Team Go Rocket Leader Arlo
Arlo’s Potential Pokémon
Can also be used against Arlo’s Gligar.
How to Defeat Arlo
Arlo’s team features both Lapras and Snorlax, two Pokémonthat are difficult to face even without the incredibly high CP Team GO RocketLeaders’ Pokémon tend to have. Shadow Gardevoir is a gauntlet in its own right, and when you consider that Arlo’s Pokémon don’t have a lot of type overlap, defeatinghim gets that much more challenging. But don’t despair: with the right strategy, you’ll have Arlo bemoaning his undue defeat.
Because of their type combinations, Froslass and Empoleonare good choices to begin the battle with. The Ice- and Ghost-type Froslass isgenerally a strong addition to your team, but when battling Arlo, it’s helpfulto teach your Froslass an Ice-type Fast Attack. Similarly, your Empoleon shouldalso know a Water-type Fast Attack. In both cases, you’ll want your Pokémon to havetwo Charged Attacksone for each of its types. If Arlo’s second Pokémon isCradily, you’ll be in good shape if you stick with Froslass and Empoleon. Ifit’s Lapras, switch in your Fighting-type Pokémon with matching Fighting-typeFast and Charged Attacks. If Arlo goes with Mawile, call out your Fire-typePokémon and utilize its Fire-type attacks.
The Team GO Rocket Leaders change their Pokémon every fewmonths, so check back regularly for new recommendations and strategies.
Good luck battling, Trainers!
Lohnt Sich Der Kampf Gegen Sierra

Round : Houndoom Alakazam Or Gardevoir
During the third round, Sierra has a chance to throw out one of these three Pokémon.
Houndoom has several type weaknesses, namely Water, Fighting, Rock, and Ground. This gives it several good counters, including Poliwrath , Swampert , Machamp , and Kyogre .
When facing Alakazam, the key is, again, countering the fast move. For this you want to use Dark Type Pokémon. Tyranitar , Weavile , or Darkrai are all good choices.
The trick to facing Gardevoir is to use powerful steel Pokémon, which resists most of its attacks. Tyranitar is a good choice for resisting psychic attacks, as with Alakazam, but some more specific counters are Metagross , Melmetal , and Dialga .
With this guide, hopefully players will be able to defeat Sierra, rising above the team leader to challenge the big boss Giovanni.

Counters For First Pokemon
Since Sneasel is always the first Pokemon Sierras lineup, countering it is a relatively easier task. It is a Dark/Ice-type Pokemon, making it super weak against Fighting-type attacks.
Any powerful Fighting-type Pokemon will do the job here. Blaziken with Counter/Focus Blast, Conkeldurr with Counter/Dynamic Punch, and Lucario with Counter/Aura Sphere are some popular choices.
Pokemon Go: Countering Each Of Sierra’s Potential Pokemon
Sierra’s current Pokemon GO team will always begin with Shadow Nidoran, which can be quickly and efficiently dispatched with just about any Pokemon that isn’t overly weak to Poison-type moves that the Shadow Nido tends to have.
However, once her first Pokemon is defeated, Sierra’s second and third Pokemon choices are based on a percentage of chance, which means players won’t immediately know what comes next. Regardless, players can always back out of the fight and re-attempt fighting Sierra in Pokemon GO if their team doesn’t counter hers well.
A list of great Pokemon GO counters against each of Sierra’s Pokemon picks can be found below:

Best Sneasel Counters In Pokemon Go
You have some choices here as Sneasle can be taken down with Fighting, Fairy, Bug, Steel, Fire and Rock moves. Lucario is the best Pokemon you can pick to go up against Sneasle and the Aura Sphere attack is a powerful one that will do a lot of damage. Equally, Machamp will do some great punching damage while you can also go for Breloom or Blaziken.
How To Beat Sierra In Pokmon Go
Beating Sierra this month wont be easy but definitely not impossible. By picking the right lineup, Sierras Pokémon can be countered and defeated in just a single try. If the wrong Pokémon are picked or if Sierra surprises with other Pokémon than expected, then players might be in for a tough battle.
The first step will be to get past Sneasel, which will be the easiest part of the battle. Try to hold on to the defensive shields when against Sneasel and save them for Sierras other Pokémon. Sneasel is a dark and ice-type Pokémon, which makes a fighting-type Pokémon like Lucario or Conkeldurr a very good pick. Lucario is especially great because it can burn Sierras two defensive shields very fast with Power-Up Punch as the charge move.
For the second Pokémon, players need to figure out what Sierra will be using. All three potential Pokémon are very different, which means that the counters can vary. If Sierra uses Ampharos, then some of the best options will be ground types such as Landorus, Golem, or Rhyperior.
For Granbull, players want something effective against fairy types such as steel moves through Genesect or Metagross. Poison types will also be great at taking down Granbull.
Last, but not least, theres a chance to face Gliscor which will be taken down by water or ice moves with Mamoswine, Gyarados, or Slowbro.

Grunts using this taunt will have Fairy types counters.
With only the Snubbull family to deal with, take your best poison and steel types. Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash, Roserade with poison moves, or Dialga with steel moves will all make light work of this family.

How To Beat Team Rocket Leader Sierra In Pokmon Go
As players are enjoying Pokémon GO in the warm summer weather, Niantic has put a lot of focus on defeating Team Rocket during the month of June. This includes plenty of Team Rocket Grunts and of course the three Team Rocket leaders.
Potentially the hardest of the three leaders is Sierra, who is currently fielding a lot of different strong Pokémon. Beating Sierra is no piece of cake in June, so its important to pick a team wisely before entering the battle against her. Just like the other leaders, Sierra will have one guaranteed Pokémon in the first round, followed up by three potential Pokémon in rounds two and three respectively.
With a total of seven different Pokémon, its hard to predict how a battle against Sierra will turn out. Its, therefore, important to have three Pokémon on the team that can potentially counter what Sierra is using. To help players along, heres how to beat Sierra in June 2021.

Pokemon Go Sierra Guide: The Best Counters For Defeating The Team Go Rocket Leader
These tips will give you the strategy needed to defeat this devious diva.
Pokemon Go’s Team Go Rocket leaders can be some of the toughest encounters you’ll come across in this popular mobile game, with each of the four leaders having strong Pokemon that can trip you up if you’re not prepared. There are four leaders in Pokemon Go–Arlo, Cliff, Sierra, and Giovanni–but in this guide, we’ll tell you how to tackle the “Lone Lioness” and defector from Team Instinct herself, Sierra.
Sierra will always use Shadow Sneasel in the starting position. This will not change no matter how many times you face her. Phases 2 and 3 of the battle, however, will be a different experience every time. Each phase sees Sierra choose one of three randomized Shadow Pokemon, as listed below.
- Phase 1
- Shadow Sneasel
Best Sierra Counters
Sierra has quite a mixture when it comes to her Pokemon’s weakness, with two of them only having one weakness each. Luckily, those two Pokemon–Ampharos in Phase 2 and Drapion in Phase 3–share the same Ground-type, meaning that Ground-type moves will be essential. We would bring one of the following three Pokemon just to deal with those two:
Rewards for defeating Sierra
After Sierra is defeated, you will receive 1000 Stardust and two out of the six items listed below:
Best Ampharos Counters In Pokemon Go
Go for Landorus here as it will be your best bet of getting to the second round quickly Earthquake will do some serious damage to Ampharos and it wont take a lot more to finish this one off.
Ground-type moves are the only weakness that Ampharos has, so if you dont have a Landorus, go for a Pokemon that specialises in these moves and is high-powered enough to cause a lot of harm Groudon and Excadrill are two others that will get the job done.

How To Beat The Team Go Rocket Leaders
As always counters are going to be very important when fighting the Rocket Leaders, but there is some other strategy that you should know as well. These important tips for how to beat Arlo, Cliff and Sierra will help you regardless of which Pokemon they are using or you are using. As a rule of thumb you should always put your lead Pokemon in the second or third slot, then swap to them immediately. This will make the Team GO Rocket Leaders pause their attacks and you can get some free hits in. By doing this correctly right when the battle begins you get some quick damage and charge up your Charge Attack. The second big tip to beat the Team Go Rocket Leaders is to use the aforementioned Charged Attack. Charged Attacks used at the beginning of this fight in quick succession can take down the shields for Arlo, Cliff and Sierra.
Using those two tips + the correct counters for the Team Go Rocket Leaders and you should have no problem beat them. Now lets get into the best counters for Arlo, Cliff and Sierra for December 2021.
Pokemon Go: Sierra Counters For December 2021
With a new month comes a new rotation of battle Pokemon in Pokemon GO for Team GO Rocket’s members, including their leadership like Arlo, Cliff, Sierra, and the team’s boss Giovanni.
Sierra’s battle team in Pokemon GO this December isn’t her toughest, but it still shouldn’t be taken lightly. Her initial Pokemon amounts to a pushover, but her team grows stronger gradually as trainers defeat her, with her strongest Pokemon kept for her third and final team slot.
Fortunately, Sierra’s team has more than a few counters, move and Pokemon wise, and defeating her team of Shadow Pokemon shouldn’t be too difficult compared to her comrades or her previous teams.

Team Go Rocket Details
Team GO Rocket are an offshoot of the Team Rocket from the main series games. In Pokémon GO, Team GO Rocket will appear at PokéStops at times. When a PokéStop is darker blue and the cube on it is spinning, that means a member of Team GO Rocket is there. When you spin the stop, they will appear and challenge you.
The battles are standard Trainer Battles, but you have to use a team while they use two Pokémon at CP of around 2200-2500 and a final one of CP around 3200 for Great League, 3300-3500 for the first two and ~4500 for the final one for Ultra League and exceeeding that with Master League and higher making the battle very tough.

Team GO Rocket Leaders can be found at PokéStops designated as Team GO Rocket Hideouts, which can be located using a Rocket Radar. In battle, unlike Grunts, Leaders will always use their Protect Shield against the player’s first two Charged Attacks. Once defeated, the Leader will leave the PokéStop and abandon one of the Shadow Pokémon used.
These Waters Are Treacherous
Possible encounters feature Water type Pokémon. There are two possible groups that may appear with this taunt.
Best counter: Alolan Exeggutor, Sceptile, Leafeon, Tangrowth, Raikou, Magnezone
Grunts using this taunt will use the Poliwag evolution line, as well as other dual water/ground types. We suggest using Grass or Electric type counters like Alolan Exeggutor, Sceptile, Leafeon, Tangrowth, Raikou, Magnizon, Electivire, Jolteon, or Zapdos. There is potential for counter moves from Go Rocket Pokémon with access to ground and ice type attacks. Venusaur and Roserade are good options against Poliwraths Fighting moves.
The other format for the Pokémon this grunt may have is either triple Magikarp, which any Roserade, or other strong grass type will make quick work of, or two Magikarp followed by a Gyarados. In case you encounter a Gyarados, bring out your Electric Pokemon, as it has potential to access ice type moves that will make quick work of your grass types.
