Pokmon Go Spotlight Hour Schedule For June 2021

*JUNE 2021 EVENTS* in POKEMON GO | RAID BOSSES, SPOTLIGHT HOURS & MORE!

With a new month comes a new Spotlight Hour schedule for Pokémon Go.On Tuesday, June 1, we saw Dwebble as the featured Spotlight Hour Pokémon. However, because of the way the days line up for the month, we get to see four more Spotlight Hours this month! The schedule below explains which Pokémon and bonuses will be featured each Tuesday.

  • Featured Bonus: 2x Catch XP
  • Featured Bonus: 2x Catch Candy
  • Featured Bonus: 2x Transfer Candy
  • Featured Pokémon: Swinub
  • Featured Bonus: 2x Evolve XP
  • Featured Pokémon: Aipom
  • Featured Bonus: 2x Catch Stardust
  • The best part about Spotlight hours is that the effects stack if you combine them with related items in your inventory. For example, if you use a Lucky Egg during a Spotlight Hour that features 2x Bonus Catch XP, then you will receive 4x Bonus Catch XP for catches made, instead of just 2x.

How Can I Prepare For Pokmon Go Spotlight Hours And Bonus Hours

Assuming the headlining monster is one youre interested in, we would recommend that you start stockpiling useful items ready for Spotlight Hours. You should make sure you have:

    • Enough Pokéballs and Pinap Berries to catch and evolve Spotlight Hour Pokémon
    • Extra Ultra Balls and Razz Berries on hand to nab any hard-to-catch Pokémon that pop up
    • Lures to draw the featured Pokémon to you might be a good idea, although Spotlight Hour events don’t increase Lure time like their Community Day counterparts, so you’ll only get 30 minutes from a Lure
    • Sufficient space in your Pokémon Storage Box for all the Pokémon you’re going to catch – you only have an hour, remember, so don’t waste it doing admin you could have done beforehand
    • Lucky Eggs, Star Pieces and Super Incubators on standby

Pokemon Go June 2021 Spotlight Hour Schedule

Spotlight Hour has been a delight for Pokemon GO players ever since it launched. It provides useful bonuses and Pokemon that are needed for Trainers to complete an evolution by stacking up candies. This event is also great for waiting to power up a Pokemon to the max.

This event is always on Tuesdays of a month, so we have four to five Spotlight Hour events per month. For June, here is the full schedule on when and which Pokemon will appear.

On the first Tuesday of the month, which is coincidentally the start of June, we will be having Dwebble and it will bring us a special bonus of twice the XP for catching Pokemon.

On June 8, 2021, we will be teleported with Abra and the bonus of x2 Candy for catching Pokemon.

The next Tuesday everything will be a little slow, just like Slowpoke and we will have x2 the Candy for transferring Pokemon.

On June 22nd we will see Swinub appearing more in the wild, and the bonus will be x2 XP for evolving Pokemon.

On the last Tuesday of the month, June 29th, the Long Tailed Pokemon will visit us and will grant us a bonus of x2 Stardust for catching Pokemon.

What Time Is The Pokemon Go July 2021 Spotlight Hour

Spotlight Hours are from 6-7 PM in your local time, meaning theres always the chance to catch something rare at that time.

Of course, Spotlight Hours dont happen every single day. They are often a weekly event that takes place on a certain day. Niantic hasnt yet revealed what day the July hours will land on, but this article will be updated with the new information as it becomes known.

With the time being the same no matter the time zone, it means players wont have to go out at the crack of dawn to take advantage of the event. 6-7 PM should hopefully be a good hour for the majority of players.

We can go off June 2021s Spotlight Hours as a good guess for when theyll happen in July. They happen every Tuesday, usually with a different Pokemon as the focus. In that hour, theyre pretty much the only thing youll encounter in the world, which makes it the perfect time to catch loads and boost for Candies.

We dont know for certain which Pokemon will appear in Spotlight Hours in July. However, Niantic labeled July as the month of Bidoof. You can almost guarantee that the adorable Normal-type Pokemon will appear in one of the Spotlight Hours. Other Pokemon that got the spotlight in June included Dwebble, Abra, and Slowpoke. You can expect other relatively common Pokemon to crop up and once again, dont rule out a Bidoof takeover.

Can Swinub Be Shiny How To Catch Shiny Swinub

Shiny Swinub will be available during this Spotlight Hour event. All you need to do is encounter as many of the featured Pokémon as you can to increase your chances. They wont be boosted as they typically are for Community Day, but if you are in a high spawn area or can travel around looking for more then you should have a decent chance of catching one.

Just try to encounter as many as you can, catching them if you have the time or want more Ice types for the All-In-One #151 Special Research quest. Otherwise just back out and check another one.

And thats our Swinub Spotlight Hour guide for Pokémon GO, including how to catch Shiny Swinub.

With the bonus already discussed and the Pokemon of the hour established, you know pretty much everything already.

The only other real detail of note is whether or not you can use this event to farm for Shiny Swinub, and fortunately for those shiny hunters out there, you can! Shiny Swinub is currently available in Pokemon Go at all times, so that means that itll be a possible encounter every new Swinub you find during the spotlight hour.

Im not really sure what to think about shiny Swinub here. I mean, in all honesty it looks like it suffered a bad case of radiation exposure.

That said there are always those Trainers seeking shinies to expand their total collection, and regardless of appearance of the shiny involved, spotlight hours usually make a great window to try to farm for the featured Pokemon as a shiny.

In any case, thats everything youll need to know about the upcoming Swinub Spotlight Hour on June the 22nd, 2021.

What Is The Swinub Spotlight Hour Bonus

pokemon go spotlight hour of June 2021 full detail

Along with massively boosted spawn rates in the wild, Swinub Spotlight Hour has one additional bonus feature that Pokémon GO players will want to take advantage of. Double evolution XP offers a great chance to level up or just earn extra XP if you have spare time during the event. Using a Lucky Egg will give you four times the usual amount of XP for evolving a Pokémon, if its done within the events timeframe.

If you havent cleared out your inventory in a while, now is a good time to activate a Lucky Egg, open the Pokémon menu and search for evolve to see what is available. Then just go through and evolve any that youre willing to spend Candy on so that you get a bunch of additional XP. But this will keep you away from the overworld map, so make sure you arent hunting for Shiny Swinub.
