Best Teams For ‘pokemon Go’ Little Cup

The Little Cup has a couple of requirements: the maximum CP required is 500, and the Pokemon players can use those that can be evolved but haven’t been.

With that, it can be a little daunting for “Pokemon GO” players who are used to using their most powerful monsters, but it sure is a fun way to change things up a little bit while allowing players to get useful rewards.

So, which monsters should you be using, and what movesets are the best for a little PvP action?

According to PVPoke, a website that ranks the best Pokemon based on their movements and stats in-game, here are the best Pokemon for the Little Cup, in order:

The Best Pokemon Go Great League Remix Teams

Pokemon Go Pvp Great League Tier List

Pokemon GO’s Great League Remix has returned for another season this June, causing trainers who compete in the format to change up their battle strategies to succeed.

Pokemon GO’s Great League Remix implements a strict ban on some of the most-used meta Pokemon found in the standard Great League.

Niantic used the top Pokemon found on teams of trainers with the Ace rank and higher to calculate who received a ban. As a result, trainers have been forced to use Pokemon that may not have been among their top choices in order to battle and rise through the ranks.

In this format, many teams have already emerged as great contenders in the Great League Remix meta.

    Bastiodon Is Another Defensive Superstar

Bastiodon is a dual Ground/Steel-type Pokemon. At Level 50, it has a Max CP of 1,741, an Attack of 94, a Defense of 286, and a Stamina of 155. Bastiodon evolves from Shieldon with 50 Candy. The best Quick move for Bastiodon is Smack Down , and the best Charge moves are Stone Edge and Flamethrower .

It is obviously used as a wall in Great League battles, due to the ridiculously high defense. The only way Bastiodon goes down is from Fighting, Ground, Water, and Fire-type moves. It may be slow, but Bastiodon is pretty decent offensively and has decent coverage with its attacks.

    Swampert Has Massive Attacking Power

Swampert is a Water/Ground-Type Pokemon. At Level 50, its Max CP clocks in at 3,362, its Attack at 208, Defense at 175, and Stamina at 225. Swampert evolves from Marshtomp with 100 Candy, which evolves from Mudkip with 25 Candy. Swampert’s best Quick move is Mud Shot , while its best Charge moves are Hydro Cannon , Earthquake , and Sludge Wave .

Though it struggles against Grass-type Pokemon, Swampert is a serious threat in the Great League as its moves are phenomenal. Swampert offers great coverage and capitalizes on this due to killer attacking power. If the trainer has Shadow Swampert instead of regular Swampert, that works too!

Our Pokmon Go Great League Recommendations From Altaria To Trevenant

There is no one ‘best’ team you can choose – since, as mentioned previously, you don’t know what you are up against – and not everyone has access to every type of Pokémon.

Instead, here is a general list of recommended Great League Pokémon to build a team from, with a wide range of sources that should suit all players, whether you’ve been collecting creatures since day one or just started playing.

Remember you are only allowed one of each in the Go Battle League, and ideally you’d want to build a team with different type strengths and defense. For example, if you build a team with Altaria, Skarmory and Azumarill, you’ll be especially open to Electric types.

Its also worth noting that if you want to really compete, each of your Pokémon need two Charged moves. If you want to skimp on Stardust and only run the one move, do so at your own peril you have been warned.

Our Pokémon Go Great Team recommendations, as of May 2022, in order of their appearance in the National Pokédex:

    Venusaur

Type: Grass / PoisonRecommended moves: Vine Whip , Frenzy Plant or Solar Beam or Sludge Bomb Venusaur Weaknesses: Fire, Flying, Ice, Psychic

Many starter evolutions are recommended for the Great League – they’re common, are the subject of Community Days and usually rank on the upper end for their type.

As a result, Venusaur comes recommended, especially as it can help counter the likes of Azumarill and Whiscash.

    Alolan Marowak

Its particularly useful against fighting and psychic .

    Azumarill

    Umbreon’s Defense Is Nearly Unbreakable

The Best Great League Team of All Time?? Pokémon GO Battle League!

This Dark-type Pokemon’s Level 50 stats include a Max CP of 2,416, an Attack of 126, a Defense of 240, and a Stamina of 126. Umbreon evolves from Eevee with 25 Candy, after the trainer walks 10 kilometers during the nighttime.

RELATED: The Best Charge Moves in Pokémon GO

Umbreon’s best Quick move is Snarl , while its strongest Charge moves are Last Resort and Dark Pulse . It is strong in the Great League because the super low attack means a super high defense. This thing is the ultimate wall. The only time Umbreon falls short is if opposing Pokemon use Counter , so watch out for this particular attack.

How To Beat Team Go Rocket Boss Giovanni In Pokemon Go

For being the boss of Team Go Rocket, this battle isnt especially difficult if you have proper counters. In fact, its one of the most straightforward of these leader battles since Giovannis first and third Pokemon will always be set in stone. Here are all of Giovannis possible Pokemon:

    • Pokemon 1

    Pokemon Go: Best Normal

Look, Normal-types are not as bad as people make them out to be. Sure, you’ll rarely find yourself using Normal-type attacks in Pokemon GO, but that doesn’t mean they’re totally useless. Normal-types only have one weakness , they have a double resistance to Ghost, and they get STAB from moves like Hyper Beam and Giga Impact. They also do neutral damage to every type except Rock and Steel, meaning they can be great generalists. Additionally, they learn a lot of moves from other types, which isn’t relevant in this specific ranking, but it’s worth noting.

The best among them is Shadow Porygon-Z, which is in line with the fact that Porygon-Z is great in the main series as well. With Lock-On and Tri-Attack, it’s going to have fantastic DPS and respectable TDO. Hyper Beam is viable, too, but not as good. But, Tri-Attack is locked behind an Elite TM as it’s a CD move. You can purify it for Return, which is decent as well, but then you lose the Shadow boost.

Note: It seriously looks like Arceus may arrive soon, given that the Season of Heritage promotional material contains very similar vibes to Pokemon Legends: Arceus . It looks like Arceus, while not putting the Normal-type on the map, will be a great addition to the game. It’s an immensely powerful Pokemon, so hopefully that remains true in this mobile side game.

    Pokemon Go: Best Ghost

Ghost-types are often phenomenal, especially in matchups against Psychic-types. Given the high number of Psychic-type Legendaries, this comes in handy often. Shadow Ball is also one of the best moves in the game, so the fact that Ghost-types get STAB from it is very appealing.

Currently the only Ghost-type Mega Evolution in the game, Mega Gengar soars above the rest of the spooky crew. Its massive max Attack stat of 349 and access to fantastic moves make it one of the best Pokemon in the entire game, regardless of type. Lick and Shadow Claw are mostly interchangeable, but either one should be paired with Shadow Ball. Mega Gengar is so strong that it actually ranks as one of the best Dark-type attackers, too. It’ll be joined eventually by Mega Sableye and Mega Banette, but neither should pose much of a threat to M-Gengar’s top spot.

Chandelure, the Ghost/Fire-type from Gen V, was a fantastic Ghost-type then, and it is in Pokemon GO, too. It ranks high for both DPS and TDO, and its type combination is both useful and interesting. It makes for one of the best Ghost-type attackers, as well as one of the best Fire-type attackers, giving it some use for either function. Fore pure damage-per-second, it ranks third, and for total damage output, fifth. Plus, the fact that it doesn’t need to be Shadow or Mega Evolved is very, very nice.

  • Shadow Beedrill
  • Compared to the previous season, the big exclamation point of this list is Trevenant. This vexed Pokémon that might as well have come out of The Lord of the Rings didnt come into play until the 2021 Halloween event and has been blowing up the meta ever since. Its dual typing as a Ghost and Grass monster gives it six resistances , and those types are commonly played in Great League, which is as valuable an asset as it sounds.

Top 30 Pokemon Master League Classic

Not All Pokemon Can Battle In Pokemon Go

As of May 2021, Ditto and Shedinja cant be used in Trainer Battles. The issue is that Dittos Transform move would allow it to transform into a fully powered version of whatever Pokemon it encounters, which would make it problematic in lower leagues.

Shedinja, on the other hand, only has 1 HP and can only be damaged by moves that are super effective, thanks to its unique ability. So, Pokemon GO just removed it from the battling system.

    Azumarill Is Surprisingly Bulky

Best Master League Team to Legend I Season 8 Pokemon GO Battle League

Azumarill is a Fairy and Water-type Pokemon. At Level 50, it has a Max CP of 1,795, an Attack of 112, a Defense of 152, and a Stamina of 225. Azumarill evolves from Marill with 25 Candy Marill evolves from Azurill with 25 Candy as well.

The best Quick move for Azumarill is Bubble . Meanwhile, its best Charge moves are Hydro Pump , Ice Beam , and Play Rough . Azumarill shines in the Great League because it is insanely bulky due to its defense and stamina. It also has decent typing and covers just about everything the trainer needs.

    Pokemon Go: Best Grass

Grass is not typically considered an offensive type. Like Poison, it makes use of other strategies instead of pure damage output, like sleep and paralysis conditions, health-sapping moves, and more. However, Grass-type attackers see a lot of use against the all-too-common Rock/Ground combo, as well as being one of Water’s only two weaknesses. In the battle of Rock, Ground, and Water, Grass is good against all of them. Additionally, Grass is often paired with a secondary typing that allows it some more utility, depending on the context.

Venusaur is already a bulk monster, but that’s increased heavily by its Mega Evolution. Mega Venusaur sports an absolutely unbelievable max stat spread of 241 in Attack, 246 in Defense, and 190 in Stamina. This Grass/Poison-type is going to be standing for a long, long time, giving it massive TDO of ~1,005 points. The Grass-type move given to all Grass starters on Community Day, Frenzy Plant, is an extremely attractive factor. It’s easily one of the best moves in the game, and paired with the fast energy generation of Vine Whip, Mega Venusaur is a force to be reckoned with. It will one day be outclassed by Mega Sceptile, but for now, this bulky plant dino is here to soak up damage and deal it back out with ease.

Team Rocket Leader Sierra Pokmon Line

    First Pokémon
    Mud Shot Sand Tomb

Shadow Nidoran may look small, but that tiny tooth can really chew through your team if you’re not careful. The general strategy with these longer fights is to tank the weaker Pokémon so that you can gather the energy needed for Charged Attacks against the second.

Bite from this Pokémon can quickly kill your own, though, making it a risky play. You’ll want to use something bulky against this one, so don’t worry too much about bringing a super-effective one. Avoid a Psychic-type Pokémon at all costs. Rhyperior can fill in well. but Charizard has a higher chance of being useful against the next Pokémon in Sierra’s squad.
