If you have either Pokémon: Lets Go game, you can get Meltan much faster. Once you get to Fuchsia City in the game, youll notice that the old Safari Zone has been replaced completely with the Go Park. The Go Park allows you to transfer Pokémon from PokémonGo to Lets Go.
If you transfer any Pokémon, youll be rewarded with a Mystery Box. Activate the Mystery Box in Go and Meltan will begin to spawn around you for 30 minutes, similarly to how Incense works. You can repeat this every seven days for a new Mystery Box and for more Meltan. With Pinap Berries, youll have enough candy to evolve your Meltan in no time.
Link Your Account To Pokemon Home
Follow these steps to link your Pokemon Go account to Pokemon Go Home:
- In Pokemon Go, open Settings.
- Scroll down until you see Pokemon HOME and tap on it.
- Under Nintendo Account, tap on Sign in. If you do not have one, you first have to create an account. To do so, you can visit the official Nintendo website.
- A pop-up message appears asking for permission to sign in. Tap on Continue.
- Enter the credentials to sign in. In order to integrate with the mainline games, be sure to sign in with the one that you use on your Switch.
- Now tap on Ok.Your account is linked, and you will be redirected back to Pokemon Go.
Can I Get Meltan Or Melmetal Without Pokmon Go
Yes and no. While Pokémon GO is required to catch Meltan, you yourself don’t have to play a single bit. That means you can court some family or friends to help you out by trading whatever they catch and evolve to your Pokémon: Let’s Go game.
Of course, you’ll want to do it all yourself if you can, especially if you’re hoping to get a shiny version of Meltan or even just get one with improved stats. Better to have your own equipment and to do it on your own time than having to rely on others, we say!

How To Capture Meltan In Pokmon Go
The inclusion of a new Meltan Research quest, which was introduced on the games release date of November 16th, was a welcome addition.
Professor Willow, in a similar vein to Mew, Celebi, and Spiritomb earlier in the year, will ask you to undertake some of the most difficult research to date requiring you to capture specific creatures over a nine-step period in order to capture Meltan .
Open The Mystery Box In Pokemon Go
Now that you have transferred a Pokemon to HOME, a Mystery Box will already be available for your Pokemon Go account. Follow these steps in order to start catching Meltan.
- In Pokemon Go, open your Item bag.
- Scroll down and you will see a new Black box among your items. This is the Mystery Box.
- Tap on the Mystery Box. You will see Days remaining to access: 0 days. This means your Mystery Box is charged and ready to use.
- The Mystery Box opens, and you will see Meltan starting to spawn around you for 1 hour. The average rate of spawns is 1 in every 1.5 minutes.
Note: Once the timer of the Mystery box sets to 0 i.e. at the end of an hour, Meltan will stop spawning around you. The Mystery Box will have a cooldown of 3 days, after which you have to transfer a Pokemonagain to HOME. This will recharge your Mystery box and it can be continued to use again.

Namely, a little metal friend called Meltan and the need to play both Pokémon Let’s Go and Pokémon GO to catch it. Here’s how you’ll be able to do that once you have the game for yourself.
How To Transfer Pokmon To Pokmon Home
4. Once done, you should then be returned to the Pokémon HOME settings screen in Pokémon GO where the SIGN IN button has been replaced by a SEND POKÉMON button.
5. Tap this and youll see a message about using the GO Transporter to send Pokémon, and that the amount of energy required depends upon the Pokémon.
The energy bar is full, so theres nothing to worry about for now.
6. Just choose a Pokémon to send, bearing in mind its a one-way transfer. So pick something you would transfer to the professor, not something you’d want to keep.
NOTE : Pokémon transferred to Pokémon HOME cannot be returned to Pokémon GO.
7.You can select multiple Pokémon, but one is enough to get a Mystery Box. Tap the TRANSPORT button and when the transfer is finished youll be told the Mystery Box is available.
8. Tap OK and youll see a message telling you that you need to open the Pokémon HOME app to finish moving the Pokémon and you wont be able to send any more until you complete this step.
9. Tap DONE and, if necessary, close the Settings screen. Tap the Pokéball at the bottom of Pokémon GOs main screen and tap ITEMS. Tap on Mystery Box in the list and when you have 30 minutes spare tap Open.
A series of Meltan will appear for you to catch. And if you’re doing this during the special event to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pokémon GO, you might even get a Shiny Meltan which can be evolved to Shiny Melmetal.
