How Celebi Event ‘a Ripple In Time’ Works In Pokmon Go
Catching Celebi works much like Mew did back in the first half of 2018, becoming available as part of a Special Research quest line named ‘A Ripple in Time’.
To get started, you need to have completed the third group of tasks for Mew’s’A Mythical Discovery’. Like Mew, there’s no time limit to completing the quest line – so take your time!
Celebi is also has also recieved it’s shiny form in Pokémon Go. This form first came available during the December 2020 Secrets of the Jungle event and, if you played Pokémon Go during this event, you’d unlocked the Distracted by Something Shiny special research quest. Completing this questline would result in you catching shiny Celebi!
The quest is broken down into eight stages, with multiple challenges to complete per stage. By completing every step of the Special Research quest, the Mythical creature will be given to players as a reward.
Though these are similar to Field Research quests, the specific steps are fixed for every player – so if you don’t mind spoilers, you can plan ahead and learn what you need to do to complete them all catch Celebi – which is useful as you’ll need to undertake Raid and Gym battles along the way.

How To Get Meltan In Pokmon: Lets Go

How Celebi First Debuted In Pokmon Go
Before August, only those attending this year’s Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago were available to catch Celebi.
Ahead of the July event, datamining had revealed a Special Research quest for attendees, which confirmed how the following went down:
- A total of five steps to complete
- Challenges to hatch an Egg, earn Buddy Candy and visit PokéStops
- Catching Unown, Plusle and Minun
- Story text hinting at Celebi’s time travelling abilities
Once attendees registered for the event they could get started.
Another hint Celebi was going to be at Go Fest is through a sponsored tweet from Mystic7, showing a silhouette of the Pokemon in an event invite:

How Do I Get Premier Balls
Premier balls are exclusive to raids, and are the sole type of Poké ball that you can use to try and capture the raid boss if you successfully defeat it. You cant collect premier balls using the ordinary means, and will instead earn a set number depending on the following factors:
- Defeat the boss: five premier balls
- Damage: up to;four premier balls
- Gym:;up to two if you control gym

As mentioned above, Niantic has confirmed that new shiny Pokemon are available to catch this week. Heres the latest news provided by Niantic on the new Celebi quest, which reads: Along the way to discovering Celebis time-shifting nature, youll encounter tasks that will test your skills as a Trainer.
How Do You Get Rare Candy
Research duties: The pokemon cross has many activities with special research obligations, a number of these study duties include rewards such as rare sweets, and the trainers have plenty of time to finish these research missions.
Flight sync: The pokemon cross can keep track of the kilometers the player has traveled and if you think about it as many have already tried, it can also come across if you are in a car.
But, for every 5 kilometers or three miles walked, players can be rewarded with Pokeballs, Stardust, and a third of a chance to win three Uncommon Candies, these rewards are awarded at the start of the week and track the previous weeks stats.
Go war league PVP: Coaches who win 4 out of five suits in Cross Wars League win three bars of chocolate Uncommon, this approach can become a bit tricky for players and not easy.
Bookstops: By spinning pokestops, you can face missions that praise you with 1 to a few rare candies when you complete them, however, these missions can range in phrases the hard or smooth way.
Raid battles: A great way to get more rare candy is to participate in raid battles, defeating a raid boss can get you anywhere between zero to twelve rare goodies, zero because there may nonetheless be a risk that you wont be rewarded with rare items.

A Ripple In Time Part 2
The second part of your quest will have you doing a little bit of everything. You will need to make three friends in the game by sharing your Trainer Code with other players and sending friend requests to people you know. You also must catch three Pokémon three days in a row , which shouldnt be too difficult.
Hardest of all, though, is that you will have to evolve an evolved Grass-type Pokémon. Considering the requirements, it narrows things down a bit. That means you will have to evolve your Ivysaur into Venusaur, your Weepinbell into Victreebel, your Bayleef into Meganium, etc. Remember, you can generally find Grass-types in open fields and wooded areas.

Four: Take Down The Boss
When the countdown reaches zero, youll enter into a battle with your first;Pokémon. The battle interface is just like a gym battle, with fast and strong attacks and swiping to dodge. But instead of a one-on-one fight with a trainers;Pokémon, all of the people in your team will attack simultaneously, whittling down the bosss hit points until it reaches zero. This is why its so important to have a large group: the boss can only attack one;Pokémon/trainer combo at a time, while everyone can attack it during the entire battle.
You can swap out and heal;Pokémon if necessary, but keep an eye on the timer: if the boss still has hit points when it reaches zero, the entire group loses the fight. If you do manage to beat the raid boss, youll be showered with experience and rare items like Rare Candies and Golden Razz Berries. Youll also receive a number of Premier PokéBalls: the better you, your local team, and game team; do, the more Premier Balls youll receive.
Stage 6: Visit A Pokstop 7 Days In A Row Use 25 Pinap Berries While Catching Pokmon Use Items To Evolve Pokmon 2 Times
Waiting 3 days wasn’t enough for you? How about 7 days? Sigh. That’s what it’ll take to spin 7 PokéStops in 7 Days to complete this task. And, to make things worse, if you miss a day, you’ll have to start over. Double sigh.
25 Pokémon with Pinap Berries is just a grind. Get through it. Use Ultra Balls if you have them so you don’t waste your time with escapes and flees.
Then, if you dutifully saved your Evolution Items from previous rewards, use them on 2 Pokémon to get two evolutions and be on your way.
- Sun Stone: Evolves Gloom into Bellossum and Sunkern into Sunflora.
- King’s Rock: Evolves Poliwhirl into Politoed and Slowpoke into Slowking

How To Catch Mewtwo In Pokemon Go
Mewtwo was previously a regular fixture as an ex-raid Legendary but has now been replaced with Deoxys. The good news though is that while Mewtwo is not currently available in Raids, it will just be a case of waiting until it returns. Niantic continues to circle the Raid Legendaries and Mewtwo was present in late 2018 so well just have to be patient and await its return for 2019. How To Catch Celebi In Pokmon Go
Before we get started, let’s take a look at how catching Celebi works. Just like with catching Mew, you have to complete a Special Research Quest. This is a series of eight objectives you have to beat to get a chance at catching Celebi, and you’ll earn rewards by completing each step along the way.
These differ from Field Research Quests in that they’re fixed, and you have to complete them in a specific order. That does mean that you can plan ahead though, and prepare what you might need to whiz through objectives you unlock later.
The one area that A Ripple In Time differs from A Mythical Discovery though, is that there’s an unlock requirement. You first have to reach the third objective of A Mythical Discovery, the Special Research Task you have to beat to unlock Mew.

Celebi Quest Stage 6/8
- Visit PokeStops 7 days in a row
- Use 25 Pinap Berries while catching Pokemon

After all that walking, stage 6 seems positively relaxing. Youre on this stage for a week anyway so keeping on top of Pinap Berries shouldnt be too tricky and, if you arent sure of which Pokemon can be evolved with items, check out our Pokemon Go evolution items guide. Between a combination of the Upgrade for Porygon at the end of the previous quest and the seven day Poke Stop streak, you should enough items to complete the task. If you still have any spare Sunkerns, the upgrade to Sunflora could be exactly what you need here without the 100 candy demands of other item evolutions.;

In terms of making new friends, Pokemon Go always wants you to get out into the world and meet people. If you arent already part of a local Facebook or Discord group, hunt one down, or you could always guarantee a new set of friends by putting your friend code on Twitter with a #PokemonGo hashtag and hunting for people who have done the same.
The second task here, evolving an evolved Grass type Pokemon, might be trickier dependent on how much Grass type candy you are storing. This Grass Pokemon already needs to be on the 2nd of its evolutions before you hit evolve again ie: Ivysaur to Venusaur or Skiploom to Vileplume. You do not need to have been the one to do the first evolution – ie you could catch or trade a wild Skiploom and it will work – but you do need to have the inevitably 100 candy to do the evolution. What’s The Best Moveset For Celebi
Celebi is a Psychic- Grass-type Pokémon that has tons of potential… but lacks the moveset pool to really make a dent. Confusion, which gets STAB is better than charge beam as a fast move. Dazzling Gleam, a Fairy-type move, out scores both Psychic and the plodding cannon that is Hyper Beam, even with Psychic’s STAB.
Celebi’s current lack of any Grass-type Fast or Charge moves means it offers nothing as a Grass attacker at the moment. That could change any time Pokémon Go wants it to, though.

The odds of encountering a shiny legendary Pokemon would vary in different cases. For instance, if you have encountered a Kyogre, there is a 1 in 32 chance that it would be shiny.
