Field Research REVIEW (September-December 2019) Final Rayquaza Raid Hour (Pokemon GO)

Niantic announced a big change to the Research Breakthrough rewards before the start of November.

Previously trainers had the chance to meet one of several legendary pokemon in the game.

Then in September, fans had the chance to encounter Flower Crown Eevee. Which was a bit, well, rubbish. Even if there was a chance to encounter Shiny Flower Crown Eevee, too.

Thankfully, in November 2019 the Pokemon GO team changed it up and from November 1, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT to January 1, 2020, at 1 p.m. PST , Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Kyogre, Groudon are once again available as a Research Breakthrough Rewards.

Plus any possible shiny and shadow varients too.

Everything Else You Need To Know About Research Quests In Pokmon Go

SHINY GIBLE! *DECEMBER RESEARCH TASKS* – SHINY AERODACTYL, SPINDA & MORE | POKÉMON GO

Though the quest features are well explained in the game, there’s some nuance that will help you get the most out of each objective you undertake.

  • Completing one of the Special Research objectives will not add a daily stamp to your Research Breakthrough progress – it must be from a Field Research quest instead.
  • You can cancel and complete as many Field Research quests as you want per day.
  • It’s possible to have multiple of the same Field Quest at once, and complete them all at the same time.
  • Pokémon encounters from Research quests always feature Level 15 Pokémon, with the 66 per cent to 100 per cent IV spreads you also find in Raid or Egg encounters, and are unaffected by the weather.
  • Certain Special Research quests will be automatically completed if you complete their requirements since they are impossible to ‘repeat’, such as reaching a certain Trainer or medal level.

Pokemon Go Field Research List: September 2021 Rewards And Missions

As we previously explained, everything around the field research mission system is on rotation. Every month brings around a different set of events with different goals, and we’re going to keep this page up-to-date with whatever the current mission set is. Here’s the quests that you’ll find in your Field Research list during September 2021 – but remember these quests are given out at random, so which you see is entirely down to chance.

Field research missions have an element of the random to their rewards – so there’s a chance that you’ll get more basic rewards like Pokeballs, Stardust and other items. Every quest has a Pokemon encounter it has a chance of rewarding you with, however, and this is a list of those missions and encounters:

Pokemon Go December 2019 Field Research Quests Rewards And ‘a Challenging Development’

Pokemon GO Field Research Quests and rewards typically rotate every month. Here’s everything you need to know, including all the details for the field research quests, tasks and rewards in December 2019.

It’s the start of a brand new month and that means new Pokemon GO field research quests, rewards, shiny Spinda and much more.

If you’re new to the game, or getting back into the swing of things after a few months away, then let us quickly explain how this works.

Every day, players spin PokeStops and collect field research quests from Professor Willow. These are completely random and the quest for each PokeStop changes with each day that goes by.

Should players take the time to complete field research they’ll earn rewards in return. These could be anything from Pokeballs, extra berries to random Pokemon encounters. It all depends on the research task you complete.

Out of everything, it’s the latter which are the most popular. Not only have you got a good chance of catching some semi-rare pokemon, but also, your odds of catching a shiny are increased too.

Finally, if you complete seven Field Research Quests you will unlock a field research breakthrough. This means you’ll have the chance to capture a special Pokemon that’s unique and can’t otherwise be caught in the wild.

How Pokemon Go Field Research Missions & Their Rewards Work

Pokémon Go Research quests: September Field Research ...

Field Research missions are essentially little mini-quests given to you by the game when you spin Pokestops, and sometimes every now and then at random. Each PokeStop gets one specific field research mission assigned to it each day, and though you can complete a quest more than once per day you’ll only ever pick up the same mission from any given PokeStop. The rewards vary, depending on the quest, and are listed below.

You can complete as many or as few field research quests as you’d like, but you’ll want to aim to complete at least one mission per day in order to work towards your research breakthrough. Quests range across all aspects of Pokemon Go and in a sense exist to get players to experience all aspects of the game. Field research quests might ask you to battle in a raid, battle in a gym, hatch Pokemon eggs, catch certain Pokemon types or even spin Pokestops – and these are just a few examples.

Sometimes a task will reward you with the items, but other times you’ll be rewarded with a rare Pokemon encounter – field research tasks are the only way to encounter and catch Spinda, for instance. These encounters are also really useful since Pokemon encountered in this way can’t flee.

The quests and rewards on offer rotate in a monthly manner for the most part, meaning at the end of one month Niantic will retire quests and rewards and replace them with new ones. Here’s the current quests & rewards:

Pokemon Go December Field Research Research Breakthrough Missions Rewards

Pokémon GO had a very exciting year. There have been a number of impressive events, new features and even the introduction of Gen 4 Pokémon, to the point that the numbers of players approach the values of when the game was released two years ago. It seems that Niantic is using the month of December to celebrate this great year of Pokémon GO, offering the biggest hits of the monthly search tasks. In this December Research Guide for Pokémon Go, we have all the details about the Research tasks you will need to perform this month. Lets take a look at Research Breakthrough rewards and keep this page up to date with the latest information.

    What Are Special Research Quests

Special Research quests, meanwhile, are story-based questlines with unique rewards. Unlike Field Research quests, these are fixed objectives that every player will face, and appear in the game infrequently.

The first available is ‘A Mythical Discovery‘, with the arrival of the game’s first Mythical creature – Mew – as the end reward.

Our A Mythical Discovery explains the eight steps required to unlock Mew, which includes finding specific Pokémon, participating in Raid and Gym battles, and reaching a certain Trainer level.

The arrival of Gen 2’s Celebi suggests this is how other Mythicals – such as, we assume, Gen 3’s Jirachi – will be released in the game, but as we’ve now seen with Spiritomb they won’t always be restricted to Mythical Pokémon only.

Field Research Breakthroughs & Stamps Explained

SHINY LEGENDARY BEASTS – NEW RANDOM BREAKTHROUGH & FIELD RESEARCH in Pokemon Go!

As you can see in the field mission screen inside Pokemon Go, there are a series of stamps adding up to seven stamps. You can only earn one stamp per day even if you complete multiple missions – so basically, this series of stamps is designed to last a week. When you reach the seventh stamped day you’ll unlock a Research Breakthrough, represented on the screen by the big wrapped-up parcel from Professor Willow.

Exactly what will be inside these packages varies from month to month alongside the other research bonuses and rewards including the potential for a Sinnoh or Unova Stone evolution item to drop. In addition to that, every month this ‘research breakthrough’ features a Pokemon encounter. You also have an unlimited amount of tries to catch them, as Pokemon encountered in this way can’t run away. So long as you have patience and Pokeballs, you can keep trying until they’re caught.

This is a great place to practice how to make excellent throws and curveball throws in Pokemon Go, too. Pokemon caught this way will also have naturally high stats – the same sort of stats that you might find on Pokemon encountered as part of raid battles. All in all, this is a great way to catch rare Pokemon.

Pokmon Go Field Research Quests Explained

Field research are missions collected one at a time by spinning a PokéStop, and will involve finding certain creatures, engaging in battles and other activities.

Every day PokéStops will give you a new quest, and each type of quest can have one of many different rewards, from previously Raid-exclusive consumables such as TMs and Rare Candy and common items such as Poké Balls.

    Examples of quest types include:

    • Catch one or two specific Pokemon
    • Catch specific Types
    • Catch Weather-boosted Types
    • Hatch a certain number of Eggs
    • Battle in a Gym a certain number of times
    • Battle in a Raid a certain number of times
    • Evolve a certain number of Pokemon
    • Make a certain number of specific throws
    • Spin a certain number of PokeStops

Some of these quest rewards even give you the chance to catch a mystery Pokémon. There’s nothing exclusive here, but there does include uncommon and rare Pokémon, such as Tangela and Chansey, depending on the quest in particular.

As well as from a PokéStop, one additional research quest will also be added to your list at midnight local time. If you have a full roster of research, then you’ll receive a fourth regardless – though if you still have four the following evening, no more will be added.
