Pokemon Lets Go Shiny Guide

How to restart your save file in Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

You may have entire teams of Level 100, max IV monsters in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee, but are they shiny? If not, why not?

Shiny Pokemon are just like their regular counterparts except theyre, well, shiny. Rather than taking on a metallic glint, these special Pokemon are color-swapped. For instance, a shiny Cubone is green. Green isnt exactly shiny, but green Cubone is still shiny Cubone. These creatures are rarer and so far more coveted.

Anyway, Pokemon Lets Go has completely reinvented shiny hunting because the game actually addresses it as a thing. The Shiny Charm that the Game Director in Celadon City gives you after you complete the Pokedex attests to this it is designed to increase your chances of encountering a shiny Pokemon in the wild.

While shinies have always been available, Nintendo has finally decided to come out and say, Heres a thing for you shiny hunters. However, the Shiny Charm isnt the only thing you can use to better your chances of encountering shinies.

Here are some of the best techniques for catching shinies in Pokemon Lets Go:

How To Delete Games On A Nintendo Switch

1. From the Switch home screen, scroll to the game you want to delete. If you have enough games and apps, you might need to select the “All Software” icon at the right end of the home menu to see everything you have on your device.

2. Once you’ve found the game you want to delete, press the plus button on the right-hand Joy-Con controller or the minus button on the left. If you’re using a Pro Controller, or another controller that doesn’t use Joy-Cons, the plus and minus buttons will still be on the right and left, respectively.

3. Select “Manage Software” in the menu that appears.

4. Click “Delete Software” and then confirm your choice.

And that’s it, the game is gone.

But it’s not lost forever. You can even leave a shortcut to re-download the game at any time, by selecting “Archive Software” instead of “Delete Software.” Archiving a game does remove its data from your console, but leaves its icon and your save data on the homepage. This is great if you just want to clear space temporarily.

If you want to fully delete the game, save data and all, it will free up more space, but you’ll have to start from scratch if you ever download it again.

‘pokmon Go’: It’s Basically Impossible To Evolve Meltan Without ‘pokmon Let’s Go’

Melmetal

Pokémon GO introduces new creatures all the time, but these ones are different. Meltan and Melmetal, just introduced on Friday, are something different. They’re not just new Pokémon for Pokémon GO, they’re new Pokémon period: brand-new character designs meant as a cross-promotion for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, a set of new games just released for the Nintendo Switch. As far as cross-promotion goes, it’s a no-brainer: a unique Pokémon tied to a new Pokémon game just sort of makes sense.

And yet the idea also raises the ever-present issue of “pay-to-win” for free-to-play games. At first, it seemed like Niantic had engineered Meltan’s introduction to Pokémon GO carefully to avoid the appearance of gating one of its creatures behind a $60 game and a $299 console. That’s the idea behind the special research it introduced on the same day Pokémon Let’s Go came out: it was a new, special creature, but you could still get it if you completed a reasonably difficult quest line. Which works for Meltan, but raises a thorny issue for its evolution, Melmetal.

You can get the mystery box by linking to a friend’s copy of Let’s Go, but it’s an imperfect solution: you would need to go on your local Pokémon GO social media group to find a willing stranger if you don’t know someone directly, and not everyone wants to do that. And you’ll need to do it multiple times to get the full evolution.

    Can You Breed Kubfu

Pokémon Sword and Shield: Can you breed Kubfu or Urshifu at a nursery? Best answer: No. Even though these new Fighting-type Pokémon have genders, theyre still Legendary Pokémon, which cannot produce eggs at a nursery regardless of whether you drop one off with a different gender or a Ditto.

Pokemon Lets Go Starter Pokemon Gender Differences

As far as we can tell, there is no practical difference between starter Pokemon genders in Pokemon Lets Go. The only discernible differences we can spot are the looks. And, even then, the most noticeable distinction is in the look of the tails. What I mean is, the tails of a boy Pikachu / Eevee and a girl Pikachu / Eevee look different, and thats all there is to it. In other words, other than the looks, theres no reason to worry about your starter Pokemon gender in Pokemon Lets Go.

Training a team of Pokémon can be difficult and time-consuming. And while Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Lets Go Eevee does away with some battling aspects, the training part largely remains the same.

In fact, Lets Go makes it a little easier to train Pokémon and build a competitive team, despite not having breeding. Other features introduced in Lets Go can help trainers determine a Pokémons Nature, IVs and even EVs.

Heres an explainer of certain Pokémon stats and how to determine them in Lets Go.

    COMBAT POINTS

In Pokémon Go, CP was introduced as a way for players to determine if a Pokémon has good stats or not. Before the arrival of the Appraisal feature and IVs, CP was the one stat that Pokémon Go players could rely on, but its become more muddied in the new Switch games.

Natures, IVs and EVs are better ways to determine a Pokémons strengths.

How The Go Park Play Yard Works

If you transfer 25 of the same Pokemon into the Go Park from Pokemon Go, you’ll be able to enter the Play Yard for that specific Pokemon and unlock a secret mini-game that’ll earn you candy for that critter. From what we’ve seen so far, they’re all rather adorable, but it might take a while for you to unlock them all – especially as you can’t count any of the Pokemon you’ve caught in Pokemon Let’s Go towards that 25 total. It’s Pokemon Go transfers only.

Also, all 25 Pokemon have to be physically in the Go Park at the same time to access the mini-game. They don’t all have to be in the same Park though.

You have 20 Go Parks to choose from, each holding up to 50 Pokemon, meaning you can have up to 1000 Pokemon stored there at any one time. That basically equates to 40 mini-games active at once. Enjoy transferring, trainers!

How To Rebattle Gym Leaders In Pokemon Lets Go

In order to make use of the Pokemon Lets Go rebattle Gym Leaders feature, you first have to defeat the Elite Four. There are tons of post-game features that you can read about in our Pokemon Lets Go post-game guide, but in order to rebattle Gym Leaders in Pokemon Lets Go, there are specific things you need to do.

First of all, there is no way to battle Gym Leaders again before becoming the Pokemon League Champion. Although this would make training a whole lot easier, it simply isnt an option. Additionally, once they’re in Sword or Shield, they cannot then be transferred back to Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee.

Once transferred to Pokémon HOME, your Pokémon will be listed in the National Pokédex . Remember, Pokémon Sword and Shield has it’s own Pokédex and is not compatible with every single Pokémon, although with the additional Pokémon from the Expansion Passes, Sword and Shield will support over 600 Pokémon.

It is not currently possible to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME, although the feature is coming. It should be noted that transferred Pokémon cannot be moved back to Pokémon GO once they have been moved to Pokémon HOME.

For previous generation games, all Pokémon must be transferred via Pokémon Bank on 3DS. While it is possible to transfer Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon from the 3DS Virtual Console releases of the original Game Boy games , it is not possible to move Pokémon from original Game Boy cartridges to Pokémon HOME.
