Tips For Collecting Coins

Once the trainer has reached level 5 and chosen a Gym Team, the player can head to either an unclaimed Gym or Gym of the same color, and help defend the gym by placing a Pokemon in the gym.

Once any amount of Pokemon are placed into gyms to defend, you must check the Shop page and look for a shield icon in the top right. The number inside will list the number of Pokemon you have defending gyms, and once every 21 hours, a Defender Bonus will reward the player with PokeCoins and Stardust, increasing the amount for each additional Pokemon currently defending a gym.

If you’re not interested in Gyms, you’re going to have to go to the Shop for Coins. So if you’re planning on playing Pokemon Go for free and you’re interested in any optional Items you’re eventually going to have to get into Gyms, at least in a defensive capacity.

How Do You Find The Rare Pokmon In Your Area

Pokémon Go now includes two distinct forms of detecting the Pokémon in your immediate vicinity. The first is Nearby, which shows you Pokémon hanging around the PokéStops in your immediate vicinity. The second is Sightings, which shows you the Pokémon hiding anywhere close by, ready to spawn.

The Pokémon tab at the bottom right of your travel screen shows you up to three Pokémon. Tap on it, and you’ll see up to nine. Depending on what’s in your area, they’ll be all Nearby, all Sightings, or a mix of both.

Neither Nearby or Sightings shows you every Pokémon around you. If there are a lot of PokéStops in your area and a lot of Pokémon loitering at those Stops, Nearby will only show you one or two from each Stop. Same with Sightings.

Theoretically, rare Pokémon will be highlighted so you don’t miss them. Theoretically.

Can I Optimize Egg Hatching And What’s A Kilometer

While visiting Pokestops, you’ll probably pick up some eggs, from which Pokemon hatch. But first, you need to incubate them, and then walk around. To do that, go to your Pokemon collection, and in the upper-right you’ll see an Eggs tab. Tap that, choose an egg, then an incubator. Then you walk around and wait for the hatch.Here’s some advice: Don’t waste your time incubating the 2K eggs unless you really want more low-level Pokemon . The 5K eggs can net you some decent monsters, such as Cubone, Porygon, Machops, or Sandshrew. The 10K eggs get you more powerful, uncommon ones like Snorlax. Catching: Always Be Curving

Throwing a Curve Ball in Pokémon Go gives you a 1.7x bonus to catching a Pokémon.

The 1.7x bonus for a Curve Ball is higher than the 1.5x bonus you get for using a Razz Berry or switching to a Great Ball, and it consumes no resources. It’s also cumulative, so if you do use a Razz Berry or Great or Ultra Ball, you get a 1.7x bonus for curving on top of the bonus for the Berry or better Ball. It’s basically free bonus. All you have to do is get good at throwing it.

Each Pokémon has one or two types, and each type has a medal. Typically, if you catch 10 of the same type, you get a bronze medal. Catch 50, and you get a silver medal. Catch 200, and you get a gold medal. Why bother? Bronze medal earns you an extra 1.1x bonus for catching Pokémon. Silver gets you a 1.2x bonus, and gold gets you 1.3x. It’s not as high as a Curve Ball bonus, but it’s also effortless once you have it. And any bonus you get to catching that Dragonite might matter!

Bonuses stack together, so if you use a Razz Berry, then throw a Curve Ultra Ball at a Pokémon you have Gold Medal for, and hit the Excellent Bonus, you catch rate multiplies through the roof.

Updates have introduced multiple types of berries that each have different effects.Nanab Berries: Use these berries to slow down a wild Pokemon’s movements. Strategic use of these can be key to capturing a particularly elusive ‘Mon.Pinap Berries: These double the amount of Candy you get as a reward if your next attempt to capture a Pokemon succeeds. It’s a bit of a risk though, because if you fail to capture your next target the berry goes to waste.Razz Berries: Mechanics haven’t changed here. Razz Berries can still be fed to a wild Pokemon to make it easier to catch.Golden Razz Berries: Like their less shiny cousins, the Golden Razz Berries have the same function of making it easy to capture wild Pokemon, but are much more powerful.You can use berries in tandem with a stronger Pokeball to catch particularly feisty or extremely rare Pokemon that cross your path. Lick and Shadow Claw are mostly interchangeable, but either one should be paired with Shadow Ball. Mega Gengar is so strong that it actually ranks as one of the best Dark-type attackers, too. It’ll be joined eventually by Mega Sableye and Mega Banette, but neither should pose much of a threat to M-Gengar’s top spot.

Chandelure, the Ghost/Fire-type from Gen V, was a fantastic Ghost-type then, and it is in Pokemon GO, too. It ranks high for both DPS and TDO, and its type combination is both useful and interesting. It makes for one of the best Ghost-type attackers, as well as one of the best Fire-type attackers, giving it some use for either function. Fore pure damage-per-second, it ranks third, and for total damage output, fifth. Plus, the fact that it doesn’t need to be Shadow or Mega Evolved is very, very nice.

Collecting Items At Pokstops

Pokémon Go is based on another popular Niantic game called Ingress. Both titles encourage players to explore the world around them, rewarding them with virtual items when they reach real-life landmarks highlighted by the app. In Ingress, these points of interests are called portals in Pokémon Go, theyre called Pokéstops. Niantic used a small subset of the location data from Ingress as the basis for Pokéstops in Pokémon Go.

Pokéstops are marked on the games map with a floating blue cube. Tapping them will show more details about the landmark, including a photo. Players can only collect items if they are close enough to the PokéStop . If the app deems youre close enough, swipe the image of the landmark to spin it, and itll spit out three or more items. When you claim items from a PokéStop, the icon turns from blue to purple, but PokéStops refresh about every five minutes so you can return to collect more items.

For players who are just getting started, most of the items available at PokéStops are Pokéballs and the occasional egg. Eggs, when placed in an egg incubator, will hatch into Pokémon after players have traveled a certain distance. All players start with one egg incubator, and an additional one can be purchased with PokéCoins.

How Does Battling Work

Fighting in Pokemon Go is a bigger mess than Brock’s love life. You’re supposed to be able to swipe left and right to dodge the incoming attacks of opposing Pokemon. Assembling a strong team is agood start, but you’ll need to outperform your opponent in battle to win. You’ll have only a limited number of Protect Shields to usein a Trainer Battle, and how you use them will have a huge impact on whetheryou win or lose. Protect Shields can block your opponent’s Charged Attacks, butyou won’t have enough to defend all your Pokémon. Be smart about when you useProtect Shieldsif your active Pokémon is already about to be knocked out, orif it’s healthy and resists your opponent’s Charged Attacks, you probably don’tneed to use a Protect Shield. But if your active Pokémon is vital to defeatingthe rest of your opponent’s team, you should defend it with a Protect Shield.

On offense, you’ll want to force your opponent to use theirProtect Shields as quickly as you can to remove their ability to defend. Lineup Charged Attacks that are sure to deal huge damage. Try to maintain matchupswhere you’ll be able to use a supereffective Charged Attackor at least onethat matches your Pokémon’s type and isn’t resisted by the opponent’s type.

Pokemon Go: Best Fighting

Fighting is currently one of the best types in the game. It’s dominated by Pokemon that hit fast and hard, and it serves as the weakness to many strong Pokemon, including Dark- and Steel-types, as well as the ever-popular Normal-type gym defenders like Blissey and Slaking. It looks like Fighting will remain a dominant time for the foreseeable future, as well, unless there’s some extreme meta shift, which is unlikely.

The best Fighting-type is probably no surprise: Shadow Machamp. This Gen I punchy friend has long been considered one of the best Fighting-types in series history, and its Shadow boost just makes it even better. With access to some of the best Fighting-type moves, as well as Rock Slide for coverage against Flying-types, Sh. Machamp isn’t going down without a fight. The first of many Fighting-type Mega Evolutions to see release in GO is Mega Lopunny. It’ll likely lose some places in the ranking when others like M-Lucario and Mega Mewtwo X are released, but for now, Mega Lop is a sure bet. With a max Attack stat of 282, it’s definitely a Pokemon worth adding to your team, even if it won’t be one the best for long.

Pokmon Go Attackers And Strength

The strongest Pokémon change frequently, since new Pokémon join the game constantly. While Kyogre may be on top for a while, it will only be replaced in time by some other water-type.
