How To Find Out Approximate Cp And Iv Values Within Pokmon Go With The Appraisal Feature
Niantic originally released the Appraisal feature in 2016 in an effort to combat third-party apps. While the feature was useful, the information it gave about a Pokémon’s CP and IV value was rather vague. After three years, however, Niantic has revamped the feature, making it much easier to discover which of your Pokémon are the very best.
To get an Appraisal of your Pokémon, tap the menu in the bottom right corner and select Appraisal when viewing, and then your chosen Team Leader will give you the rundown.
The new Appraisal feature is divided into two stages.
In the first stage, your chosen Team Leader will comment on the size of your Pokémon, telling you how small or how bizarrely big your Pokémon is. This information doesn’t factor into the prowess of battle – so feel free to ignore it.
In the second stage, the Team Leader will tell you when or where you caught the Pokémon , but, more importantly, they’ll show you the Pokémon stats – Attack, Defence and HP.
Each stat has a bar that shows you where it ranks out of 15 on the IV scale. To help communicate this information, the stat bars are divided into three different sections:
- First section – 1 to 5
- Second section – 6 to 10
- Third section – 11 to 15
The higher the IV stat, the better the Pokémon’s Attack, Defence or HP will be.
If a stat has an IV ranking of 15 – the maximum possible stat – then the bar will be coloured red. On the other hand, if a stat bar is completely empty, then the IV ranking for that stat is 0.
What Is The Pokmon Go Level Cap And When Does The New Level Cap Come Into Effect
The new Pokémon Go level cap will be level 50, increasing ten levels from the previous level cap of 40 set at the game’s debut in the summer of 2016.
The Pokémon Go level cap increases arrives on November 30th, 2020 for players across the world, alongside the Season of Celebration. Before then, “a portion of level 40 trainers in Australia” will be given early access from November 19th to test the system.
Maximize Your Lucky Egg Use
Save your Lucky Egg and hold off on evolving Pokémon until you have about 60-80 Poké to evolve. With this many evolutions, you will use your Lucky Egg time to the fullest.
In order of priority:
- Low-cost evolutions : Pidgey, Weedle, Caterpie.
- Pokémon that will evolve into one that you haven’t caught before. Check your Pokédex to see what you’re missing.
- Pokémon that you have boatloads of: Rattata , Spearow , Zubat , Drowsee , etc. Reference here for more.
Now it’s time for math. Every catch and transfer gives you 4 candy. Every evolution gives you 1 candy. Use Pidgey Calc to figure out whether you should use your Lucky Egg now or save up more Pokémon for later.

Although a Pokémon’s IVs aren’t displayed in the game, there are tools to work them out. The website Poké Assistant features an IV calculator, for instance, which allows you to input your Pokémon’s CP, HP , and the Stardust required to power it up so you can find its individual values.
The two Drowzees above are a good example of the subtle differences between individual Pokémon. Although the one on the right has a slightly higher CP, for instance, it also has a lower HP and requires more Stardust to power up.
When you put both Drowzees through the IV calculator, the one on the left comes out on top.
All of which is a long-winded way of saying that while the 1,000 CP evolution chart above seems fairly accurate, it won’t be completely spot-on because IVs make everything a little more complicated.
Mega Evolution In Pokmon Go
First introduced in Pokémon X & Y, Mega Evolution has come to Pokémon GO. Mega Evolutions are a different kind of evolution; you can temporarily Mega Evolve a Pokémon to gain some further strengths in battle and sometimes a type change.
In Pokémon GO, Mega Evolution requires Mega Energy and lasts just just 8 hours, though some events can have it boosted to last longer. During this time, you can do almost anything you want with the Mega Evolved Pokémon including taking pictures and battling in Gyms and Raids. You will also gain increased candy when catching the type of Pokémon that you presently have Mega Evolved. However, Mega Evolved Pokémon can’t be placed in Gyms or used in GO Battle League at time of writing.
Shadow Pokémon, GO Exclusive variants cannot Mega Evolve
When a Pokémon Mega Evolves in battle, it will provide a special 33% boost to itself and any other Pokémon in Raids that match its type and a 10% boost to all other Pokémon in the raid.

What Is Pokmon Iv And Why Its Important
Each Pokémon in the Pokémon Go game is unique. First of all, each Pokémon type has for Attack, Defense and Stamina. What is more, each Pokémon has its Individual Values that increases Base Stats for Attack, Defense and Stamina by 0-15 extra points. These Individual Values differ from Pokémon to Pokémon and its what makes each Pokémon unique even though they belong to the same type.
As we have already mentioned, there are three Individual Values in the Pokémon Go game. Its Attack, Defense, and Stamina. Attack determines a Pokémons strength in taking a Gym, while Defense and Stamina determine its strength in defending it. This means having a Pokémon with better or worse Individual Values increases or decreases its chances in winning Gym battles. Simply saying, its a direct advantage or disadvantage in Gym battles!
We would guess the majority of Trainers are already asking where they could check those Individual Values. This is where things get a bit complicated. Individual Values cannot be seen in the game as these stats are simply not displayed. Luckily, we are here to offer you a Pokémon IV calculator which you can use on the top of this page to calculate your Pokémon Individual Values.

How Should You Use The New Appraisal Feature
The new Appraisal feature is a great way to quickly discover how powerful your new Pokemon are. Finding out that an old favourite has a three star rating is incredibly gratifying.
It’s especially useful for when you’re comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.
You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, you’ll need to search:
- 0* = 0 Stars
- 3* = 3 Stars
- 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon
The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though it’s still important to remember a Pokémon’s rarity and whether it’s one of the best Pokémon in the game.
Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others – so it isn’t the be all and end all.
For example, if you have a Snorlax – one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health – with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because it’s rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.

How Pokmon Go Iv Calculators Works
IV Calculator is one of the most popular tools among Pokémon Go players and thats the main reason why we have so many of them already. As far as we know most of the Pokémon IV Calculators are using the same Pokémon Go stats as well as reversed formulas :
CP = * ^0.5 * ^0.5 * ^2 / 10
HP = ECpM *
Too complicated to get the reversed formula? Use Pokémon IV Calculator on the top of this page! By determining which of you current Pokémon has the highest IV, youll know which ones are worth keeping and which ones should be immediately sent to Professor Willow.
Pokmon Go Purify Calculator
There is no specific Pokémon Go purify calculator used to understand what your Pokémons CP will look like after you purify it from a Shadow form but there is a trick you can use.
Using a CP calculator like the one we used earlier for Kangaskhan, follow these steps:
- Add 2 to each of your IVs and input them
- Set your Pokémons level to 25
Purifying a Shadow Pokémon adds two to each of your IVs and improves your Pokémons level to 25. So, adding this information to your Pokémons current stats will give you its new CP.

This Pokemon Go Evolution Calculator Will Help You Get The Most Powerful Pokemon
One of the most satisfying moments in Pokemon Go is when you finally have enough candies to evolve one of your rare Pokemon.
The only problem is that, at a glance, its impossible to tell how powerful that evolved Pokemon is going to be, and you might not have any candies left to power it up once youve spent 25 or 50 candies on the evolution.
This tool predicts what the Pokemon will evolve into based on the provided Combat Power and the multipliers gathered from the community, the creators of the Pokemon Go Toolkit website explain. This is useful for deciding whether the evolved Pokemon you have is stronger or weaker than the one you have now. Determining if the evolved Pokemon will be higher Combat Power is also useful for saving candies by avoiding having to test the evolution.
For example, if I have a 500 CP Charmander, I can plug that number into the calculator and click Evolve. The calculator will then show me that my Charmeleon could have anywhere from 820-850 CP, and the Charizard will have a CP between;1402-1521.
Considering the fact that Charizards max CP is 2602 , I might want to wait until I catch a stronger Charmander, or at least boost my Charmanders CP, before I start evolving him.
Mega Evolving Your Pokmon
To Mega Evolve a Pokémon, you have to use Mega Energy. This is a personalised thing just like Candy that can be used to Mega Evolve Pokémon. While the initial cost is high, once you have Mega Evolved that specific Pokémon, the cost will be reduced
The cost also varies by species making the scenario different for each Pokémon:

‘pokmon Let’s Go’ Training Guide: Cp Natures Evs Ivs And More Explained
Training a team of Pokémon can be difficult and time-consuming. And while Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee does away with some battling aspects, the training part largely remains the same.
In fact, Let’s Go makes it a little easier to train Pokémon and build a competitive team, despite not having breeding. Other features introduced in Let’s Go can help trainers determine a Pokémon’s Nature, IVs and even EVs.
Here’s an explainer of certain Pokémon stats and how to determine them in Let’s Go.
In Pokémon Go, CP was introduced as a way for players to determine if a Pokémon has good stats or not. Before the arrival of the Appraisal feature and IVs, CP was the one stat that Pokémon Go players could rely on, but it’s become more muddied in the new Switch games.
In Let’s Go, CP seemingly has less bearing on a Pokémon’s stats than in Pokémon Go . While it’s still a good visual for determining a Pokémon’s strengths, the implementation of Natures CP is less reliable of a stat. In fact, it’s less of a stat and more of a representation of a Pokémon’s strength.
Natures, IVs and EVs are better ways to determine a Pokémon’s strengths.
Natures are very important in the development of a Pokémon, and are the easiest to determine. A Pokémon’s Nature determines which stat grows faster slower than normal.
Here’s each color and the stat it represents:
Red – Attack
Pink – Speed
11 – 20 = 2
110 + = 6
How About Cheats Can You Beat The Pokmon Go Xp System
Some people try to force-quit the Pokémon Go app once an evolution starts, betting their phone is fast enough to relaunch before the evolution animation would have otherwise ended.
Others try to use multiple phones to get multiple concurrent evolutions at the same time. That kind of stuff can get your account banned, though, so you’re better off taking the huge amount of XP you can get legitimately and leaving it at that. While it might be appealing to get even that little extra XP out of your Lucky Eggs, there are plenty of legitimate ways to level up fast that don’t run the risk of getting banned from the game.
