What Is The Elite Four Challenge
If youre new to Pokemon, heres a brief rundown of the Elite Four. These trainers and the Champion comprise the Pokemon Leagueand the main games biggest challenge.
After obtaining all eight gym badges and traversing Victory Road, you must take on all five League trainers in a row without the chance to use a Pokemon Center or visit a PokeMart in between, so make sure youre well-stocked on Hyper Potions, Revives, and Full Heals.
Youll need some variety in your team types as well, and itd be good to vary each Pokemons moveset too, with some moves matching the mons type, some status inflicting or stat altering moves, and a move of a different type.
There’s no one type that’ll let you sail through the battles with ease, but in general, make sure you’ve got access to Electric, Ground, Water, and Ice moves to give your team a leading edge. More importantly, your team needs to be at least level 50 if you want a chance to survive, preferably a bit higher.
What New Items Are There In Pokemon Lets Go Post
Typically speaking, you will be given a new item upon completing a Pokemon game. In Pokemon Lets Go, however, things work a little differently . There is a new item you can get hold of upon completion, but not for beating the Elite Four. Upon completing the Pokedex, you will be given a Shiny Charm. Using this item will allow you to easily locate Shiny Pokemon every time you use it. This is the perfect tool for any perfectionist Pokemon trainers out there. Youll have to find and speak to the Game Director in order to get hold of your Shiny Charm. You will find him in the Game Freak building in Celadon City. You can also only find a few Mega Stones upon beating the Elite Four, most of which you should find in the Indigo Plateau.
Half His Team Is Weak To Ice
Trace’s complete team of six, which he uses to fight the player at the Pokémon League, consists of Pidgeot, Marowak, Vileplume, Slowbro, Rapidash, and his Starter. They’re all level 56, except for his Starter, which is level 57.

None of them pose much of a threat, at least not during this first fight. It also doesn’t help that three members of his team – Pidgeot, Vileplume, and Marowak – are vulnerable to Ice. Even if the player doesn’t have an Ice-type in its party, most Water-types in Kanto can learn Ice Beam, making this battle considerably easier.

His Bond With His Starter Isn’t That Strong
The player’s Starter Pokémon, either Pikachu or Eevee, refuses to evolve during the game’s events. It apparently represents how close the Pokémon’s bond with the player character is and how much it loves being a companion and friend instead of just another Pokémon.
Trace’s Starter, which is either Pikachu or Eevee, has no problem evolving. The Starter becomes either a Raichu or a Jolteon before the fourth battle with the player.
Legendary Pokmon Take Flight
To be fair, threeof the four Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon:Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’sGo, Eevee!Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltrescan be encountered before becomingthe Pokémon League Champion. But you need to decide whether you want to attemptto catch them before or after taking on the EliteFour. Unlike most wild Pokémon encounters in these games, you will have tobattle the Legendary Pokémon before attempting to catch them. Holding off onyour attempts gives your Pokémon team time to level up more, potentially makingthe battles easier. On the other hand, if you do manage to catch them beforearriving at the Indigo Plateau, you can bring them into your battles againstthe Elite Four.
Articuno can befound deep within the cave in the Seafoam Islands, which is located on Route 20along the southern edge of the Kanto region. This Ice- and Flying-type Pokémonhas a double weakness to Rock-type moves, but Fire-, Electric-, and Steel-type moveswill prove useful as well.
Zapdos hangs out atthe Power Plant, which can only be reached by using Sea Skim on Route 10 to reach the out-of-the-way facility. As anElectric- and Flying-type Pokémon, Zapdos is weak against Ice- and Rock-typemoves. Ground-type Pokémon won’t take damage from the Legendary Pokémon’sElectric-type moves, but at the same time, remember that Zapdos isn’t affectedby Ground-type moves.

All Elite Four Teams & How To Beat Them In Pokemon Lets Go
The Elite Four still stands as one of the toughest challenges in any Pokemon game. After clearing all eight gyms, its time to test your mettle against these battle-hardened trainers. If youre having trouble, heres how to beat the Elite Four in Pokemon Lets Go.
While theyre known as the Elite Four, youll actually have to defeat five trainers. The last person is considered the champion of the League, but youll be dethroning them soon enough. Before anything else, its important to note that you will be fighting all of them consecutively, meaning you cant stop by a center to heal your Pokemon between battles.
That said, its important to stock up on healing supplies before challenging the Elite Four in Pokemon Lets Go. Bring tons of potions, revives, and status ailment cures to keep your Pokemon in top shape after each battle. Moreover, make sure to level up your team a bit if they feel a bit weak. They should be good to go if theyre around the mid-50s or higher.
As with all of the other gym leaders in Pokemon Lets Go, the Elite Four also follow a certain theme when it comes to their team, save for the champion:
- Lorelei uses Ice-types
- Agatha uses Ghost and Poison-types
- Lance uses Dragon-types
How To Beat Lorelei
Lorelei is the queen of Ice-types and will freeze your team without a second thought. Lets take a look at her full team:
For the most part, she has one of the most straightforward teams in the Elite Four. You can easily counter most of her Pokemon with an Electric-type, such as your Pikachu or even a Jolteon.
Make sure to hit fast and hard, as you will lose a turn if she freezes your Pokemon. Luckily, Electric-types usually excel in speed, so you shouldnt have too much trouble taking her down in Pokemon Lets Go.

How To Beat Agatha
Agatha likes to shake things up by juggling two elemental types in her party. Heres her full team line-up in Pokemon Lets Go.
Agatha is one of the trickier fights in the Elite Four, but you can counter her team with a strong Psychic-type. If you brought one along for the fight against Bruno, you can use it again in this fight in Pokemon Lets Go.
Just take note that an Exeggutor might have some trouble facing against her Golbat and Arbok with their poison. An Alakazam or even a Hypno is definitely a solid pick when fighting this Elite Four member.
Now What Elite 4 Postgame
Congratulations! You’re now Pokemon Champion and beat the game. But, if you’re wondering what to do after beating the Elite Four, there’s actually a lot of postgame content in the Let’s Go games. The biggest challenges actually still lie in store–Master Trainers, and Trainers Red, Blue, and Green. You can check out our guidefor more details on how to find and beat those three.
But, you can also re-challenge the Elite Four and your rival once per day, which is a great way to level up for the other postgame challenges.
Each trainer’s Pokemon are 10 levels stronger than they were the first time, each added an Alolan Form Pokemon , and then they all have a fourth move in their set, with some other move changes too.
Fans who’ve played earlier games set in Kanto will probably recognize these movesets as closer to Gens I and II’s Elite Four

Team Rocket Brings Trouble
You’ll need to fight Team Rocket on several occasions to hamper their plans. With enough determination, you may even discover the leader of this band of ruffians.
Although you’ll battle many Team Rocket Grunts throughout your adventure, a particular trio of troublemakers will repeatedly rear their mischievous heads. Jessie, James, and Meowth are frequent foes in and
How To Beat The Champion
Now that youve made it this far, youll have to face the toughest trainer in all of Kanto. Take a look at his full team line-up in Pokemon Lets Go:
Before fighting the Elite Four champion, make sure to place your tankiest mon at the front of your team. Mega Pidgeot is extremely agile and will likely make the first move, hence why you want a mon that can soak up the damage.
As far as team compositions go, you can use your Psychic and Electric-type to take down Vileplume, Mega Pidgeot, and Slowbro. If you brought a Water-type to deal with Brunos Onix, itll work just as well against Marowak and Rapidash. Just make sure to bring a Ground-type mon, such as a Golem, in your team to deal with the Jolteon or Raichu.

What Does Pokemon Lets Go Post
Typically speaking, completing a games story isnt the final chapter of a game. The same can be said of Pokemon Lets Go. As there was in most of the previous Pokemon games, there is plenty you can get on with after beating the Pokemon Lets Go Elite Four. Naturally, as previous Pokemon games feature post-game content, people have been wondering exactly what there is to do in Pokemon Lets Go after beating the main story. Of course, everything that follows is a spoiler for Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee. If you dont want to know what there is to do after beating the Elite Four, then you might want to look away now.
He’s A More Capable Trainer Than He Seems
Trace’s team may have a crippling vulnerability to Ice, but he is still a capable and even outstanding trainer. After all, he wins all eight Gym badges, defeats the Elite Four, and becomes the Champion of the entire Kanto region.
It’s no small feat, especially for a child of 10. Many Trainers can’t even make it past the first Gym, or so the game says. Trace, however, shows promise from the start. He evolves and matures during his journey around Kanto, eventually becoming a true Pokémon Trainer.

Pokemon Lets Go End Game
Finishing the new game will take you around 35 hours. Once you are done with it, there is a wealth of things for you to do.
We will be going through all of them one by one so that you have a fair idea of where to head to rather than having to wander around aimlessly looking for new stuff.
We will start with Mewtwo that is a classic from the previous Pokemon games. We will also look at all of the new content that has been added specifically in Pokemon: Lets Go Eevee and Pikachu.
How To Beat Champion In Pokemon Lets Go
After defeating the Elite Four in Pokemon Lets GO, you can face the champion. He has a robust lineup of Pokemon so there are no stables for this one. However, Lapras, Joleton and Venusaur can be extremely useful so try taking them with you. For the partner pokemon, use Dugtrio or Snorlax and youll be just fine.

Battling The Elite Four
After a long journey and a tough hike through Victory Road, the Elite Four is the final boss. Beating the Elite Four grants you the status of Champion and effectively means you’ve beaten the game. There are other end-game things to do after beating the Elite Four, but the main journey is over.
You must face the Elite Four one after the other, without being able to stop in-between! You cannot go back and heal your Pokémon or leave the gyms at all. You can switch up your party and use items though, so it’s not too harsh. You can prepare effectively between battles.
His Team Doesn’t Get A Full Set Of 4 Moves Until The Post
Trace’s journey as a Trainer isn’t complete, not even as a Champion. It’s admirable that he gets so far, especially considering his Pokémon don’t even have adequate movesets. All six of his Pokémon only have three moves by the time the player challenges him at the Pokémon League, which explains why he loses.
Trace’s Pokémon finally get four moves in the rematches, but by then, it’s too late. The player is already the Champion, but at least Trace learned from his mistakes and taught a valuable lesson to fans:;never;challenge the Pokémon league with an incomplete team.
Lorelai: Ice & Water Pokmon
Lorelei is the first of the Elite Four. She’s the badass woman on the Lapras that helped you earlier in the game. This time around that Lapras as well as four additional Water or Ice type Pokémon with a couple of Psychic Pokémon in there as well. Her lineup includes:
Given her lineup includes a ton of Ice types, you won’t want to use Grass to counter all those Water types.
I recommend focusing on the following types:
- Electric for Water – Things such as Zapdos, Jolteon, Raichu, Electabuzz, and Magneton
- Steel, Fighting, or maybe Rock for Ice. Most of the best Rock Pokémon also have Ground, and will thus take more damage from Ice. Fighting will also be countered by Psychic, so this can be tricky.Steel: Magneton , Alolan Sandslash Rock: Golem, Rhydon, Aerodactyl Fighting: Machamp, Poliwrath
Overall, a couple of Magnetons should do the trick!
Battle & Trade Online
The online features of;Pokemon Let’s Go;allow players too battle and trade with friends or, if they’re so inclined, random people. When battling, all Pokemon get set to level 50 to keep things fair,;although it’s still possible to use the Key Stone to help things along.
Given the amount of hard work that goes into catching all of the game’s Legendary Pokemon and tracking down shiny gen 1 variants, the online areas of the games serve as a great place to show them all off. Of course, there are also plenty of challenging opponents there just waiting to be battled, making it a great training ground for those who’ve already defeated Red, Blue and Green.
What Else Is There To Do In Pokemon Lets Go Post
Aside from the Master Trainers, perhaps the second biggest new thing to do upon completing the game is having rematches with each of the games Gym Leaders. Be warned, however, that each one will come equipped with a Pokemon team thats far more powerful than it was before. Apart from this, the post-game in Pokemon Lets Go can generally be your playground to do whatever you want to do. Want to be the very best? Train up your team before taking on the world. Want to find all the Mega Stones that you missed on your first trip around Kanto? Do this in the post-game, why not. Kanto is your oyster.

He’s Idealistic But Fearful
Trace makes a great effort to do the right thing. He helps the player battle Team Rocket at Silph Co. and even holds off multiple Admins while the player goes and battles Giovanni. He expresses fear and doubt before every battle, though, but he always ends up doing the right thing.
Trace also holds an overly optimistic view of the world. When he meets the orphaned Cubone at the Pokémon Tower, he promises he will help it avenge its mother’s death and adopts it into his team. Trace may not be the most courageous, but he isn’t afraid to step up.
How To Beat Lorelei In Pokemon Lets Go
Lorelei mostly uses pokemon of the Ice Type. This means youll get freezing effects a lot. To tackle this, use electric Pokemon like Jolteon to start the battle. In addition, it can prove useful for Lapras later on. Also, remember to have a grass type pokemon with you for Slowbro and a Ghost type for Jynx.
Let’s Go Pikachu/let’s Go Eevee Gym Leaders& Elite Four
