What are the best moves?

Not all of the starter Pokémon that make their way over to Pokémon Go find themselves being highly sought after. Theyre useful, and fun to have, but most trainers look for the more unusual Pokémon to capture. Empoleon is not one of them, and is a great choice for the Great and Ultra League. But you need a good moveset to make it work.

Empoleon is a Water and Steel-type Pokémon. Its weak to Electric, Fighting, and Ground-type moves, but its resistant against Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Flying, Ice, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Steel, and Water-type attacks. It has a maximum CP of 2,900, an attack of 177, a defense of 158, and stamina of 167. Because its resistant to so many Pokémon, its medium stats are pretty great and make it a worthwhile option.

These are all of the moves Empoleon can learn.

The highly anticipated January Community Day event for January 2020 took place for Pokemon GO this past weekend. Trainers had a much higher chance of being able to catch a Piplup during the January 2020 Community Day event. This fact is significant, considering players were all trying to evolve a Piplup during the event to obtain an Empoleon that had an exclusive event moveset that is now the character’s best one. Fortunately for you curious players, we have the best moveset for Empoleon covered for you.

Which Is The Best Special Attack For Empoleon

Signal Beam is an option to hit Celebi hard, OHKOing offensive variants, while still threatening Pokemon such as Hydreigon. Stealth Rock can be used over Defog if Empoleons team would prefer this type of support. Special Attack is maximized with the given EVs and a Modest nature for Empoleon to hit as hard as possible.

Empoleon Pokemon Go: Best Moveset After Community Day

Pokemon GO

By Nathan Fusco | Jan 19, 2020

Empoleon Pokemon GO can be a rather powerful water-type Pokemon with a Steel defensive background, but there were better Pokemon out there. That changed during the community day.

Fans were able to catch Piplup during the community day on Sunday. Some were looking to farm shinies while others were farming perfect Piplup with powerful CP stats so they could evolve it into Empoleon.

Evolve Prinplup during the event or up to two hours afterward to obtain an Empoleon that knows the exclusive attack Hydro Cannon! #PokemonGOCommunityDay

Using The Move Rankings

Each Pokemon has a pool of Fast Moves and a pool of Charged Moves. Some moves might be better in one battle, and other moves might be better in another. For Trainer Battles, you’ll want know which moves will be the best ones to have in the most matchups. You might also want to know which Pokemon are the best candidates for a second Charged Move. The move details within each Pokemon ranking can help you determine that.

Moves are ranked using calculations primarily based on their damage and energy cost. Stat changes are also factored in. These calculations are run for each matchup, and then totaled across the format. Matchup weighting affects these numbers as well, so moves that would be used against significant meta targets will rank higher.

When looking at potential moves, keep an eye out for Pokemon that have a strong tendency toward a single Fast Move and a single Charged Move. These Pokemon will have their optimal moveset in the most matchups. On the other hand, some Pokemon see more balanced usage in their Charged Moves. This is where having a second Charged Move comes into play.

As an exercise, select any one Pokemon in the Team Builder tool and compare its battle histograms when it has one Charged Move and when it has two. If a second Charged Move improves its matchups, it might be one worth investing in.

Using The Pokemon Rankings

In the top-level rankings, you’ll see a score for each Pokemon. This score is an overall performance number from 0 to 100, where 100 is the best Pokemon in that league and category. It is derived from simulating every possible matchup, with each Pokemon’s most used moveset . Use this score to compare overall performance between Pokemon; for example, the difference between the #1 and #50 Pokemon may not be the same as the difference between the #50 and #100 Pokemon. This score also allows you to see the parity in different leagues and categories.

Trainer Battles feature a wide variety of scenarios, especially involving shields. In order to give a fuller picture, our overall rankings are derived from additional sets of rankings, where battles are simulated with different roles in mind. You can explore rankings for each of the following categories:

Different Pokemon may succeed in different scenarios, so use these categories to help determine when a particular Pokemon would be the most valuable.

Within each ranking, you’ll see four separate detail sections:

  • Fast Moves – Which Fast Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
  • Charged Moves – Which Charged Moves the Pokemon uses most in the league and category.
  • Key Wins – Which battles the Pokemon performs best in, weighed by the opponent’s overall score.
  • Key Counters – Which significant opponents perform best against the Pokemon.

Kyogre: Waterfall & Hydro Pump

Empoleon Deep Dive: Hydro Cannon In Pokemon Go!

It is rather surprising to see a legendary Pokémon that isn’t the most powerful. However, his slow moves and simplistic attacks put him lower than he should be, even with a max CP of 4,115.

Kyogre’s attacks fo the same DPS as Sharpedo and Gyarados but his wonderful CP and equally hard-hitting attacks make him a wonderfully varied Pokémon to work with, being great at attacks as well a defense.

At this level, its huge stats are too restricted to be terribly effective, and its typing/moveset isn’t as needed as it is in the Master League due to a lack of relevant Pokemon that it directly counters well

While it may seem like Combat Power or stats are the most important factors in Pokémon Go, movesets play a critical role as well. Movesets are the combination of the fast attack and charged attack your Pokémon uses in battles.

The wonderful, terrible thing about movesets is that they’re usually determined at random. The good news is that, with Technical Machines and Elite TMs, you change your old, terrible moves. But how do you know which movesets will help your Pokémon win at PvP Trainer Battles and decimate Gyms and Raids and which will make a fight simply unwinnable? Here’s the newly updated list! What Is An Elite Tm In Pokemon Go

    Pokemon Go

Elite TMs are essentially TMs except you can now pick which moves you get to choose. That means youll no longer be burning through other TMs to get the move you want. Not only can you use them to pick from standard moves, but Legacy moves, too as in moves that were exclusive to an event in the past.

    Alomomola: Waterfall & Blizzard

Alomomola, the Caring Pokémon, doesn’t actually care about any of the attacks that hit it. Alomomola has a disgustingly high HP stat, rivaling even Wailord in terms of bulk. This makes it an excellent choice for a defensive Pokémon, although its movepool is somewhat limited.

Waterfall and Hydro Pump are clearly a solid combination, as stated before. For other options, though, Alomomola is also capable of using Psychic, which is an incredibly efficient move in terms of energy consumption. Blizzard isn’t terrible either and gives Alomomola the ability to break dragon-types. It really comes down to preference, but Blizzard‘s coverage is too good to pass up.

What Special Moves Do The Pokmon Learn

If you evolve any of the following Pokémon during the event period, they will learn the following special moves:

If you dont already have a Swampert, Blaziken, Sceptile, Feraligatr, Salamence, Torterra, Infernape, or Empoleon with these moves, you should consider trying to grab one. The Community Day moves for these Pokémon are extremely strong!

    Floatzel: Waterfall & Hydro Pump

What puts Floatzel above others is how powerful both of these moves can be. Especially when taking into consideration the 20% bonus you get by having the same move types.

Waterfall does 16 DPS and can quickly prepare for its main attack, Hydro Pump which can deal 47.2 DPS. Although this isn’t as strong as Hydro Cannon, it firstly isn’t an Elite TM, and secondly, its refresh rate means it ultimately does more damage to enemies.

What About Types In Pokmon Go

How To Use: Empoleon! Empoleon Moveset – Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire / X&Y Guide

It’s also important to keep in mind types! While some Pokémon only have one type, most have two and all Pokémon can learn moves from multiple types. Although most Pokémon have a single moveset that is the best for their whole species, there are some Pokémon who have multiple sets. Take Chandelure, for example; Chandelure is a Fire and Ghost type and can be one of the best of either. If you’re using your Chandelure as a Fire type, you’ll want it to know Fire Spin and Overheat, but if you’re going for Ghost type, you’ll want Hex and Shadow Ball.

    Best Ampharos & Drapion Counters

Pokemon Go Gamepress Empoleon spoofer.online ...

    The last of Sierra’s second three potential Pokémon is Ampharos, an Electric-type Pokémon that is weak against Ground moves. Therefore, for this battle, we’re advising you to bring one of Garchomp, Landorus, Groudon or Excadrill. No worries if you don’t have those specific Pokémon, feel free to pick the strongest Ground-type Pokémon from your inventory, provided they have Ground-type moves for you to use.;

    Drapion is one of the last three Pokémon that Sierra may pick for the battle. It is a dual Poison/Dark-type Pokémon that is particularly weak against Ground-type moves. Similar to Ampharos, we’re recommending that you bring either of the Pokémon listed below.;

What Moves Does Empoleon Learn On Pokemon Diamond

Natural abilities Although Empoleon is a Water/Steel-type Pokémon, it can learn a variety of Water, Ice, Steel and Flying-Type attacks. It can also learn many moves involving claws, such as Metal Claw and Shadow Claw. It can learn Hydro Pump, a very powerful Water-type move.

Leftovers should be the only item considered as Empoleon would otherwise have no means of recovering its health. Instead of Ice Beam, Empoleon can use Grass Knot to obtain a stronger hit on bulky Water-types such as Slowbro at the cost of being unable to damage Grass-types such as Roserade and Shaymin.

    Seismitoad: Bubble & Earth Power

Seimitoad, the Vibration Pokémon, has incredible defensive typing and stats. Water/Ground is a combination that, while very weak to grass, can tank hits from many other types like a champ. As a defensive lead, Seismitoad isn’t a terrible option. Its best moveset utilizes both of its types with Bubble and Earth Power.

While Mud Shot is a faster attack, the energy gained by the two moves evens out and the extra type-coverage makes the difference in picking Bubble. Earth Power is a great attack that covers a number of types, including ones water can’t bust through. These two attacks combined make Seismitoad a force to be reckoned with.

His max CP is 3,391 and as previously mentioned, Waterfall has a DPS of 16, which is better than Gyarados’ Elite TM or even moves. Hydro Pump is just a great move that can refresh quickly and do a lot of damage.
