Theres no easy way to grind Stardust, but making the most of your Star Pieces will be your best bet. Community Day events are a good source of Stardust, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Events that feature 2x and 4x Stardust rewards.

Use 200 Super-effective Charged Attacks

Gym battles: if possible, pair up with a few friends who are on a different team, take over a Gym, throw your Pokémon in and let your friends battle them down. Rinse and repeat while alternating Gym ownership.

Raid battles, Go League battles and Go Rocket takeovers are also a good place to use SE charge moves. Make sure to have a Pokémon with a super effective charged attack handy for this to count.

Catch 5 Legendary Pokémon

What it says on the tin really. This will either take you an hour if you have Premium Raid passes during a Raid Hour event, or 5 days if you are a Free-to-Play player.

The Effect Of Pokmon Level

A Pokémons level determines how much of its potential it is allowed to fulfill. It limits how strong it is now, compared to how strong that same Pokémon potentially could be. It is currently the only thing that you can change about a Pokémons fighting ability once you have caught it.

We have mentioned that every Pokémon only has three types of stats in the game: Stamina, Attack, and Defense. Each of those three stats is comprised of three things: Base Stats, Individual Values, and Level. We have mentioned Base Stats above, which are the same throughout every species of Pokémon. We will not delve into Individual Values here, which have a minimal effect that can cause one Bulbasaur to be a little stronger than another. But our focus is on Level. Once the Base Stats and IVs have been added together, the main thing that determines the CP of a Pokémon is its Level.

Reaching Level 40 In 2 3 Years

A casual Pokemon Go player who spends 1-2 hours per week playing Pokemon Go will reach Level 40 in 2 or 3 Years and thats with all the x2 and/or x3 XP events.

Reaching Level 40 is a goal for many Pokemon Go players, but please have in mind that Level 40 doesnt mean that your account is the strongest and no one can beat you it means that youve only reached a number and nothing else. What matters are the Pokedex, Pokemon CP and Pokemon movesets.

What If I Want A New Buddy

To replace your Buddy, click on the Trainer avatar picture on the main screen, then tap the Pokemon Buddy on the Trainer profile screen. After that, tap the Swap icon on the lower right. You’ll get a message that asks if you’re absolutely sure you want to swap buddies. Tap Yes, if you’re a fair weather friend. But beware; you’ll lose any progress you have made if with your Buddy if you swap too soon! You’ll want to swap Pokemon Buddies out after walking the full distance for a Candy. Also, you should not evolve your Buddy, at least not until after you’re done walking and collecting Candy for it. When you evolve your Pokemon, that creature’s Candy resets. So, to repeat: Do. Not. Evolve. Your. Buddy. Wait until you got enough Candy, then evolve.

Used Incense Then You Gotta Move

Wily Reddit users found a way into the games code to figure out how Incense works. In case you need a reminder, Incense covers your Trainer in a pink, fluffy fragrance that attracts wild Pokemon to your location for 30 minutes. But you cant just be complacent and sit there waiting for Pokemon. If you stay still, youll only see one Pokemon every five minutes, which isnt a great way to spend your time. Instead, take a walk and youll lure one Pokemon every 200 meters.

If you want to rest on your laurels, then the Lunar Module is the item you want. It acts the same as the incense, except it attracts Pokemon to your position. A nice option for those who dont feel like huffing down the block on a hot summer day.

Joining A Raid Battle

Raid battles are arguably Pokemon Gos biggest feature. Once you hit level 20, you can access raid events in which a powerful Boss Pokemon appears at certain times of the day. If there’s a raid happening close to you, you get a notification and have the chance to join. But if you walk right up to a gym, youll be disappointed when the bouncer at the door asks for a Raid Pass or Premium Raid Pass and you don’t have one. These can be gotten by going to a gym and spinning the photo disc. Only one raid pass can be used per day, otherwise, you need to purchase a Premium Raid Pass from the shop to participate in raid battles more often.

But Wait What The Heck Is A Lucky Egg

It’s an egg that’s lucky! Really, it’s filled with happiness and most importantly, grants you double the amount of experience points you can gain for 30 minutes at a time. You can only buy these in the Shop, with Coins. If you’ve got a couple Pokemon you’re almost ready to evolve, save up those candies until you’ve got a Lucky Egg, then evolve them all one after another while the Lucky Egg’s dank XP aura is in the air to double down on that extra CP and XP.

Pokemon Go Level 30 Rewards New Team

Go for walks! No, really, now that you have a designated Buddy you should go on strolls. Similar to egg-hatching, you can gain Candy for your buddy the more kilometers you rack up. Interestingly, different Pokemon require you walk different distances. For example, you need to walk 3 kilometers before you get a Candy for Slowpoke. You only get one candy after walking that specific distance, though. You can find out more about your Buddy’s progress by tapping the Trainer profile icon, then tapping the top of the screen, where your Trainer and Buddy are hanging out. At the top of the screen you’ll see the total distance traveled. In the middle, you’ll see your Buddy . At the bottom, there’s a gauge that shows how far you still need to walk for a Candy.

Levelling up in Pokémon Go is crucial to catching higher-CP Pokémon and forming the ultimate team to take down rival gyms . While its reasonably easy to gain experience points from hatching eggs, catching Pokémon or evolving them, its never been very clear what each level grants you access to, or rewards you with when you level up.

Currently, little is known about the upper echelons of level rewards, with the highest-level Pokémon Go player sitting at the incredibly high level of 30. We do know, thanks to hackers cracking open the games code, that the current level cap is 40 and that Pokémon stop becoming stronger once you pass level 30.

For those of you still working your way up through the level ranks, heres a list of each of the level unlocks and rewards from level 1 through to the mysteries of level 40.

Defeat 100 Team GO Rocket Grunts

Make sure to battle every Grunt balloon you see and every PokéStop takeover for this one. Also, be sure to catch and purify each Shadow Pokémon you save before transferring as this will help with the next step.

Purify 100 Shadow Pokémon

A fairly boring and tedious task, but if you heed my advice from the Defeat 100 Team GO Rocket grunts task, you should complete this one at the same time. Keep at it, you will get there eventually.

Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 50 times

Unfortunately, there isnt any quick way to get through this challenge. If you battle each of your GO Rocket Grunt Balloons every day, you can aim to defeat 2-3 Rocket Leaders per week.

However, battling random Grunts at PokéStop takeovers will speed this up. Keep battling, grabbing those mysterious components and hopefully within a few weeks you can tick this one off the list.

Earn 10 Platinum Medals

As crazy as it sounds, this is probably one of the easier requirements for this level. If you have been playing the game for a while then you may notice that some of your gold medals are sparkling. This means that youve earned the Platinum Medal for that particular challenge. Keep playing, focus on a particular Medal and storm through it.

How To Manage Motivation

So youve captured the gym and put your best team in it. Youre set, right? Theres no way someone is going to take it from you. That used to be the case, but with the latest update things have changed. Now you have to take into account motivation, which is your Pokemons willingness to fight translated in combat power. Every day you hold a gym, the CP of your Pokemon drops. Once it hits zero, your Pokemon get kicked out of the gym unless you feed berries to each one holding it. To make matters worse, Pokemon with CP above 3,000 lose motivation faster. This ensures a more dynamic map, but also makes it harder to hold gyms. Thats why youll want to keep yourself well stocked with berries so you can keep your Pokemon in fighting shape.

How To Increase Pokmon Level

As we reported back on June 7th, ;it is possible for you to increase the Level of your Pokémon by using Stardust and Candy to Power Up. We have learned much more information since this outdated beta article. We now know that every time that you Power Up, the only affect that it has is an increase of 0.5 to your Pokémon Level. This means that you must Power Up your Pokémon two times to increase it by one Pokémon Level. The maximum that you can Power Up your Pokémon is to 1.5 Levels above your current Trainer Level. After that point, you will receive the error message seen here, warning that you cannot Power Up the Pokémon further until you get a higher Trainer Level, yourself. Ensuring that a trainers Pokémon Level always stays below their own Trainer Level is how the game maintains a system of progression that makes sense. You have to get stronger one level at a time, in order for your Pokémon to get stronger. In the main-series games, this goal was accomplished by Gym Badges. If a Pokémon was stronger than it should be for the number of Gym Badges that you had managed to obtain, it might not listen to you in battle. When trading is released, I imagine that you might not be able to trade someone a Pokémon that has a Level higher than their own Trainer Level.
