How To Get Mewtwo

Enter the Cerulean Cave and you will find one of the, thankfully, easiest dungeons for finding a Legendary Pokemon. There is a linear rock path that leads to water follow it.

Once you get to the water, Sea Skim and follow it until you see land to the north of you. Ignore that first set of land and continue following the water until you go all the way west. Land there and go up the ladder to the north of you.

Once you arrive upstairs, immediately go left and there will be a ladder there. Go down that ladder. In this small area, there will only be another ladder. Use that ladder to go down again.

There will be a linear path here following east and then south. You will see a body of water to your south ignore that. Continue heading east on the path and it will then lead you south.

It will take you up a ramp to the north. Follow this until you find another ramp down to your south.

This will continue east and south until you reach another ramp that goes up and then immediately another one that takes you down to some water. Use Sea Skim to go on the water.

Follow the path briefly west and it will take you to some land. Land here and you will be face to face with the level 70 Legendary Psychic Pokemon Mewtwo.

Pokmon Let’s Go: Cerulean Cave Second Floor 2f

This floor, 2F, is one open area with a large amount of ladders leading downwards, and a large amount of glowing patches, too. It also features one particular spot of interest.

That’s the large glowing crystal in the centre of the room. It seems to have particularly rare items in it, with a random chance of you getting a Max Revive or any of the three fossils and even a Master Ball, if you’re lucky! It respawns every few minutes like the others.

How To Catch Mewtwo In Pokmon: Lets Go Pikachu And Eevee

The single strongest Pokémon in Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! is the Psychic-type Mewtwo. It is so powerful, in fact, that the game wont even allow you to attempt to catch it until youve become the Champion of the Kanto region. Once youve defeated the Elite Four and secured your title as Champion, a new area of the game opens up to you, which is where Mewtwo is hiding.

This new area is Cerulean Cave, which you can get to by crossing the bridge to the north of Cerulean City, then using Sea Skim on the strip of water just to the left of the bridge and surfing down until you come across the opening to a cave with a Coach Trainer outside of it. Inside Cerulean Cave, there are plenty of strong wild Pokémon you may want to catch on your way to Mewtwo. On this first floor, there are several ladders leading up to the second floor. Take any of them they all lead to the same place. The second floor is one, big, wide-open area with a lot of ladders leading back down to the first floor. Youll want to take the ladder in the top left corner of this area, which will lead you back down to the first floor, but into an area you couldnt reach on the first floor previously. This new section of the first floor will have yet another ladder leading down, this time to the caves underground floor. Take this ladder and arrive on the caves bottom floor. From here, the path is pretty straightforward and will take you right to Mewtwo.

Battle Pokmon Master Green

Pokemon Let

After you catch Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave and make your way out, your rival will approach you. He will tell you about a gutsy female trainer whos also trying to catch Mewtwo. Once the talk is over, go back to the spot where you found Mewtwo. There, you will find Green.

Challenge Green and she will reward you with the Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y mega stones after you win the battle.

Note that you can re-challenge Green every day in front of the fountain in Cerulean City.

Whats The Best Moveset For Mew

Mew can learn Fast and Charge Moves of all types, making picking the best moveset equal parts math and feels. Mew wont be topping any attacker or defenders charts, so go for what the numbers say is best or your personal favorites.

Since, given the variety, it will take a ton of TMs to get what you want anyway, and it wont make a huge difference given Mews stats, you can simply keep what you get. If you really want to try your luck in the TM lottery, go for something that works well against whatever you typically fight the most, and have fun with it.

Where To Find Mewtwo In Pokemon Lets Go

First off, youll need to finish the game and become the champion of the Pokemon League. Once youve done that, youll be notified a rare pokemon has been spotted in a cave near Cerulean City. Thats the one in the northeast of the map. Once youre there, take Route 24 north. When you cross the bridge turn left and inspec the water in the canal. Use Sea Skim and follow the canal until you see a cave with a stone gate.

Enter the Cerulean Cave and make your way to the west of the first floor. Youll find a ladder leading up. On the next floor, look for a ladder going down in the northwestern corner. Youll end up back on the first floor, in a separated area with just another ladder, leading further down. This will take you to the bottom floor. Now all you have to do is follow the path and youll reach Mewtwo in no time.

After youre done battling it, youll get to the part where you throw balls at it. If you use a Master Ball, youre guaranteed to capture it. If you fail at capturing Mewtwo, youll have to defeat the legendary four again before it respawns.

How To Catch Mewtwo In Pokemon Go

Mewtwo was previously a regular fixture as an ex-raid Legendary but has now been replaced with Deoxys. The good news though is that while Mewtwo is not currently available in Raids, it will just be a case of waiting until it returns. Niantic continues to circle the Raid Legendaries and Mewtwo was present in late 2018 so well just have to be patient and await its return for 2019. Never fear though, youve got plenty of Pokemon Go Sinnoh Stones to find to keep you occupied for the next few months.

Pokmon Let’s Go: Cerulean Cave Basement B1f

The basement, B1F, has fewer items to find, but another spot like the large central cystal on 2F that has a chance of giving you a hidden Fossil or Max Revive.

Otherwise, this is where you’ll find and battle Mewtwo and, in a massive piece of fan service, battle the legendary Pokémon Trainer Green, too.

Green appears on the far left platform where you caught Mewtwo, once you’ve left and re-entered the cave having done so. She first throws Poké Balls at you, thinking you’re a wild Pokémon yourself! After that she’ll battle you, dissapointed that she lost out on the chance to catch the super-strong Pokémon.

If you defeat her – she’s one of the toughest trainers in the game – she’ll reward you with the two Mewtwo Mega Stones: Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, which is the only way to get them!

How To Earn The Mewtwo Master Title In Pokmon: Lets Go Pikachu & Pokmon: Lets Go Eevee:

Like with Meltan, the first thing you will need to do to even attempt at getting the Mewtwo Master title, is to capture the Level 70 Mewtwo from Cerulean Cave. Once Mewtwo is yours, you can then leave the cave completely, only to go back to the spot where you caught Mewtwo, to battle a certain trainer and obtain both Mega Stones for Mewtwo.

Getting the stones isnt a requirement for obtaining the Mewtwo Master title, but if you have Mewtwo in your party, it will allow the Pokémon to gain some much-needed EXP and maybe even level up. Although Mewtwo is not required to reach Level 100 for the title, you do need to have a Mewtwo with more than 9000 CP. So, be prepared to either stuff Mewtwo silly with Candy, chain combo catch a lot of Chansey, or do a lot of battles.

When you do eventually have a Mewtwo with more than 9000 CP, it is time to make your way toCinnabar Island and pay a visit to the Pokémon Mansion. Like we said in our Meltan guide, you will want to go up two floors and then descend down three floors to reach B1F

The Mewtwo Master can be spotted in a room, as you make your way left. You should have opened up a way inside the room, during your earlier visit. With your Mewtwo set in the top left position it is time to talk to the Mewtwo Master. After a few lines of dialogue and praise, the title of Mewtwo Master will be given to you. A video of the conversation can be seen here:

Finish Catching The Legendary Birds

Consigue a Mew y Mewtwo en Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu ...

The three Legendary Birds can technically be caught before heading to the Pokemon League Articuno in the Seafoam Islands, Moltres on Victory Road, and Zapdos at the Power Plant. While the first two are en-route though, Zapdos is pretty out of the way, meaning that many players skip catching it the first time around.

For those who didn’t find time to visit the Power Plant or, for whatever reason, didn’t catch Articuno or Moltress, doing so after becoming Champion is an absolute must. Each requires players to solve a puzzle to get to them, although they’re fairly easy to catch once they’ve been encountered since they cannot run away.
