Gamestop Pokemon Card Giveaway Starts This Friday

Gamestop Just Released The Best Premium Pokemon Cards

GameStop will be giving out another promotional Pokemon card this week. PokeBeach is reporting that the popular game retail chain will be handing out promo cards featuring Sandaconda starting on Friday. The card is free whenever customers purchase a minimum of $15 of Pokemon Trading Card Game merchandise. PokeBeach didn’t have any other details about the card, but they speculated that it’s likely a holofoil card featuring a stamped GameStop logo similar to the Flapple card given a few months ago.

The promo card is timed to come out with the release of the new “Chilling Reign” expansion, which also launches on Friday. That expansion is inspired by the Crown Tundra DLC of Pokemon Sword and Shield and will feature cards based on the various forms of Calyrex, along with the Galarian variants of the Legendary Birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. The expansion also continues the new Battle Styles mechanic that adds a level of card synergy by building a deck around one of two different “battle styles.”

Can You Buy Pokemon Cards From Gamestop Online

What Company Stocks Pokemon Cards At Gamestop

Gamestop Pokemon Cards

GameStop deals with the restocking of the Pokemon cards themselves. This means that, unlike other big stores, there is no external party that is coming in to restock the cards. Everything is going to come from their central warehouse. This is part of the reason why it is so tough to predict when the actual restock days are.

In terms of who supplies the GameStop warehouse, this is another tricky question to answer. It does seem as if the company has several different larger wholesalers of Pokemon cards providing them with stock.

Check For Valuable Characteristics

Not all cards with the rare symbol are equally rare, with some rare cards being rarer than others.

Other characteristics of a card such as whether its a holofoil or non-holofoil card or if its a card with special abilities, can make it rarer and more valuable.

An easy way to find valuable Pokémon cards is to look for holo cards.

Sometimes these are called:

There are a few different types of Holo Pokémon cards:

  • Holo: The Pokémon image is holofoil
  • Reverse Holo: The frame around is holofoil, but the Pokémon image itself is not.
  • Full Art Holo: The entire card is covered in holofoil graphics.

Organize The Cards By Sets

A good way to organize your cards is by sets. You can identify a set by a small symbol. On old sets, this symbol will appear in the bottom right corner of the Pokémon illustration.

On new sets, this symbol will appear on the bottom right corner of the whole card.

Read this list of Pokémon card symbols to check which sets your cards belong to.

Please note that Base card sets, which were one of the first three sets to be released in the USA, dont have a symbol on the card.

Promotional Pokémon: Trading Card Game cards seem to be all the rage at the moment. Whether it’s McDonalds or General Mills, everywhere is seemingly wanting to throw Pokémon cards at you. Now, GameStop has joined in, and is offering an exclusive card to its customers.

What Is The GameStop Promotional Pokémon Card?

    The GameStop Promotional Flapple

    The Pokémon Company/GameStop/PokeBeach

It’s Flapple! Ostensibly the same as the Flapple card from Sword & Shield: Rebel Clash, this version has a few key differences that make it worth picking up.

First, it has its a different style of foiling from the original Flapple, using the galaxy style that can be identified by the swirls and circles embedded in the foil. Secondly, it is also stamped with the GameStop logo. It’s not great looking, just like it’s been slapped on there. But it does make it a unique card.

How Do I Get the GameStop Flapple?

To get Flapple, you’ll need to act pretty quickly, as each GameStop store has a limited supply of them to give out. According to PokeBeach, to qualify for the Flapple you’ll need to spend at least $15 on other Pokémon TCG products. That’s not too difficult, just grab a few Battle Styles or Vivid Voltage Booster Packs, or maybe a Mini Tin and you’ll hit the minimum purchase. Of course, that’s assuming your store even has Pokémon TCG stock at the moment.

Gamestop To Distribute Jumbo Snorlax Vmax Pokmon Tcg Promo

Add these goodies to the collection.

Pokémon TCG collectors will have a chance to score a unique jumbo VMAX card thanks to a GameStop promotion to celebrate the release of Octobers set Celebrations.

First reported by PokeBeach, the promotion that kicks off on Oct. 8 will see GameStop supply a Jumbo VMAX Snorlax card and a binder, both of which are branded with the Sword & Shield stamp.

According to the report, there will be limited stock of both items, but the binders will have fewer between the two. To earn these rewards, youll need to purchase any Pokémon item. Given the release coinciding with the launch of Pokémon TCG Celebrations, you may want to score some new cards because these are in high demand and you may struggle to find them in-store.

These rewards were previously distributed in May, although that distribution was exclusive to GameStops website and required customers to spend at least $25.

Does Gamestop Have Limits On The Number Of Pokemon Cards That You Can Buy

No. There are no limits from GameStop on the number of Pokemon card products that you can purchase from them. We cannot promise that they are not going to introduce limits later on. However, for now, there will be no limits and it is unlikely that there will be for the foreseeable future, even if there is another big run on Pokemon cards.

Did Gamestop Stop Selling Pokemon Cards

There have been times where GameStop has stopped selling Pokemon cards. As you may well know, GameStop has had several financial issues over the years. This means that, at times, they have not had any stock of Pokemon cards. This is because, once again, GameStop does not place a huge focus on Pokemon cards.

Other than this, the only times that they have really stopped selling Pokemon cards was when there was a shortage of Pokemon cards nationwide. GameStop simply did not have the stock that it could distribute to its stores. Although, this does appear to be an issue that has cleared up. Although, there is no telling whether this is something that is going to happen again in the future.
