Pokemon Go: Best Moves For Grumpig

Best Fast Moves For PvP In Pokemon GO

The first thing to keep in mind before even using a certain Pokemon is what type it is and what its weaknesses are. Grumpig is a pure Psychic-type which means it is weak to Bug, Dark, and Ghost-type attacks. Pokemon like Gengar or Pinsir will deal with Grumpig very easily. Grumping also has the advantage over Fighting and Poison-type Pokemon. Pokemon like Toxicroak and Muk can easily be taken care of by Grumpig.

The first fast attack Grumpig has access to is Charge Beam. Charge Beam is an Electric-type attack with a flat damage rate of 8. In Pokemon GO, Charge Beam is a slow attack that has a damage output of 7.3 health per second. However, Charge Beam generates a lot of energy with every use.

Grumpig’s next fast attack is Extrasensory. This move is generally recommended in all builds that do not prioritize the charged attack as it deals the most damage and is also boosted by the same type attack boost.

For charged attacks, the best option is Psychic. Psychic is Grumpig’s most powerful charged attack with a base damage of 90. Psychic also has a damage per second output of 38.6 hit points per second which makes it the strongest option for Grumpig’s charged attack in Pokemon GO.

A Special Mention For Mews Psychic Type Moves

Psychic and Psyshock, are Mews only charged moves which will benefit from STAB which means it will deal an additional 1.2x damage to any Pokémon it uses these moves against. This makes these the most useful moves in terms of general use. Psychic type moves however, have little use in the current meta beyond countering strong Fighting type Pokémon like Machamp. The main downside to having Psychic or Psyshock as Mews charged move, is that it has no fast moves that will also deal super effective damage to fighting types, so this makes Mew a particularly sub-optimal choice for countering Machamp.

Pokemon Go: Best Fairy

Fairy-type Pokemon, unfortunately, dont seem to enjoy the same glittering stature as they do in the main series. This might be due to Pokemon GOs combination of physical and special stats into one single stat, as Fairy-types typically excel in Special Attack and Special Defense and have very poor physical Attack. Regardless, theyll have some good use against the types that Fairy typically takes down, those being Dark, Fighting, and most notably, Dragon. But, often there are better choices against those types.

Without question, your best bet for a Fairy-type is going to be Gardevoir. Its Shadow version is easily the best Fairy-type generally speaking, though Togekiss outpaces it in overall TDO. Non-Shadow Gardevoir is also fantastic, ranking as one of the best Fairy-types just behind Togekiss, Xerneas, and its own Shadow variant. The fact that Xerneas doesnt have access to a Fairy-type fast move puts Gardevoir ahead in that respect, though. Once Mega Gardevoir is added to the game, itll be even better, though still sitting behind Togekiss TDO . As a generalist, youll want Charm + Dazzling Gleam, but Gardies Psychic-type moveset of Confusion + Psychic will do better against Fighting-types.

Analysis Of Inkay’s Charged Moves

Unlike the situation with Inkay’s fast moves, each charged move can be a decent choice, making the decision between them tough and very situational. Comparatively speaking, when the stats of Night Slash and Psybeam are compared, they each have pros and cons.

Night Slash will have greater visibility in longer battles, due to it possessing more maximum charges, meaning that it can be used more times before Inkay must recharge with fast moves. However, Psybeam possesses greater base damage, which can compensate for the extra charging time due to being able to knock out foes quicker. The DPS isn’t a great criterion for judgment here, as this stat is virtually the same for both of these solid attacks.

What players should do to determine the best charged move for Inkay is to take a look at their personal line-up to see what niche could be filled if players need a pokemon that deals Dark-type damage, they should choose Night Slash, but, conversely, those who need more Psychic-type firepower should choose Psybeam.

Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android.

Analysis Of Litleos Charged Attacks

Best Pokémon Go movesets for attack and defense [Updated ...

Interestingly, all of Litleos Charged Attacks possess the same Damage stat, meaning that it can be a bit trickier to decide upon which is the most useful in battle. As such, trainers will need to take note of the DPS stats of each attack as well as the type to come to a decision.

Firstly, Crunch is a respectable choice based solely on the fact that it is a Dark-type move and offers some coverage for Litleo if they go up against any kind of foe that resists Fire-type moves. When comparing the Fire-type moves, Flame Charge and Flamethrower, players may be a bit divided due to the amount of Energy Bars available. Flamethrower has fewer Energy Bars, which limits how much it can be unleashed and will more likely require additional charging to utilize, however, its attack speed should more than makeup for the extra charging needed and can take down foes faster than other Charged Attacks. Due to the greater overall damage output thanks to a higher DPS stat , Flamethrower is Litleos best Charged Attack.

What If You Don’t Have The Best Movesets In Pokmon Go

Since the introduction of the Raid Battle system in June 2017, you can get Technical Machines to change your movesets. Two of the possible rewards for beating Raid Bosses are Quick TM and Fast TM, which can be used to change Quick Moves and Charge Moves respectively. Regular TMs are completely random and cannot access Legacy Moves.

Legacy Moves are special moves that were once available for a Pokémon but are no longer. Sometimes they were removed when Niantic re-balanced the game. Some were only available on Community Day or in special Raids. Either way, if a Legacy Move happens to be the best possible move for a Pokémon and you don’t have it, you cannot get it with a normal TM. Before you use a TM on any Pokémon, you should always check to see if the move you’re changing is a Legacy Move and if that move is worth having. A lot of Legacy Moves don’t perform well, but some of them are the best moves in the game.

More recently, Niantic introduced Elite TMs. These TMs are rare, and often difficult to get or expensive, but allow you to choose from any move a Pokémon can have, including Legacy Moves. They aren’t random either. You get to choose the move. Because of how hard it is to get Elite TMs, you’ll want to save them for your very best Pokémon, but hey, now you can have a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball and Psystrike!

How To Get Elite Tms

Elite TMs can be obtained as the end-of-season rewards after reaching a certain rank in GO Battle League. Or at least until now, because there is no official confirmation that Elite TMs will be included in the rewards at the end of Season 6.

Aside from that, special shop boxes can contain Elite TMs on special occasions . You can only buy one per event, though.

How This List Is Calculated

The Pokemon on this page are listed by type in descending order of power. The metric used to decide their placement is DPS^3*TDO. This metric puts a heavy emphasis on DPS, but also takes into consideration TDO in order to attempt to discover the strongest overall performance of a given Pokemon when compared to others. Because of the way that this metric works, the Pokemon here are not always ordered according to which has the highest DPS. Its entirely possible that the highest DPS option may show up 2nd or 3rd within a type if its bulk is low enough. Its also possible that Pokemon not listed on this page could potentially find niche utility in future raids, but rest assured that the Pokemon near the top of these lists are exemplary candidates for their given types.

If youd like to see how these Pokemon rank yourself, we recommend that you take a look at the DPS/TDO Spreadsheet, which is what weve used to make these calculations.

Pokemon Go: Top 5 Moves To Get With Elite Fast Tms

Best Pokémon Go movesets as of August 2019

In Pokemon GO, Elite TMs are some of the most sought-after items in the entire game, allowing trainers to teach a Pokemon a new handpicked move.

When it comes to fast moves in particular, there is a massive amount in the game. Each Pokemon has different moves available to it, and picking the right one can be difficult as Pokemon GO players likely won’t want to waste an Elite TM.

Fast move selection will also depend on whether players are participating in PvE activities such as raids, Team GO Rocket battles, or PvP activities such as gym battles or Pokemon GO’s Battle League. Nevertheless, there are still great moves that meet both activities.

Legendary Or Mythical Pokmon

Before looking at the many Pokémon you can capture in the wild, were going to recommend you pick out one of the legendary or mythical Pokémon you have in your roster. Legendary Pokémon are tough to capture, and theyre not always available. If you have one in your collection that is lacking a suitable fast move, use the Elite Fast TM on it to improve it, giving you the chance to take on stronger five-star raids, Team Rocket members, or battle against other trainers in the Battle League during the Ultra or Master League competitions.

These are some of the best legendary Pokémon with their preferred fast moves.

Pokemon Go: Best Rock

Rock is home to some Pokemon that hit hard, making them great as generalists, as well as uber-powerful against the handful of Flying-type Legendaries with a weakness to Rock, like Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Lugia, Ho-oh, Yveltal, the Forces of Nature, and more. At lower tiers, theyll also do a great job against Mega Raids like both Mega Charizard forms, and against common gym defenders like Dragonite and Salamence.

Once considered the greatest Rock-type attacker, Tyranitar lost its Rock-type throne to Rampardos in the same way it lost its Dark-type throne to Mega Houndoom and some others. But, its Shadow form places it back on top, so long as it has Smack Down, which can be a harsh barrier, given its exclusivity. Youll also want to watch out for those all-too-common Fighting-types, which have plagued Tyranitar as a double weakness since its introduction in Gen II of the main series. The addition of Fairy-types hasnt helped, either.

For a more obtainable attacker that doesnt need some Elite TMs to be a viable Rock-type attacker, look to the Gen IV Fossil Pokemon, Rampardos. This hard-hitting dinosaur is what knocked Tyranitar off its throne, easily ranking #1 in DPS, even ahead of Shadow Tyranitar and Legendary Terrakion. However, Rampardos plummets down the list in terms of TDO, sitting behind even Pokemon that arent mentioned in this section. Itll hit really hard, but only a few times before going down to one of Rocks many weaknesses.

What Are The Best Pokmon Go Movesets To Change With Tms For Gym Battles

It’s hard to recommend anyone “waste” TMs on defenders anymore, given how the Gym system in Pokémon Go operates now. By punishing defenders with CP of 3000 or higher, limiting each Gym to only one Pokémon of the same kind at any given time, and making it much easier to take down Gyms, there’s very little room left for classical “Gym defenders.”

You’re better off investing TMs and stardust in Raid Boss counters since anything you put into a Gym defender will, at most, only slow down an attacker by seconds. Still, if having the best defense is a point of pride for you, and you have the TMs to burn, here are some of the top Gym defenders.

Pokemon Go: Best Water

If youre in need of a good Water-type, youre a bit spoiled with choice. There are plenty of great Water-types, as well as some great ones that arent even released yet. And, you can dominate without even needing a Shadow version or a Mega Evolution, as many Water-types measure up to the big fish in their vanilla forms.

The likes of Kingler, Feraligatr, and Kyogre need no special boost to sit with the upper echelons.

With Kyogre, youre looking at a massive TDO of 919.04, and thats before its signature move, Origin Pulse, is even in the game, OR its Primal Reversion, which will just be ridiculous when it arrives. Kyogre once ruled the seas before the release of Mega Evolution and Shadow Pokemon, but it still compares to them, and itll be back on top when its Primal Reversion is released.

Kingler was relatively unremarkable before Crabhammer was added, and that addition catapulted it to the hall of fame among Water-types. Its DPS almost outpaces Kyogre, though itll go down faster, making it a bit of a glass cannon in comparison. However, with a massive max Attack stat of 240, Kingler hits hard.

The absolute best of the best in the world of Water Pokemon are Mega Blastoise, Mega Gyarados, and Shadow Swampert.
