Snorlax Vmax Rainbow Rare

A secret rare version of a popular Pokemon is always something to keep your eye on! Snorlax doesnt quite stand up to some of the other cards on this list, but when you compare this card to similar ones like the Rainbow Rare Eevee & Snorlax-GX from Team Up, it stands to retain a good amount of value!

Gold Zamazenta V #212/202

Although the Zamazenta V Full-Art version of the card fetches around $8 currently and almost makes our list, it’s no where near the gold variant which takes its place on our list at #3. While this card may not see the same utility in the TCG universe as Zacian, it still offers a tremendous amount of collectible value.

As #212/202, the gold Zamazenta V card is one of a few secret rares in the set. Collectors have a lot to like about this card – whether it is because it is a hard to pull V, features one of the new legendary Pokemon, or is a secret-rare gold card.

We tend to wonder if #3 on our list may overtake #2 in the future!

The Gold Zamazenta V card, at the time of writing, fetches a price of around $25.

Gold Zacian V #211/202

Sword & Shield Buy List! (New Pokemon TCG Set) (Which Cards to Buy)

I’m certain you could’ve seen it coming, but the best card from the original Pokemon base set for Sword and Shield is the Zacian V gold secret rare variant. Considering we’ve discussed Zacian cards a few times already, I’m guessing you know why.

This is currently the most expensive card in the set – featuring one of the strongest options for the TCG, a special gold variant for collectors, and a sought-after Legendary Pokemon for all fans of the series.

The Gold Zacian V card, at the time of writing, fetches a price of around $44, although some recent transactions have gotten as high as $70. We definitely think this card could go down long-term as the most valuable card in the set.

Battle Styles Best Cards

SEARCHING FOR 1 OF THE MOST RARE POKEMON CARDS IN SWORD AND SHIELD! [opening]

Now, dont go thinking this is an official ranking, its not. These are just the 5 cards that I think are the best available in the new Battle Styles set.

5/ Mawile

Theres nothing particularly special about this card, and Im not even a huge Mawile fan but, theres something about the art that just makes it look cool. It could be the watercolour style or the giant mouth-claw but good job Mawile.

Source: Pokemon TCG Website

4/ Coalossal

Coalossal is one of the best looking new Pokemon from Sword and Shield and this card absolutely exemplifies that. Nothing more can be said, other than it looks like a monster.

Source: Pokemon TCG Website

3/ Empoleon V

Like Mawile, Im not a massive Empoleon fan. Its a fine Pokemon, just not one that blows me away but this card is special. Im a big fan of full-art cards that have a bit of personality, and this certainly fits that bill. Standing in front of a scenic background, Empoleon is completing some martial arts training with Mienfoo and Falinks. Its a really nice card.

2/ Single Strike Style Mustard

As well as full-art Pokemon cards with personality, Im a big fan of full-art trainer/supporter cards. The artwork on this Single Strike Style Mustard card is fantastic and is one that will almost certainly look even better up close and personal.
