Dont Let The Ring Trick You

The target ring always gets smaller and smaller until you release the Pokéball. Once you throw the ball the target ring will freeze in place until the ball lands. The trick is to throw the Pokéball before the ring so that it will land when the ring is at the right size. When the ball lands right, you have an excellent throw.

What About An Excellent Curve Throw

You get extra XP and a greater catch percentage with a Curveball, and you get extra XP and a higher catch percentage with an Excellent Throw, so naturally, you’re going to want to combine the two, right? You totally can! Excellent Curve Throws are a solid way of scoring a huge XP boost per catch, and it gets you just about as close as you can get to a guaranteed catch with most creatures. Here’s our best tip for nailing this move!

  • Touch and hold the Poké Ball until the target circle shrinks down to Excellent size.
  • Wait until the Pokémon starts to attack.
  • Spin the Poké Ball so you can curve it.
  • As the Pokémon gets to about 3/4 through its attack, throw the curve ball as close to dead center as you can.
  • The target circle will remain the same size you set, so if you hit it correctly, you’ll score the Excellent throw and associated bonus.

Getting The Perfect Excellent Throw In Pokmon Go

How to Make Excellent Pokémon Go Throw

Timing:Every Pokémon has a target ring that shrinks as time passes, and then returns to its original size. The smaller the ring, the better the throw. Wait until the ring is almost small enough to disappear, and release the Pokéball. Once you release the Pokéball, the ring will stop shrinking. The rating of the throw will be displayed when the Pokéball comes in contact with the Pokémon.

Make sure to time your throw so tat it hits when the Pokémon is still. Be patient and watch its movement pattern to predict when it will jump or attack. If you throw the Pokéball when the target ring is small and it hits, you have a greater chance of keeping the Pokéball.

Curveballs:Excellent curveballs result in even higher catch rates. To throw a curveball, rotate the ball clockwise or counterclockwise. It will launch in the direction that it is spinning. By itself, using a curveball will give an XP bonus and a higher catch percentage, and achieving an excellent curveball will compound those bonuses.

Berries:Another way to increase your catch rates is to feed pokémon berries. If a target ring is bright red, it will be very hard to catch the pokémon, but the closer to green it is the more likely you will succeed. Feeding Razz Berries to a pokémon, using a curveball, and getting an excellent throw will increase all of the bonuses.

Use these strategies to up your catch rates and catch as many Pokémon as possible.

Excellent Throws are perfect for increasing your chance of capturing a Pokémon, getting XP boosts, or completing a research task. However, theyre one of the toughest to get.

Below are some great hacks to help you get Excellent Throws in Pokémon Go.

One way to get the Excellent Throw is to practice, practice, and practice. However it sounds, practice is the key to get an Excellent Throw.

That said, there are some tricks you can use to get an excellent throw in the game. Let’s start with the basics.

The ring size gets smaller when holding on to the Pokéball until released. Once the Pokéball releases, the ring size will freeze, and we want to make sure that the ring is frozen at the smallest size.

Moving on, we need to know what Pokémon we are going up against. We all know our goal “Gotta Catch’em All, but we can start with the Pokémon that have a larger ring and move towards the smaller ring Pokémons.

Here are some good Pokémon options to choose from:

    • Slowpoke
    • Ponyta
    • Snorlax
    • Legendary Pokémons

Next is to use berries, more specifically, Nanab berries because they will slow down the ring size getting smaller, and you will have enough time to plan out your next Pokéball throw.

Use the red Pokéballs to keep on farming the Excellent Throws. The red Pokéballs would not be much help in catching the Pokémons. But they will give you the chance to keep getting Excellent Throws.

Making Perfect Excellent Throws In Pokemon Go

The goal is to land the Pokeball directly into the circle while its at its smallest to make Excellent Throws. The player will receive more experience if the circle is smaller. To get better at landing Excellent Throws, it is recommended that the player improves throwing curveballs. Curveballs distort the direction of the ball, making it aim towards the center. When the circle is about to reach its smallest point, throw a curveball and it will land directly at the center of the circle. It may take a few attempts, as each Pokemon has a different sized circle, but this is the best method of making Perfect Excellent Throws in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go changed the world when it released back in 2016, marking itself as a global phenomenon. Casual and hardcore players would take to the streets and spend the entire day enjoying their Summer. Local economies were boosted due to heavier foot traffic and the game even partnered up with brands like Starbucks and Boost Mobile to create PokeStops. The game has grown massively since its initial release in player base and in features. Pokemon Go is heavily community-driven, as players must work together to take down gyms and capture legendary Pokemon. Not only is it good, wholesome fun, but playing it makes for excellent exercise.

How To Get An Excellent Throw Every Time In ‘pokmon Go’

The key to landing an excellent throw is to watch the colored circle that appears when you go to capture a Pokémon. The circle’s color will indicate the difficulty of the Pokémon you’re attempting to catch , while the size of that circle will indicate the quality of the throw you make.

If you throw the Poké Ball while the colored circle is just as large as the outer circle, you’ll receive only a nice throw. A mid-sized circle will land you a great throw, while a very small inner circle will give you an excellent throw.

Before throwing, give yourself a minute to study how quickly the inner circle shrinks, and once you throw the Poké Ball it’ll freeze in place so try to wait until it’s as small as possible.

Of course, practice makes perfect don’t expect to nail this once and be an expert every time you play. The more advanced the Pokémon, the harder it will be to land an excellent throw, so don’t be afraid to practice on less-skilled Pokémon.

How Nice Great And Excellent Throws Work

How to throw an Excellent Curveball in Pokémon GO

Once you’ve found a Pokémon on the map, tap them to start the capture process. Whether in augmented mode or in-game, time your throws to when the coloured circle round them is at their smallest. If you manage to land the ball in the circle, the greater the chance of success in capturing the Pokémon.

To do this, press and hold on the Pokéball to make the circle appear, and then throw it when you’re ready with a swipe. Remember, the closer you get to the centre, the better the throw type – it goes from Nice for most of the circle, Great for around half, and Excellent when it’s close to the middle.

Of course, the risk rewards is the smaller the circle, the easier it is to miss and / or more of a chance the circle will loop back around, so be sure to practice the timing to get it just right. It’s worth it, though, as the XP gains are pretty substantial:

    • Catch a Pokémon with a Curveball – 10 XP
    • Catch a Pokémon with a Nice throw – 10 XP
    • Catch a Pokémon with a Great throw – 50 XP
    • Catch a Pokémon with an Excellent Throw – 100XP

Learn The L Throw Curve Technique

A certain member of the Pokémon community developed the reliable L Throw technique that reportedly makes it easier to catch Pokémon using a curve throw.

This involves spinning the Poké Ball clockwise, then sliding your finger up the screen to the left of the Pokémon and releasing it when its level with the Pokémon.

Savvy players will want to time their finger slide when the circle is nearing its smallest to grab that increased capture rate too!
