New Shinies In Pokemon Go

Must read

NEW POKÉMON, NEW SHINIES, NEW EVENT GRINDING! (Pokémon GO)

Shiny Pokémon are special versions of a Pokémon with a different coloration. Unlike the main series games, shinies in Pokémon GO are much more common – the standard rate is believed to be around 1 in 500 . Many Pokémon have an even higher shiny rate: some perma-boosted Pokémon are around a 1/60 chance most legendaries in raids are around 1/20 chance and on Community Days, where one Pokémon appears everywhere in the wild, the shiny rate is around 1/25.

However, in Pokémon GO not every Pokémon can be shiny. When the game first launched no shinies were available. Over time, more and more Pokémon have become shiny-eligible. In most cases only the base form may be shiny in the wild – for example a Ratatta found in the wild could be shiny, but its evolution Raticate cannot. Sometimes those higher evos can be shiny in special raid events , and since the introduction of Mega Evolutions any Pokémon whose Mega has been released can be shiny, like Blastoise or Beedrill.

Below we display every shiny Pokémon sprite that is in Pokémon GO. You can compare with the Pokémon’s non-shiny sprite by tapping or hovering your mouse over it. Pokémon marked with a star* next to the name have had their shiny released. In total there are 558 shiny Pokémon available in the game.

Pokemon Go Shiny Pokemon Checklist: All Available Shinies Listed

As with pretty much everything in Pokemon Go, the shinies available changes on the regular based on what in-game events are currently taking place. It’s an ever-moving thing, though we’ve got the latest list of every Pokemon Go shiny creature thanks to LeekDuck of Leekduck.com. This image is really handy as it’s actually a physical checklist you can print and mark or mark using an image editor as you go – but if you want the scoop on how to catch each shiny Pokemon, scroll past the image to our text-based list.

On the list below, we’ve compiled every shiny Pokemon that can be naturally caught in the wild and listed it. We haven’t listed any evolutions available on this list directly: to get a shiny Ivysaur, for instance, you must get a shiny Bulbasaur first and evolve it twice. As such, on this list we’ve only noted how to catch shiny Bulbasaur.

Pokmon Go Fest 2021 Day Two: Raid

Pokémon GO Fest 2021 Day Two: Raid takes place on Sunday July 18, from 10:00 to 18:00 local time. Fans may be disappointed to hear that there is a whole day dedicated to raiding, but there are a host of incentives and opportunities to grab free raid passes to help you on your way.

  • Earn an extra 10,000 XP in raid rewards when you complete a Raid Battle
  • Spin Gym Photo Discs to earn up to 10 Raid Passes. These can be used for in-person raids
  • Complete Timed Research to earn up to eight Remote Raid Passes. These can be used to join a raid from anywhere
  • Pick up a free event bundle containing three Remote Raid Passes

Niantic hasnt revealed which Pokémon will be appearing in raids just yet, but promises some old favourites.

All Pokémon from day one will also be appearing more frequently throughout day two.

Over both days of the event, Lure Modules will last for three hours, Pokémon GO eggs will take half the usual distance to hatch, and exclusive Field Research tasks will be available to complete. Furthermore, turn that volume up because producer and Pokémon legend Junichi Masuda has created special music just for Pokémon GO Fest 2021.

Finally, Igglybuff, Chingling, Audino, and more will be hatching from 7km eggs over the weekend, and there will be a surprise encounter when you Snapshot a Pokémon.

Pokemon Go Shiny List: Full Shiny Checklist And How To Catch Shinies

As if trying to catch them all wasn’t enough, Pokemon Go trainers also have to worry about catching Shiny Pokemon. Luckily, we’ve got a shinies checklist listing every one currently available in Pokemon Go to help you keep track.

If you don’t know all about Shiny Pokemon, prepare yourself to open up a whole new world of creature catching. Shiny Pokemon are essentially extremely rare Pokemon that tend to have a different pigment or color to their regular counterparts. Sometimes a shiny Pokemon might simply be a slightly different tone of the same color, while other times a shiny will feature an entirely different, very unique color palette.

Shinies exist of every single species of Pokemon, but not all shinies have been made available in Pokemon Go yet. Instead, Pokemon Go shiny Pokemon have been making a slow-but-sure debut in the game, with the first being Shiny Magikarp, which was made available in March 2017. Anyway – here’s some key stuff to know about Shiny Pokemon before we get to the checklist…

When And How Every Shiny Was Added To Pokmon Go

New Pokémon Go shinies revealed in datamine

Magikarp and Gyarados: The first Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go were Magikarp and Gyarados in March 2017 which were a callback to what was, for most players, the first Shiny they ever caught: the Red Gyarados at Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal’s Lake of Rage.

Shiny Pikachu: August 2017’s Pokémon Go Park event in Japan revealed the second set of Shinies.

Those within the event radius had a chance of catching a Shiny Pikachu, which much like the Red Gyarados, could also be evolved into a shiny Raichu.

These have since been made available around the world, and was expanded on with a shiny hatted Pikachu as part of the 2018 Pokémon Day.

Shiny Gen 3 Ghosts: As the Halloween event in 2018 – which introduced the first Gen 3 creatures – rolled on, shiny variations of all five new creatures started to appear.

Here is a video of shiny Duskull in action:

Shiny Gen 3 Raids: With the arrival of 50 Gen 3 creatures in December 2017 came two Raid-specific catches, both of which offering Shiny versions. The remaining 48 also have Shiny models in the game code, though none have been found so far.

Otherwise, there are no other signs more Shinies will be added. The main games had shinies for every single creature, so there’s a chance every one in Pokémon Go will offer them at some point, but it makes sense Niantic would want to drip feed them for special occasions and make them more of an event.

Pokemon Go 2022 Roadmap Kicks Off With New Raids Shinies And New Year Festivities

The Pokemon Go 2022 roadmap is beginning to unfurl, with developer Niantic teasing several events and bonuses to come at the start of the year.

A variety of shiny Pokemon will be available throughout January 2022 via research, raid, and spotlight challenges. In fact, all but two of the month’s 10 featured Pokemon will occasionally spawn as shinies, so keep your eyes peeled.

As ever, raids will be one of the best ways to chase down specific Pokemon. Here’s the raid schedule for January 2022:

  • Until January 7: Five-star Kyurem
  • Until January 7: Mega Abomasnow

You’ll also find specific Pokemon in the spotlight every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm local time, each with their own catch bonuses. Look for Solosis on January 4, Diglett on January 11, Plusle on January 18, and Minun on January 25.

The next Pokemon Go Community Day is another roadmap highlight. The adorable Spheal will be featured come January 16, 2022, and if you raise it to a Walrein within two hours of the event ending, it will learn the Charged Attack Icicle Spear and the Fast Attack Powder Snow.

Smaller events tied to the ongoing Season of Heritage, like Mountains of Power and a mystery event “inspired by the Kanto Power Plant,” will fill out the month. The Pokemon Go New Year’s celebration will also start at 4pm local time Friday, December 31 and run through 8pm local time on January 4, so as usual there isn’t much downtime in Pokemon Go’s future.

What New Pokmon Go New Shinies Will Appear In The Season Of Mischief

Pokémon GO’s Season of Mischief has kicked off, and already it has introduced a shiny. Shiny Ditto was formerly only available through one Special Research, but now can appear in the wild and as your Research Breakthrough encounter. Make sure you’re up to date with the new Ditto disguises in Pokémon GO so you don’t miss the chance of grabbing the transforming blob.

Oshawott Community Day will also see the launch of shiny Oshawott, and with Inkay and Furfrou on their way in future events, there might be more shinies to catch before the season is out.

If You Catch A Shiny Pokmon Can It Turn Into A Shiny Ditto In Pokmon Go

No. Magikarp was removed from the Ditto potentials shortly after Shiny Magikarp became available, and the same has held true for other common Pokémon since. However, on February 20, 2021, the Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto event will unlock the remaining Gen 1 Shiny Pokémon, including Ditto. It is unclear if this means that Pokémon with the potential to be Shiny will be able to be Ditto or if Niantic will handle Shiny Ditto differently than other Shiny Pokémon.

During The Pokemon Go New Year’s Event Fearow Will Be Appearing More In The Wild Increasing The Chances Of A Trainer Coming Across A Shiny Fearow

THE LAST SAFARI ZONE QUARANTINE – NEW Shinies & NEW Pokémon (Pokémon GO)

Fearow is a normal-flying type Pokemon in Pokemon Go. It is the evolutionary form of Spearow. Fearow’s long next and elongated beak helps trainers in recognising the Pokemon. It has a maximum CP of 1,997 and catches its prey in soil or water. Pokemons such as Heraross, Breloom, Virizion, Lotad, Lombre, Paras, Parasect are vulnerable to Fearow. However, the Pokemon is weak against ice, electric and rock type Pokemons. Ahead of the New Year’s event in Pokemon Go, trainers are excited to find and catch the Pokemon. Additionally, they might be able to catch a Shiny Fearow during the event.

What Are Shiny Pokmon In Pokmon Go

Simply put, Shiny Pokémon are color variants. There is only one Shiny color variant per Pokémon. Some variants are obvious like Shiny Gyarados is red instead of blue. Others are more subtle, like Shiny Bulbasaur or Squirtle, which are the same color but slightly different shades. In the core games, every single Pokémon has a shiny variant, but in Pokémon Go, Shiny Pokémon are unlocked during Community Day, other events, or with updates.

If a Shiny isn’t unlocked, it doesn’t matter how many of that Pokémon you catch, you’ll never find a Shiny Pokémon. On the other hand, once unlocked Shiny Pokémon are far more common in Pokémon Go than they are in the core games, especially during events. Still, they’re pretty rare, so your best bet to finding Shiny Pokémon is to tap on every single Pokémon to spawn. Shiny checking takes time, but once you know which species can be Shiny, it is a lot easier.

Note: One other important thing to consider when Shiny Hunting, generally you cannot catch an evolved Shiny Pokémon. For example, if you tap on an Ivysaur on the map, it cannot be Shiny, even though Shiny Bulbasaur can be caught. There are rare events where this is not the case, and Mega Raids generally have the chance of being Shiny.

How To Catch Druddigon And Shiny Druddigon In Pokemon Go

Druddigon and Shiny Druddigon will be available in Pokemon Go during the Dragonspiral Descent event, and players will have five days to catch it and add the new shiny form to their collection.

Druddigon and Shiny Druddigon will be appearing only in Raids and available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks.

The Dragonspiral Descent event runs from December 7, 2021, to December 12, 2021. This is the perfect event to get the newly released Shiny Druddigon in the game.

Ok Fine Just Tell Me How To Catch ’em All

First, you have to find as many Pokémon as you can. That means finding spawns or nests where those types of Pokémon are common. Then tap, tap, tap away and see if you encounter a Shiny.

For eggs and babies, collect as many as you can. Walk as much as you can. And hatch, hatch, hatch.

For the Raid Pokémon, the story is the same. Find the Raids. Beat the Raid Boss. Hope the one you get is Shiny.

Field Research. Find the tasks that give you a Pokémon with a Shiny form, then work with your community to find the PokéStops giving away the right tasks, and then complete as many as you can.

Shiny Field Research Pokémon have a 0% flee rate, but for everything else, remember your basics:

  • ABC. Always be curving. Once you can nail Curve Ball every time, you’ll get a 1.7x bonus every time.
  • Max out your medals. Some are easier to get than others but they consume no resources like Great or Ultra Balls or Razz Berries, so once you get them, that 1.1x to 1.3x is automatically applied each time.
  • Consistency counts. Aim for the smallest target you can nail every time. If that’s Nice, it’s nice. If that’s Great or Excellent, even nicer. But better the bonus you get then one you miss, and that extra 1.3 to 2x also doesn’t consume resources and can make a difference.
  • Razz for real. Use Razz Berries when you need to. Unlike Great or Ultra Balls, you can’t miss with a Razz Berry and its 1.5x bonus will last until you hit. For the new Golden Razz Berries, it’s 2.5x!
  • Pokmon Go: Shiny Heatran Raid Counters

New Pokémon Go shinies revealed in datamine

Shiny Heatran is making a return to Raid Battles in January 2022. This gives Pokémon Go players the chance to find it by defeating it in battle.

Shiny Heatran is making a return in Raid Battles in Pokémon Go during January 2022. With the New Year right around the corner, Niantic has officially released its plans for January 2022. In an extensive blog post, trainers will be able to see all upcoming Raid Battles, Eggs, encounters, and upcoming special events. One of the interesting inclusions for January is the return of Heatran in Raid Battles. It will appear from Friday, January 7, 2022, to Saturday, January 15, 2022.

This will leave players a bit over a week to find and capture Heatran in Pokémon Go. There was an older Shiny Heatran Raid event that occurred in January 2020, but finding a Shiny Heatran now is still considered incredibly rare. Pokémon Go players are recommended to power up their counters as much as possible for this raid battle. While using a Shadow Shadow Pokémon with their moves unlocked is preferred, there are other counters players can use in raid battles.

Pokemon Go Shinies: How To Get Shiny Pokemon And Other Advice

Okay, so, you want Shiny Pokemon. Well… keep in mind, it’s difficult. Shiny Pokemon are supposed to be rare, and so that means that they’re extraordinarily difficult to find. If you’ve been trying to track down a rare Pokemon in the wild such as a Ditto, imagine that spawn rate but drastically reduced.

Typically, Pokemon Go shiny Pokemon come to you through one of a few different ways:

    • In the Wild: Some shiny Pokemon appear in the wild, and any time you encounter a wild Pokemon of that type there is a tiny, tiny chance that Pokemon could come out as a shiny.
    • At Gym Raids: Other shinies are only found during Pokemon Go Raids – so when you win a raid encounter at a gym, there’s a chance the Pokemon you’ll be able to catch afterwards could be shiny.
    • From Eggs: Some shiny Pokemon are exclusive to eggs – so you might get lucky when you hatch a Pokemon egg.
    • From Community Days: The monthly Pokemon Go Community days always offer up a limited number of increased spawns for the chosen Pokemon – and that usually includes a bonus to the shiny spawn rate.
    • From Field Research:Pokemon Go’s Field Research system often offers encounters as a reward – and some of those encounters have a chance to be shiny.

Catching shiny Pokemon in the wild is hugely rare, and there’s no real way to game that. With that said, there’s some additional tips you should be aware of when considering how to catch shinies:

The Best Heatran Raid Counters In Pokmon Go

    • Garchomp: Mud Shot and Earth Power
    • Rhyperior: Mud-Slap and Earthquake
    • Therian Landorus: Mud Shot and Earthquake
    • Landorus: Mud Shot and Earth Power
    • Groudon: Mud Shot and Earthquake
    • Excadrill: Mud-Slap and Drill Run

Since Heatran is a Fire/Steel-type Pokémon, it has a massive weakness to Ground-type attacks. Bringing along Pokémon with Fighting or Water-type moves will also work well for this battle. Since this is a five-star Raid Battle, players should aim to team up with a group of at least five players. Any fewer might make the battle impossible to beat. After that, trainers just need to hope the odds are on their side to find a Shiny Heatran.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android.
