Just about to do some mega evolutions for fun after raiding countless times but I just wondered, which of the two mega evolutions are better ?
Y provides more CP but in Pokemon lets go, X is hailed as being better.
Does the same apply on here too ?
Y is best non shadow fire attacker, X will be nice pick with double Dragon moveset . But still, using them now isnt really necessary…
Once X gets dragon breath it might be better. Right now it gets ripped apart by Dragonite. Suddenly taking Neutral damage to water is interesting though.
With shields though, Y just looks soooo good.
Mega Charizard Y Is the Better option for raw attack Mega Charizard X stats are lower due to how its stats translate from the main series to pogo.
Charizard Y is a better attacker and top fire type one.
However, Charizard X looks cooler ….
I disagree I know hot blue fire is cool and its much more hotter but in PVP it sucks because its weak to rock although its the same going for Charizard Y but its just normal for the color to not change and it has horns at the head for 3 Charizard X doesn’t so that proves that its not cooler its much more better,
Y has a higher Attack stat and like 1 defense less than X. The Stamina stat are the same.
X as a Dragon Attacker could work, to some extent. Its move choice of Dragonbreath and Dragon Claw could be a hit or miss depending on the person.

Charizard makes its first appearance as a playable character. It is part of the Pokémon Trainer‘s rotation along with Squirtle and Ivysaur. If Ivysaur gets low on stamina, they can switch it out for Charizard. If Charizard gets low on stamina, the player can switch it out for Squirtle. DPS-wise, Mega Blaziken will surpass Mega Charizard Y marginally owing to its 329 ATK stat.;

This is very convenient in raid battles as Mega Charizard Y can last for a longer time, keeping the mega evolution power boost running for more time and sport nearly the same DPS as Mega Blaziken. Plus, Mega Charizard Ys typing grants it lesser weaknesses and more resistances. At the end of the day when the sun goes down, Mega Charizard Y will still remain the more viable Fire type mega evolution.;
Mega Charizard X, on the other hand, cannot occupy a competitive position either as a Fire or a Dragon type.
As a Dragon type, Megas Rayquaza, Garchomp and Salamence will crush Mega Charizard X due to superior stats and better moveset.
