Ive gotten lucky enough to already pull the Rayquaza VMAX alternate art, which was one of my most wanted cards from the set! Now I just need the alternate Rayquaza V to match Ill be one happy Rayquaza fan.

Its no secret that Evolving Skies is an extremely fun set to collect for. There are so many alternate arts, full arts and secret rares to try and collect. Not to mention, all the different Eeveelutions in this set! There are 34 thats right 34 different Eeveelution cards to collect in this set. The Eeveelutions have their own unique collector base and many collectors favorite Pokemon is one of the Eeveelutions.

With the Eeveelutions, Rayquaza, Dragonite, secret rares and alternate arts to consider, it can be easy to be overwhelmed when it comes to collecting this incredible set. This article is going to contain my top 10 investment picks from Evolving Skies. This can be a difficult thing to put into a list because there are so many variables at play. How much can you buy these cards for now? Did you pull it out of a four-dollar pack? Are you looking at the value in five years or in six months? So, I want to set some ground rules:

Eevee Evolution Nicknames In Pokemon Go

Niantic guaranteed that players can evolve Eevee into the desired Eeveelution quickly and easily by adding a nickname to the Pokemon and then evolving it using 25 candies. This can be done to quickly fill out the Pokedex while avoiding the randomness or extra hoops associated with getting specific Eeveelutions. The list includes:

• Jolteon Sparky
• Leafeon Linnea
• Sylveon Kira

Players ought to note that this can only be done once for each Eeveelution on a players account. If a player nicknames an Eevee Tamao, evolves it into a Umbreon, and tries to repeat the process, then the second Eevee named Tamao will evolve randomly into either Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon.

So, now that you have all the candy you need, how do you evolve Eevee? You can simply tap the evolve button to get a random Eevee evolution. Are there any other ways to guarantee certain Eevee evolutions in Pokémon Go? Unfortunately, the answer is no for Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon. But the good news is that the same doesnt apply for the rest of the gang. Espeon and Umbreon can be acquired by walking with Eevee as your buddy. Once youve walked 10 km together, you can evolve it during the day for Espeon or at night for Umbreon.

How To Evolve Into Leafeon And Glaceon With Bait Modules

With the;arrival of the new Sinnoh Pokémon;, Niantic has made three new Bait Modules available to players, including the Glacier and the Mossy.;These two Modules will allow us to;activate the evolution of Eevee to Glaceon and Leafeon, respectively;.

To do this, we will need the 25 candies of rigor, and then, we will only have to;go to a Poképarada and turn the photodisk .

Buddy Method For Espeon And Umbreon

This method is only used for getting the Generation 2 Pokémon:Espeon and Umbreon.

• You must have walked at least 10km with the Pokémon as your buddy, and have collected at least 2 candy.
• The Pokémon must be your buddy when you evolve it.

You can then choose between Espeon and Umbreon depending on whether you evolve your Eeveeduring the day or at night.

How To Make Your Buddy Excited With Or Without A Poffin In Pokmon Go

When in Adventure mode, performing activities with Buddies increases their mood. The highest level mood, excited can also give you benefits for a limited time.

When your buddy is excited as indicated by a cheering icon surrounded by Hearts then youll receive the following benefits:

• Candy distances will be halved
• Your daily Heart cap increases to 20

Getting a Pokémon excited, then, has its perks. To get it excited, there are two methods:

To make a Pokemon excited, you can either:

• Use Poffin a shop-only item you can purchase from the shop for 100 Coins which also fills all feeding heart meters for the day
• Perform enough actions to reach a certain threshold

Though the second one is free, its neither easy or particularly obvious from the outset. You must collect 32 points from performing various activities, but you cannot do them at once each individual activity has a 30 minute cooldown, with the exception of walking.

However, players have discovered a trick that allows you to target any of Sylveon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Espeon, Umbreon, Flareon, Jolteon or Vaporeon by using one of the following Eevee names:

• Rename Eevee as Kira to evolve into fairy-type Sylveon
• Rename Eevee as Linnea to evolve into leaf-type Leafeon
• Rename Eevee as Rea to evolve into ice-type Glaceon

Well get the bad news out of the way first; for these three originals, after youve used the nickname trick, were afraid there isnt really much more you can do to guarantee them.;

In order to get any more, youll have to revert to random evolutions by gathering Eevees and candies and keeping your fingers crossed that when it evolves youll get what youre looking for.;

Vee was a Pokémon Team Rocket experimented on with the use of the “Eevee Bio-Engineering Scheme”. This allowed Eevee to freely evolve into any of the Generation I Eeveelutions and then revert back into its original form. After some time under Red‘s ownership however, Vee evolved into an Espeon, and the ability was eliminated.

Karen‘s Umbreon, first seen in the Gold, Silver & Crystal chapter, used to be an Eevee.

The five Kimono Girls debuted in the HeartGold & SoulSilver chapter. Each own a different Eeveelution like their game counterparts, and by the end of the chapter, recruited a Leafeon and a Glaceon.

Y in the X & Y chapter caught an Eevee which she nicknamed Veevee and eventually evolved into Sylveon. This makes Y the second Pokédex holder to own an Eeveelution.

Day and night are based your local time. But they can be determined by looking at the environment and sky in-game. If its day in-game, you can evolve in to an Espeon. If its night in-game, you can evolve in to an Umbreon. Another way to check is to look at the silhouette on the evolve button to see which evolution the game will give you.

How To Evolve Using Nicknames To Guarantee Your Choice Of Eevee Evolution

If you evolve an Eevee ‘raw’ by spending 25 candy, it’ll just evolve into one of the different available evolutions at random. However, you can actually force a specific evolution by renaming your Eevee of choice to a special nickname – and the whole thing began as an easter egg nod to a classic set of Eevee evolutions found in the Pokemon anime TV show.

So, basically, all you have to do is rename your Eevee to a specific name and then evolve it the regular way by spending 25 candy. Here are the names and the Eevee Evolutions:

An important note about this little cheat: it only works once per Eevee Evolution. Once you’ve renamed one Eevee as Tamao to get Umbreon, for instance, you’ll only be able to get another Umbreon through ‘natural’ means – with that exact method depending on the eeveelution in question. This is why you should check your CP values and IV values before evolving an Eevee – make sure it’s a good one, as you only get one shot.

However, with hard work the newer Eeveelutions can be attained without having to rely on luck and RNG. But lets start with the quick an easy way: using the name trick.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Umbreon And Espeon Using Day And Night

It seems that naming Eevee is not the only way to determine its evolution. There is actually another way to evolve Eevee into Espeon and Umbreon, which we’ll detail below:

• First, your Eevee must have 10KMs walked and 2 Candy collected as your Buddy
• The Eevee must be set as you Buddy during Evolution
• Evolve Eevee at Night to get Umbreon
• Evolve Eevee during the Day to get Espeon

How To Evolve Into Espeon And Umbreon

The first time you want to get your hands on Espeon and Umbreon, you can use the name trick detailed above. Evolve an Eeevee called Tamao to get an Umbreon, or an Eevee named Sakura to evolve it into Espeon. After that, you’ll need to evolve them the old-fashioned way, by completing certain goals.

For Espeon and Umbreon, you can also evolve into them based on their in-game method of evolution in Pokemon Gold and Silver back on the Game Boy – based on the time of day. In order to do this, you’ll first need to build a relationship with your Eevee. Set them as your buddy Pokemon and walk with them as much as you can.

Once you’ve walked 10km with that Eevee as your buddy Pokemon, it’s ready to evolve into either Epseon or Umbreon. Just evolve in the day for Espeon and night for Umbreon – and this isn’t limited, you can do it as often as you like!

All The Eevee Nickname Tricks

When Pokémon Go launched, there were no evolution stones – items from the core games that allow you to evolve certain Pokémon. Eevee’s first three evolutions normally require these special items to evolve, so Pokémon Go left Eevee’s evolution up to chance. However, the folks over at Niantic did hide a little Easter eggs in game. If you rename an Eevee to these nicknames, each based on a notable NPC’s Pokémon from the anime or core games, they’ll evolve into exactly the Eeveelution you want, but you can only use each one once per account:

A second method of evolving Eevee into Umbreon and Espeon exists, and it’s surprisingly easy. Simply make Eevee your buddy Pokémon and walk 10km. You can then evolve your Eevee at night to unlock Umbreon, or during the day for Espeon. You can easily tell if it’s day or night by looking at the colour of your map or listening to the game’s music, but ensure that you have good signal before evolving – the game needs to know the time of day in your exact location and if your signal drops at the wrong moment, you’ll get a Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon no matter how far you’ve walked.
