How to get Bottle Caps While you Sleep! Money & More! – Pokemon Sword & Shield

Hyper TrainingIf you have played Pokemon Sun and Moon before you should be familiar with the concept. With Hyper training, you essentially bring out the best in your Pokemon by increasing his Individual Values.

Even if your Pokemon is maxed out at Level 100, certain aspects of its abilities can hold him back from winning certain battles, to eliminate that factor, it is recommended that you bring the BEST out of your Pokemon through Hyper Training.

The Max IV stat is 31, and when you hyper train a stat, it will show it as Hyper Trained instead of 31, which means the same thing. But before you can unlock the feature, you have to have completed the following pre-requisites.

  • You must have beaten the Galar League and become the Champion.
  • Pokemon that will go through Hyper Training MUST be Level 100.
  • You will need Bottle Caps and Gold Bottle Caps in order to Hyper Train.

Once you beat the game, and you want to raise your Pokemons IV stats, you are going to need Bottle Caps.

A normal Bottle Cap will max out one IV of your Pokemon whereas a Golden Bottle Cap will simply max out all the IV stats of that Pokemon.

Where do I go for Hyper Training? The NPC, Mr. Hyper, can be found in Wyndon within the Battle Tower. He is located behind the counter, towards the farthest right.

If you have completed all the pre-requisites mentioned above, you will be able to put your Pokemon through an intense workout regime.

What Is Perfect Iv Sword

This is why catching Pokémon with high IVs or breeding them is so important in Pokémon Sword and Shield. IVs can range from 0-31, with 31 being considered perfect. Most Pokémon that you come across will have average stats, but catching Pokémon through Max Raids can lead to some pretty outstanding IVs.

How To Get Bottle Caps In Pokemon Sword And Shield

Bottle Caps can be obtained through a number of different methods:

  • Purchase from Battle Tower
  • Rare prize from Max Raid Battles
  • Random prize from Digging Duo skilled brother
  • Rare find for level 70-100 Pokemon with Pickup ability
  • Cram-o-Matic prize
  • Daily highlighted item for Crown Tundra Watt Trader

While Bottle Caps can be found in a number of different ways, only two of these methods can be effectively, reliably, and affordably done. Purchasing them from the Battle Tower is by far the most efficient method as they cost a modest 25 BP. BP can be obtained through a number of different means, with the best being grinding in the Battle Tower or on ranked matchmaking.

The Digging Duo is another option, depending on the spending habits of the player. If the player has a surplus of Watts, the currency used in the Wild Area and DLC regions, hiring the skilled brother can yield both Bottle Caps and Gold Bottle Caps. Unless the player has an abundance of Watts this wont necessarily yield a huge number of caps, but it is an option for those who have been frequently jumping into Max Raid Battles.

There are a few ways in which you can get Bottle Caps. You will receive them as rewards for reaching certain Battle Tower Tiers, you can buy them with BP at the Battle Tower, you can get them for defeating difficult Max Raid Battles, and you can get them from the Digging Duo in the Wild Area.

Gold Bottle Caps are far more difficult to get hold of than regular Bottle Caps. Wed recommend, therefore, that you should go speak to the left of the pair of the Digging Duo in the Wild Area. You will find the Digging Duo nearby to the nursery.

Getting the Digging Duo to dig for treasure for you will cost 500 Watts, but it will give you the chance to earn some Bottle Caps and potential Gold Bottle Caps. Speaking to the Digging Duo guy on the left will at least offer more of a chance of receiving Bottle Caps, so speak to him, wed argue.

How To Get And Use Gold Bottle Caps In Pokmon Sword And Shield

Bottle caps are a useful currency in Pokémon Sword and Shield because they allow you to Hyper Train any of your level 100 Pokémon. You can find them from several methods, such as buying them from a Battle Point vendor at the Battle Tower, seeing them after beating Max Level Raids, through the Digging Duo, and competitive Ranked Matches. Sometimes, you might be lucky and discover a gold bottle cap.

Gold bottle caps are different from traditional bottle caps because you can use them with the Hyper Trainer to maximize all of the Individual Values of a Pokémon, rather than a single one. You need to have a level 100 Pokémon to do this, though. The Hyper Trainer is in the Battle Tower, on the right side. Speak to them if you have a regular or gold bottle cap to make your Pokémon that much stronger.

Getting gold bottle caps is no easy task, though. Youll find yourself hard-pressed to locate them. You can find them through the conventional means of regular bottle caps, but you have the odds stacked against you.

You cannot purchase them from the BP Vendor at the Battle Tower. You need to reach a high enough rank in the Battle Tower challenge to receive one for a reward, and its a top-ranking, so youll need to do plenty of practice before you find a gold bottle cap in your inventory.

Reliably, youll want to go through the Battle Tower challenge to see how far you get. The higher you go, the more chances you have adding gold bottle caps to your inventory.

Pokemon Sword & Shield Cram

Some other Cram-o-Matic recipes we’ve found have worked are below – but obviously this list isn’t anything like exhaustive, as there’s a ridiculous number of possibilities.

The best thing to do with this feature is experiment, just as we have – and even then, there may be a further element of random chance to this mechanic which means you might not be guaranteed the same item from the same recipe every time.

We’re still figuring it out – so consider this list advice, not iron-clad. There are seemingly multiple recipes to get every item, and sometimes the order in which you feed stuff to the Cram-o-Matic impacts the outcome. Additionally, item order matters in some cases, so if you don’t get what you were expecting, try out a different order.

We want to hear about your Cram-o-Matic experimentation, too. If you get anything cool, tell us the recipe in the comments!

TRs can be used to teach moves to your Pokemon – and you can actually obtain some of these through the Cram-o-Matic. Many TRs were only available previously via difficult max raid battles, so this is a great new optiont o have. Here’s some recipes for TRs using the Cram-o-Matic that we’ve discovered.
