Draco Meteor is an Elite TM, so if a user has one, this is the Pokémon to use it on. What sets Salamence apart from its similar counterparts is more than just its moveset.

Salamence has an impressive max CP of 3,749 and has an attack of 277. Although only minimally higher than Dragonite, that extra attack can make all the difference in a challenging PVP or raid.

Latios: Dragon Breath & Psychic

Best moveset for Aggron Pokemon Go

While there are a considerable amount of dragon-type legendary Pokémon, very few seem to be as powerful as they could be. What separates Latios from its counterpart is its main attack.

It’s undeniable that psychic attacks are particularly powerful, and with a DPS of 38.6, Psychic can put a spin on the battle that goes wonderfully in the player’s favor. Dragon Breath does a DPS of 14.4, which isn’t the best but its energy per second allows for Psychic to be used more often.

Should I Max Cp Before Evolving

For us, you should never max out a base Pokémons CP because you are still not sure which skills it will develop once it evolves. If you do this, you may end up wasting a lot of Candies for a Pokémon that you wont be using due to its terrible abilities.

We recommend that you evolve the base Pokémon first and then decide if you want to max out its stats.

We hope that this guide helped you figure out which moveset for Altaria is the best for you. If you need to clarify something or have other concerns, dont hesitate to leave a comment below, and well do our best to answer them.

Flygon: Dragon Tail & Earthquake

Although not a dragon-type move, Earthquake is worth getting when it comes to Flygon. Both its main and quick attacks can do some wonderful damage and make this Pokémon one worth getting.

Firstly, its attack is 205, miles ahead of Giratina. Secondly, Flygon’s main attack has a DPS of 46.5, which is readied perfectly and quickly by Dragon tail that does 16.4. Altogether, these complement each other perfectly, without the need of a same type attack bonus.
