Regardless of which Eeveelution your rival chooses, they will have an incredibly powerful team. Given that your rival in;Pokemon Yellow;chose Eevee as their starter, it could be the case that both of the new versions will follow suit. Perhaps your rival in;Pokemon Lets Go Eevee;will choose Pikachu, and your rival in;Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu;will choose Eevee. This would make perfect sense, given that your rival could either base their team around their Eeveelution, or around yours.
If this is the case, choosing;Lets Go Eevee;could give you a way of deciding your rivals team, whereas choosing;Lets Go Pikachu;will cause your rival to base their team on whatever final form of Eevee they get. This is just speculative, but;Pokemon Yellow;is the closest thing weve ever seen to the;Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu;vs;Eevee;games.

I don’t know about Eevee moves but Zippy Zap for Pikachu has cleared out a lot of battles for me.
Eevee gets a move for every type it can become. Eevee is so broken
I’d personally say eevee. Eevee’s tail is more visible when wagging to show you item locations, there are outfits for every eeveelution, and she’s just the cutest little thing. One of those is obviously an opinion. But just jump to whatever draws you in. You’ll have a blast either way.
When you evolve Eevee does it follows you?
Pikachu has Sandshrew, Growlithe, Mankey, Grimer, Scyther, and Oddish. Eevee has Ekans, Vulpix, koffing, Pinsir and Bellsprout. Pikachu only gets a couple of new moves…but Eevee gets a whole list of new moves that cover pretty much any type. The Eevee starter is better competitively.
I got Pikachu because I prefer Growlithe and Vileplume . Also Pikachu over Eevee as a starter.
I have both versions and personally I prefer the eevee version. Like others on here have said, eevee’s tail wagging is much easier to see when looking for hidden items, and eevee has more special moves that it can learn. Aside from that, I couldn’t say which is “better”, they’re both exactly the same game aside from a few pokemon being specific to each version.
What Pokemon Are In Let’s Go
Masuda confirmed that the first 150 Pokemon as well as their Alolan forms from Sun and Moon would appear in Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. We don’t know yet if you’ll unlock an expanded Pokedex when beating the game, like in the remakes of previous generations. Additionally, each version has slightly different Pokemon available .
Eevee’s prominence in these games doesn’t come as a surprise; Eevee has been heavily featured with Pikachu in several recent Pokemon Center merchandise series, the most recent of which, Saiko Soda, is currently only available in Japan. Eevee was also your rival’s starter Pokemon in Pokemon Yellow, which makes it the natural “opposite” of Pikachu for the two Let’s Go versions.
During Nintendo’s E3 2018 presentation, it was confirmed that Mew would be available in the Let’s Go games via the Poke Ball Plus controller. Every Poke Ball Plus will come with a Mew already stored on the device, and this is the only way to get Mew in the Let’s Go games– you won’t be able to transfer Mew from Pokemon Go to Let’s Go.
You Can Catch The Kanto Starters In The Wild
Though it makes sense when you think about it, this is worth a special mention–you’ll be able to catch the Kanto starters in the wild in the Let’s Go games. During a hands-on demo, we caught both a Pikachu and a Bulbasaur in the new Viridian Forest. While Pikachu was found there in the original Red and Blue, Bulbasaur were not found in the wild previously.

How Does Transferring Pokemon From Go Work
The Let’s Go games connect to Pokemon Go via Bluetooth, and the ability to transfer Pokemon from Go is unlocked as you progress through Let’s Go. Once you transfer a Pokemon, it is sent to a specific area called Go Park where you then have to catch it. We don’t yet know how stats will transfer .
Masuda did confirm that Pokemon that are shiny in Go will remain shiny in Let’s Go. That’s a big deal, since certain Pokemon Go events make shiny Pokemon far more common than they ever would be in the main Pokemon games. However, any Pichu, Pikachu, or Raichu with special hats in Go cannot be transferred to Let’s Go.

In theory, the cynics certainly had a leg to stand on -;Pokemon is a game that appeals to both young and old fans alike, and has possessed remarkable depth in gameplay for decades now, hidden under the surface for those who want to make the game into something more competitive and grindy.
In practice however,;Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!;and;Let’s Go, Eevee! are triumphs of a modern age that is less interested in repetition for hours on end and instead wants some more light-hearted fare.;Pokemon: Let’s Go is obviously meant to bridge the gap between those familiar with the series only through;Pokemon GO and those who have already journeyed throughout the various regions of;Pokemon handheld titles in the past, and it succeeds marvelously, with most of its simplified systems actually producing better gameplay experiences than they have achieved in the past.

Lets Go Pikachu: Your Own Eevee
If you dont want to choose between Eevee and Pikachu and are okay with one that you cant dress up, then do keep in mind that there are other Eevees you can get in both versions. Going to Route 17, you will be able to find them in both Lets Go games, but with a rare rate of showing up.
Theyre hard to find, but you arent completely locked off from Eevees if you go with Lets Go, Pikachu. Also, unlike the starter Eevee, you can evolve captured Eevees regardless of your game into Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon too.
Lets Go Eevee: Alolan Vulpix And Alolan Meowth
Lets Go, Eevee has its own in-game trades for Alolan versions, but these revolve around its version-exclusive Pokémon. The first of these is Alolan Meowth, who evolves into Alolan Persian and is the only pure Dark-type in the Let’s Go games.

Second is Alolan Vulpix, who is both Ice-type and Fairy-type and evolves into the fast and powerful Ninetales. This is an especially strong Pokémon and has two types that are quite rare throughout the rest of the game, and worth going after if you have this version.

Lets Go Pikachu: Exclusive Pokmon
The most common differences in any Pokémon game are the Pokémon themselves, as some species are only available in Lets Go, Pikachu that you cannot find in Lets Go, Eevee, and vice-versa. For Lets Go, Pikachu this includes the Sandshrew, Oddish, Growlithe, Mankey, Grimer, and Scyther families.
If you do wish to truly catch em all, you can always trade with friends to get these. But if any of them are your favorites and you want to include in your team, youll have to make some choices.
Is There Trading And Do They Connect To Pokemon Bank
Masuda confirmed that you will be able to trade Pokemon between the Let’s Go games. Transferring Pokemon from Go only works in the one direction. When asked about Pokemon Bank, he said he could not comment; he also did not comment on whether the Let’s Go games would be compatible with present or future Pokemon games.

Eevee: A Partner Eevee
If you pick up Lets Go, Eevee!, the fluffy Eevee will, of course, be your partner. Its a fan favorite; with all the Eevee merch and fanart floating about, its no wonder this little cutie finally got a moment in the spotlight. Eevee may be a normal type, but with the special moves it can learn from Move Tutors, it sure can pack a punch!
Its worth noting that your partner Pokémon in either game cannot evolve, so that might factor into your decision of which one to buy. If you remember The Battling Eevee Brothers episode of the anime, youll know that Eevee is more than wonderful without the need to evolve. We love you, Eevee!
Lets Go Pikachu: Alolan Sandshrew And Alolan Grimer
The exclusive Pokémon dont stop with what you can capture. Lets Go, Pikachu & Lets Go, Eevee also features lots of in-game trades where you give a Pokémon to an NPC in exchange for one that might be rarer. To make these even more special, some alternate-typed species from Pokémon Sun & Moon are available that you cannot trade for in Lets Go, Eevee.
For Lets Go, Pikachu, this includes the Ice-type Alolan Sandshrew, who evolves into Sandslash and is one of the only Steel-type Pokémon in the game. You also can trade for Alolan Grimer, who gains the equally elusive Dark-type in addition to Poison.

The Nostalgia Bucket Loads Of Charm
It’s really hard not to feel the pull of enchanting familiarity as you play.
Newcomers and those who have been out of the Pokémon loop for a few years will likely enjoy Let’s Go as a gradual way to get back into the games. The Pokédex only has slots for the first 151 Pokémon from Gen 1, so you’ll start off with what you’re already familiar with. This also keeps the type system from getting too complicated for newcomers who are unfamiliar with Pokémon’s current combat system. As expected, some of the Pokémon are exclusive to one game or the other, so you’ll have to trade with someone who has the other version in order to complete your Pokédex.
You’ll also face off against all of the original gym leaders, including Brock and Misty. And of course, Team Rocket is up to their old tricks with Jesse and James popping up throughout the land. This addition makes the games feel even more like a Pokémon Yellow remake. It’s really hard not to feel the pull of enchanting familiarity as you see these gorgeous renditions of an 8-bit game you played as a child.
What’s Similar To Previous Games
If you’ve ever played a Pokémon video game before, the first few steps like naming your character or choosing your gender and skin tone are the same so things will feel very familiar. After exploring your home a little, you’ll try to leave town only to run into Professor Oak, go back to his lab, and get your first Pokémon a Pikachu in “Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!”or an Eevee in“Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!”. Both versions still feel generally like a Pokémon game and you’ll immediately know what’s going to happen and when, but now you’ll get to see it play out on your TV in beautifully rendered 3-D graphics.
There are slight changes to the game that make it easy for newbies to catch on quick, but there are more similarities than there are differences. You’ll still fight Team Rocket, battle gym leaders, and make your way through the Elite Four. Eventually, you’ll still be able to catch the ultra-rare Mewtwo and attempt to complete your Pokédex. You’ll also get the opportunity to train and evolve the original three starters, so if you’re a fan of Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur, don’t feel like they’re absent from the game.

And for newcomers, its all very confusing, Im sure. So I wanted to take a little bit to answer the question of should I get Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu or Eevee, in all its forms.
First up, is whether the game is for you at all. For that you can read through our review. There youll see that Pokemon Lets Go isnt really aimed at the longtime, hardcore fan of the series. Instead this experience serves as an intro to the deeper, more mechanically intense main series for those whove never played before, or joined in with Pokemon GO. Mixing main series elements with GO mechanics has crafted a simplified and streamlined adventure that newcomers will surely find more accessible than the main series. Those hardcore fans might get frustrated with how easy everything is though.
Now onto the second part of that question, which is basically boiled down to which version to get: Pikachu or Eevee. The simple answer is to get the one whose mascot you prefer. Depending on which you buy, either Pikachu or Eevee will be your steadfast companion throughout the game. Theyll have exclusive moves and sit on your shoulder, and you can even dress them up. So if you love Pikachu or Eevee more then go for whichever that is.
Where To Find Evolution Stones In Pokmon Lets Go Pikachu And Eevee
To get your hands on Evolution Stones in the Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee games, you will first have to earn some money. You can earn quick cash by taking on rival Pokémon Trainers in the world or defeating powerful Gym Leaders, with Brock and Misty the top two.
After saving some money, youll have to head to Celadon City, something that will happen after youve spent ten or twelve hours in Pokemon Lets Go, after youve seen Team Rocket capture a Cubone in Lavender Town. You will have to go to the Department Store in Celadon Town, which is in the northwest corner of the small town.
Inside the store itself, go to the fourth floor: Wiseman Gifts. At the one-stop shop on the floor, you can buy several Evolution Stones for almost all types of Pokémon in the game. Below, we will describe each Evolution Stone, detailing its price:

New Mechanics Motion Controls Rides And Secret Techniques
As I mentioned before, you no longer fight every wild Pokémon you encounter. Taking cues from Pokémon Go, the Let’s Go games have you either press a button or move your Joy-Con in a throwing motion when it comes time to toss a Poké Ball. If you throw your Poké Ball at the right moment when the ring around the targets face gets smaller, you’ll be more likely to catch it and receive better bonuses. I personally found the motion controls a bit wonky here so I preferred playing in handheld mode since aiming and throwing was a lot easier that way.
One of the things I love the most is being able to ride some of my favorite Pokémon, like Arcanine, Charizard, or Onix. There are 19 Pokémon you can ride and they move faster than if you were to walk around on your own. The trade off is that there aren’t any bicycles in the game. But, for me, riding atop my favorite beasts is way better than peddling on my own.
In addition to catching mechanics, Instead of teaching various Pokémon traditional moves like Cut, Fly, and Surf, I was suprised to discover that the starter Pokémon learns Secret Techniques, which basically are the same things. When a tree blocks your way, Pikachu will chop it down. Need to fly to a different city? Eevee will pull out a strange balloon contraption for you to travel in. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this as first, however, I’ve since determined that these mechanics make your special starter a little more endearing as the game goes on.
Lets Go Eevee: Your Starting Partner Eevee
If you want a starting partner thats fully new to;being a starter;in the series, Lets Go, Eevee replaces that Pikachu with the normal-type Eevee. This furry fox was the starter Pokémon for your rival in the original Pokémon Yellow, but now you finally get your turn.

Its important to know that neither the Eevee or the Pikachu in the Lets Go games can evolve, so if you choose this one be warned that you wont have access to Eevees eight evolutions. Nonetheless, if you want to start a Kanto adventure with a Pokémon thats never been given to you from the start, this game will suit you best.

Lets Go Eevee: Your Own Pikachu
Just like the other game, you arent unable to find your own Pikachu if you decide to go with Lets Go, Eevee. You wont be able to dress it up or teach it special moves, but just like the original games, Pikachu is available early in the game in Viridian Forest. Much like Eevee, it has a rare appearance rate, but with how large the forest is youre bound to find one soon.
Much like captured Eevees in either game, you can also evolve captured Pikachus into Raichus freely, regardless of which game you’re playing. Your starter Pokémon is the only one you own that must remain in its adorable pre-evolved form.
