How Raid Passes And Raid Rewards Work In Pokmon Go

Players can receive one free Raid Pass per day from spinning the Gym’s photo disc . You can ‘bank’ one of these free Passes if you don’t use it until the next day to hold a maximum of two at one time.

If you want to Raid more than that in a single day, then Premium Raid Passes or Remote Raid Passes must be purchased from the in-game shop for 100 PokeCoins each, or at a discount as part of a bundle.

As of January 2020, Premium Raid Passes also allow you to gain entry to the Go Battle League, which also provides premium rewards.

As well as these, there are also EX Raid Passes, which are rewarded to players who complete a standard Raid at the same gym an EX Raid will appear at soon after. These allow access to an EX Raid, which have even more elusive creatures to face off against, such as Mewtwo and Gen 3’s Deoxys.

Pokemon Go How To Get A Raid Pass

In order to access the Raid matches, coaches must first reach level 10. After having done the above, you will need to meet another requirement: the Raid Pass, which is essential to unlock this type of match. You can get one simply by going to a Gym and rotating its icon. In this way, however, you won’t have more than one Raid Pass in your inventory at a time, but you can always buy more at a cost of 100 PokeCoins each.

Minimum Number Of Trainers To Win Raids

Is it possible for a single trainer to win a 3-star raid? I’ve tried and it appears that a single trainer can’t inflict enough damage within the time limit, but maybe I’m not doing it right.

What’s the minimum number of trainers that could win a 5-star or mega raid?

Short Answer: Yes, a single trainer can win a 3-star raid but they need to have decently strong Pokemon. 5-star and mega raids typically require at least 3 very strong trainers, although certain Pokemon that are double-weak to a single type can be defeated with only 2 very strong trainers.

Long Answer: This is a difficult question to answer because it very much depends on trainer and Pokemon levels, types, and moves. 1-star raids are easy to beat once a trainer gets Pokemon above level 15. 3-star raids can be beaten by a single trainer if their Pokemon have types and moves that take advantage of a raid’s weaknesses and are at least level 30. With the increase of Pokemon levels up to 50, it should become relatively easy for a single trainer to beat a 3-star raid as long as they can power up a couple Pokemon to the max level, but the stardust and candy requirement will prevent most trainers from doing that for a while.

  • Use Pokemon with advantageous types and moves.
  • Use Pokemon with better IV stats.

    Pokemon GO

Pokemon Go raids are found exclusively at gyms, which are the much taller Pokestops you’ll see in towns and cities. No matter which team has control of a gym, anyone can partake in a raid when it appears, indicated by a coloured egg on top. This will be accompanied by a timer, counting down from one hour, so Pokemon Go communities have enough preparation time to get players together to take it down.

Tapping on the egg icon in the corner, while looking at the gym, will reveal how difficult it is. The amount of monster faces above the egg represents the level of the gym, as does the colour. Level one raids will always be pink, level three raids are yellow, while level five raids are purple with white stripes.

To do the Pokemon Go raid, you simply have to be at the respective gym within the 45 minutes after the egg hatches. As long as you have a Raid Pass – which is given out for free once per day at your first Gym PokeStop spin of the day – you can have a shot at taking down the raid boss. If you want to do more than one raid per day, you can pick up Premium Raid Passes from the in-game store for 100 coins apiece.

Raid Battles Are All The Rage Right Now But You Have To Be A Specific Minimum Level To Participate

    Published June 22, 2017, 10:04 p.m.aboutPokemon Go

    by Bryan Dawson

The recent Pokemon Go raids have been added with the recent update. These Pokemon Go Raid Battles offer some nice rewards, but theres a raid level requirement to participate. A lot of people have been asking what level do you have to be to raid in Pokemon Go or what is a Raid Battle in Pokemon Go. This article covers what level you have to be for Raid Battles in Pokemon Go, as well as the basics of gym raids including how to get a raid pass in Pokemon Go. The Pokemon Go raid level requirement and the raid pass makes sure that new players dont instantly jump into raids, and instead learn the ins and outs of the game before taking on the more challenges aspects. However, everyone whos been playing for awhile should be high enough level to participate in these Pokemon Go raids after picking up a raid pass.

What Are Raid Battles Raid Tiers And How Do Raids Work

Raids see trainers team up with other nearby players to take down “extremely powerful Pokémon” known as Raid Bosses under a time limit. These can have a massive amount of CP, up to 10 times as powerful as regular creatures, requiring a group to stand a chance of winning.

Some Raid encounters will be easier than others. Each one is graded from one to five – one could be a Magikarp, four has you face off against many of the best Pokémon such as Tyranitar and Snorlax, and five takes you up against a Legendary.

Each Raid Boss fits into one of four tiers, one being the easiest and five the most challenging, with each tier being distinguished by egg colour. This also includes Mega Raids, which allow you to battle the Mega Evolutions of certain Pokémon and will reward you with Mega Energy.

Originally there were five raid tiers in Pokémon Go, but, with the introduction of Mega Evolution and Mega Raids, both the two-star and four-star raids were removed. Without effecting the difficulty, the rewards for two-star raids were merged with one-star raids and the same with four-star to three-star.

Once you have completed the Raid, you can then catch the creature using Premier Balls. You only have a certain amount, so make every throw count!

Plus, there are invite-only Raids, named EX Raids, which see another type of very exclusive creature spawn. There are a number of hidden mechanics behind joining one, so visit the link to read more about it.

Pokmon Go Level 45 Tasks And Rewards

In order to reach Level 45 in Pokémon GO, you will have to defeat GO rocket grunts, purify Shadow Pokémon, defeat GO Rocket Leaders and earn Platinum Medals.

Defeat 100 Team GO Rocket Grunts

Make sure to battle every Grunt balloon you see and every PokéStop takeover for this one. Also, be sure to catch and purify each Shadow Pokémon you save before transferring as this will help with the next step.

    Purify 100 Shadow Pokémon

A fairly boring and tedious task, but if you heed my advice from the Defeat 100 Team GO Rocket grunts task, you should complete this one at the same time. Keep at it, you will get there eventually.

Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 50 times

Unfortunately, there isnt any quick way to get through this challenge. If you battle each of your GO Rocket Grunt Balloons every day, you can aim to defeat 2-3 Rocket Leaders per week.

However, battling random Grunts at PokéStop takeovers will speed this up. Keep battling, grabbing those mysterious components and hopefully within a few weeks you can tick this one off the list.

    Earn 10 Platinum Medals

As crazy as it sounds, this is probably one of the easier requirements for this level. If you have been playing the game for a while then you may notice that some of your gold medals are sparkling. This means that youve earned the Platinum Medal for that particular challenge. Keep playing, focus on a particular Medal and storm through it.

    Pokemon Go Raid Times

SOLOING LEVEL 3 RAID MACHAMP | POKEMON GO FEST & SAFARI ZONE GLOBAL REWARDS

Generally speaking, Pokemon Go raid times are completely random. There’s no way of knowing when an egg will appear above a specific gym, nor what Pokemon will hatch, but there are a couple of guidelines.

Pokemon Go raid eggs will only spawn between 5:30am and 7:45pm local time. This means the time raid bosses will be available is 6:30am to 9:30pm, once an egg has hatched. This is because Niantic doesn’t want players roaming the streets in the middle of the night, for obvious reasons. You can however join remote raids in different timezones, provided you have a friend that can invite you and you have a Remote Raid Pass.

Every Wednesday, from 6pm to 7pm local time, will be Raid Hour. This is when most, if not all, gyms in the vicinity will spawn level five raids with whichever legendary Pokemon is in eggs at the time. This changes frequently, so make sure you check the in-game news section for details on the latest legendary raid boss switch.

Pokemon Go Players Are Beating Level 3 Raids Solo

When Pokemon Go raids first came out earlier this month, players noticed that there seemed to be two tiers of difficulty. The Level 1 and Level 2 raids, denoted by a pink Raid Egg, could be easily defeated by players on their own. However, Level 3 and Level 4 raids proved to be much more challenging, even for high level players.

Now that the initial hype surrounding raids have died down, players are starting to feel out the limits of the new raid bosses. And with the right Pokemon and strategy, those Level 3 Raid bosses aren’t quite as impossible to beat solo as previously thought.

A general consensus has emerged on Reddit that five of the seven Level 3 Raid bosses can be beaten with just one player. Although several of the solo Raids will use up almost all of a raid’s 180 seconds, it seems that a team of Level 30 Pokemon has enough firepower to beat a Raid Boss.

Keep in mind that if you want to take down a Raid Boss, you’ll need to have your Pokemon fully leveled up and armed with the “right” attacks. Only powerful Charge moves will really do a dent against Raid Bosses, so if you have a Pokemon with a weak Charge move, you’ll probably not have much success against these Raid Bosses.

Here’s a look at which Raid Bosses can and can’t be beat on their own:

    Pokemon Go Raid Rewards

Completing the raid successfully will reward all the players with exclusive items, as well as XP. The rewards you receive depend on the time taken to defeat the Raid Boss, the damage you deal, and the raid level. Higher the raid level, greater are the rewards you receive. However, if you lose, you will still get some amount of Stardust. Blow are the list of items which you can receive from Raids:

    Premier Balls:

Premier Balls are given to players after a successful Raid. These balls can only be used to capture the Raid Boss, and cannot be restocked. So, if you run out of Premier balls, the Raid Boss will flee. factors which contribute towards the number of balls you get are: Damage dealt, Teams Performance, Gym control, Friend bonus and the Gym level.

    Rare Candies:

Rare Candies are special candies, which when used on a Pokemon, turn into that Pokemons candies. The drop rate of rare candies is not fixed; however, the higher is the raid tier, the more candies you get.

    TMs:

The TMs or Technical machines you receive from Raids are of two types: Charged and Fast. Charged TM is used to change the charged move of a Pokemon; while the Fast TM changed the fast move of a Pokemon.

    Revives:

You can receive either normal Revives, Max Revives, or both. Revives are used to revive fainted Pokemon after battles. The drop rate of Revives is not fixed.

In order to bring home victory, you’ll need to assemble your Pokemon team based on the weaknesses of the Boss you’re facing in the Raid. There’s no reason to take any unnecessary Pokemon with you in this regard. You also prefer the Pokemon that have the strongest loaded attacks, as these are the attacks that you will use the most against the Bosses. The Bosses that you will meet during the Raids will usually have a value of CP almost ten times higher than the normal Pokemon Raid Bosses. For this reason, defeating a Boss could take a lot of time.

Remember to dodge! As soon as you see a flash, slide to one side or another to avoid the Boss’ attacks. Raid Passes can be earned by fighting in a gym, and you can only hold one Raid Pass at a time. Once used, a Raid Pass will give you access to a Raid for the time it takes place.

    What Is A Raid

Raids are special events held at gyms. Theyre indicated by either a giant egg or a Pokémon hovering over the gym with a timer. Once the timer ticks down above the egg, it will hatch, revealing the raid boss. Similarly, once the timer above the Pokémon ticks down, the raid will end.

Raids are tiered by mask-looking emblems, with tier one being the lowest and five being the highest. Tier five raids always have Legendary Pokémon, like Giratina or Rayquaza. The Legendary Pokémon that appear in raids changes frequently. The rest of the raid tiers change sporadically, typically with themed events.

Raid Invitations And Remote Raids In Pokmon Go

As the global pandemic slowed Pokémon Go play and Raids in particular during the early part of 2020, Niantic began to implement new features to make Raids more accessible. Now Trainers can purchase Remote Raid Passes, which allow them to take part in Raids that aren’t within range for a normal Raid Pass. These Remote Raid Passes will let you join in any Raid you can see on the screen. Additionally, Remote Raid Passes allow you to join into any Raid a Friend invites you to. Raid Invitations were added shortly after Remote Raid Passes, allowing Trainers to invite up to five of their Friends to join in a Raid from anywhere in the world.
