List Of Pokmon With Unique Type Combinations
This is a list of Pokémon with unique type combinations across the generations. A Pokémon qualifies as having a unique type combination if no other Pokémon aside from any evolutionary relatives has that type combination. Since the game rarely makes a distinction between a Pokémon’s first and second types when calculating damage, this list does not consider every permutation of types, but instead considers only combinations. In other words, Pokémon such as Spiritomb ” rel=”nofollow”>Ghost/Dark-type Pokémon) and Sableye ” rel=”nofollow”>Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon) are treated as having the same type combination.
Pokmon Go Types Strengths And Weakness
Pokémon also has its own set of weaknesses and strengths. For example, bug-type Pokémon are weak against fire-, flying-, and rock-type moves. Bug-type moves are strong against dark-, grass-, and psychic-type moves. Fire-, flying-, and rock-type moves will do double damage against a bug-type, like Caterpie.
Some Pokémon have two types, which means they can have a doubled weakness or have their strength and weaknesses cancel out to just take normal damage. Rayquaza, a dragon- and flying-type, takes four times the damage from ice-type moves. On the flip side, Shuckle, a rock- and bug-type, takes normal damage from fire-type moves, since rock-type is strong against fire-type.
Strengths and weaknesses also arent necessarily just opposites of each other. Though fire-type move deal less damage to water-type Pokémon and water-type moves do doubled damage against fire-type Pokémon, this isnt the case with every type. For example, fighting-type moves are strong against normal-types, but normal-types just do regular damage against fighting-types, rather than do reduced damage.
Knowing what Pokémons strengths and weaknesses are is an important aspect of raiding and battling. To do the most damage you can, you should make sure that your Pokémons moves are strong against what its battling.
Memorizing all of that can get confusing, so heres a chart to help you out.

Pokemon Go Type Chart: Strength Weakness And Effectiveness For All Types
Pokemon Types are the core of battles in Pokemon Go just as in the rest of the series – and to succeed, you’ll need to understand Pokemon type strengths, weaknesses and effectiveness.
As hardcore Pokemon fans will already know quite well, each Pokemon has one or two types, and types determine much about how that Pokemon battles. For the Pokemon Trainer, type is important because certain types are strong against others, meaning you can deal or take additional damage, or on the other hand lessen the amount of damage received.
There’s 18 different types, and each type is either strong, weak or neutral versus other types. At the most basic level with the starter Pokemon this breaks down to Rock, Paper, Scissors – Charmander beats Bulbasaur who beats Squirtle which comes full circle by beating Fire.
That all makes sense and is nice and easy – though things get more complicated when you start introducing more obtuse Pokemon Types types like Fairy or Dragon, or when you consider Pokemon with multiple types. Then you have to consider that moves have types – so a fire-type Pokemon like Charizard can easily come stacked with Dragon and Flying-type moves, meaning its damage output on the type chart is attached to those types rather than its raw type.

Water Type Pokemon Strength And Weakness Chart
Water type is one of the eighteen types of Pokemon in the Pokemon Universe.
There are more Pokémon of this type than any of the other two because of the large number of marine creatures on which to base the species. Most Pokémon of this type also have another type, which represents the biodiversity of marine creatures. Water is in particular, the second type of fire / water Volcanion has completed all possible pairings.
Most water-type Pokémon look like creatures that live in the water or use water to get rid of them. Their attacks involve the use of water, otherwise attacks that can only be committed by creatures of the sea .
Misty, the second leader of Kanto Gym; Wallace, the eighth Hoenn Gymnasium Leader, became champion and his replacement, Juan; Crasher Wake, Sinnoh’s fourth gymnasium chief; Cress, one of the three leaders at the Striaton City gym in Unova; Marlon, eighth officer of the city of Humilau at Unova; Siebold, one of the Kalos Elite Four; and Lana, trial captain from Akala Island to Alola.

Rain Dance;hasn’t received much attention so far, but it can be one of;the best Water-type Status moves in Pokemon. It improves Water-type attacks by 50% and cuts Fire-type attacks by half, along with doing the same to Solar Beam and Solar Blade. Just don’t use it against an opponent;who has;Weather Ball;or;Thunder;as it improves the power and accuracy of those moves, respectively. Luckily, Lapras can also learn those attacks;in;Sword & Shield; Weather Ball through a TM and Thunder through a TR.

Pokemon Go Type Chart: Strengths Effectiveness Weaknesses And Resistances Explained
In Pokemon Go, Every type of Pokemon has four different relationships with other types any trainer should be aware of. That is:
- Strong Against: represented on our type chart as Strong Vs, attacks from the listed type against the type listed here will deal additional damage to your opponent. This is ‘Super Effective’.
- Weak Against: represented here as Weak Vs, attacks from the listed type against these types will do less damage to the enemy. This is ‘Not very effective…’
- Resistance: listed as resist, taking attacks from this type will do much less damage to you.
- Vulnerable: your type’s weaknesses. Attacks of these types will deal more damage – watch out!
So, for instance, Offensively a Ground-type Pokemon/move is Strong against Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire and Electric types, dealing double damage to them. It only does 50% damage against Flying, Bug and Grass Pokemon. Defensively, that same Ground-type Pokemon will take reduced damage from Poison, Rock and Electric Pokemon but also take double damage from Water, Grass and Ice – which is vulnerable to.
With that explained, let’s get into the Pokemon Go type chart in full.
There Are Only 2 Electric
Each Pokémon Type only has a few mega evolutions each so although this fact isn’t surprising, it’s also somewhat weird to think that the mascot type of the series got a low number of mega evolutions. Everyone wanted a Mega Pikachu but, unfortunately, it was never created. Then again, there is a Giagantamax Pikachu;form!
One of the two Electric mega evolution is the aforementioned Ampharos and the other is Manectric. These two Pokémon are somewhat underrated in the franchise, so it;was great to see them get some love in Gen-VI. Many fans didn’t realize how few mega evolutions this electrifying type, has which is why it deserves the highest spot on this list!

Pikachu Is Weak To Ground Type Attacks
Pikachu may not be known as the strongest Pokémon in the games, but it is part of the group of over 30 Electric Pokémon who only have a single weakness. Ground moves are the only moves that are super effective against Electric Pokémon, and Electric Pokémon have no effect on Ground Pokémon.
However, Electric moves are super effective against Flying and Water Pokémon, making a pure Electric Pokémon a great addition to a trainer’s team. Even Pikachu’s Gigantamax form is solely an electric type.
Snorlax Is Weak To Fighting Type Attacks
Snorlax is a Pokémon that can hit hard one turn, and sleep off all of the damage it took in the next. It is easily one of the strongest Pokémon in the first Generation, and was the source of many trainers’ frustrations when they attempted to catch it for the first time.
What makes this Pokémon even more impressive is that it only has a single weakness. It only takes extra damage from Pokémon that use Fighting type moves.

There Are Only 53 Electric
The amount of;Electric-Type Pokémon in the series is only a low number of 53. That’s around 6% of all Pokémon. This is a surprising tidbit because the mascot of the franchise is Pikachu, and players would expect such a well-known type to have more creatures to catch.
Luckily, there are so many good;Electric;Pokémon to choose from but it would still be great to see more of these electric critters in the future. Electric-Types remain a fan favorite despite the low amount of them that exist!
Barbaracle’s Best Learned Moves
In a change of pace, Barbaracle’s best attacks are not Water-based;;Cross Chop;and;Stone Edge;are powerful Fighting and Rock-type moves, respectively. In the right hands,;Shell Smash;can also be devastating as it boosts Barbaracle’s Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. However, this comes at the cost of the Pokemon’s Defense and Special Defense. Luckily, Barbaracle has respectable stats in both of those areas, so this move will not transform it into a glass cannon.

Zekrom Has The Highest Electric
Zekrom has the best attack stat of any Electric-Type Pokémon. This Unova legendary beast has a giant attack;power at 150. It’s not uncommon for legendaries to have very high stats, and Zekrom appears to be the exact same in that regard.
Unova introduced so many strong Pokémon, but Zekrom’s high stats make it one of the strongest in the entire region. Most Electric-Type Pokémon are very strong in terms of attack power but Zekrom definitely takes the cake!
Pokmon With The Fewest Type Weaknesses
Knowing a Pokémon’s type weakness is one of the best ways to get a leg-up on them in battle. But some Pokémon have fewer type weaknesses than others.
It’s not always easy to put together the perfect Pokémon team, as it’s ideal to create a team that houses Pokémon of varying types in order to protect yourself against a multitude of enemies. With many Pokémon falling under more than one type, these combinations can make Pokémon;vulnerable to more types than one would expect.
There is a good number of Pokémon with only one type weakness. These Pokémon are: Electric, Normal, Ghost/Dark, Poison/Dark, Water/Ground, Bug/Steel, and Water/Electric. Some Pokémon even have natural abilities that keep them safe from Pokémon that would usually be super effective against them. Having these types of Pokémon can be a huge advantage to trainers.
