Sylveon has finally made its entry into Pokémon GO after years of waiting. Just like other Eeveelutions, Sylveon can be acquired through a name trick or by earning friendship hearts with Eevee.
Sylveon is the last Eeveelution to enter Pokémon GO, as the other seven have been possible to get for a while now. This has had people wondering when the fairy type would enter the game and now the wait is finally over. How To Walk With Your Buddy On The Map And Go On An Adventure In Pokmon Go
To earn hearts from your Buddy from certain activities – such as walking or battling together – they need to be visible on the map screen in ‘Adventure’ mode. They will then walk, fly or roll with you as you explore for a limited time.
To make them appear on the map screen, you have to make sure they are fully fed.
Feed your Buddy some Berries – three regular Berries will do – and their mood will increase, and you’ll be told they will have joined you on an Adventure.
They will join you on the map for around three hours, with a hunger gauge appearing around their icon next to the Trainer button in the bottom left corner.
Feel free to top that gauge up with Berries as you play, or just wait until it’s fully depleted before feeding them again.
Note if you switch between Buddies, their hunger meter will fully empty, so you’ll have to feed them again. While at this sounds frustrating, a benefit is you’ll be able to feed them again quicker if you switch back and forth, and earn some fast and easy Hearts.

Pokmon Go: How To Evolve Leafeon And Glaceon
The Gen 4 evolutions Leafeon and Glaceon can be evolved specifically by using Lure Modules at PokéStops. To do this, you need a Moss Lure Module for Leafeon and a Glacier Lure Module for Glaceon. These can be purchased for 200 coins in the in-app store and are sometimes available in quests.
Once you have the right module, go to a PokéStop without a currently active Lure and attach it there. Once the module is active, the outline on the Eevee evolution button should show the corresponding Pokémon. If it doesnt, youll need to get closer to the PokéStop. If the correct monster is visible, you can tap the button and perform the evolution.
How To Get And Use The Glacial Lure & Mossy Lure To Get Glaceon And Leafeon
The final current Eeveelutions available in Pokemon Go are Glaceon and Leafeon, and this duo has the most specific evolution method yet.
First of all, don’t forget that you can do the name trick once again to get Glaceon and Leafeon for the first time. As detailed above, name your Eevee Rea to have it evolve to Glaceon, and name your Eevee Linnea to have it evolve to Leafeon. After that, however, you’ll need to fulfil special requirements to evolve more of these Pokemon.
Specifically, in order to evolve more Eevee into Glaceon or Leafeon, you’ll need some new items: the Glacial Lure and the Mossy Lure. These two new types of Lure Module are available in the shop and will soon be appearing as Field Research Rewards. These lures exist to make you more able to catch different Pokemon – the Glacial lures in Water and Ice type Pokemon, while the Mossy attracts Bug and Grass types.
There’s an added benefit to these, however: when they’re placed, they can impact Eevee Evolution. Simply place one of the lures in a Pokestop if you place the Mossy Lure you’ll be able to evolve any Eevee you have into Leafeon while standing in that Pokestop’s radius . If you place the Glacial Lure on a Pokestop, that’s when you’ll be able to evolve into Glaceon – just remain within the Pokestop’s radius. This works even if you didn’t place the lure, too, so you can share this chance with other players.

How Should You Use The New Appraisal Feature
The new Appraisal feature is a great way to quickly discover how powerful your new Pokemon are. Finding out that an old favourite has a three star rating is incredibly gratifying.
It’s especially useful for when you’re comparing a bunch of the same Pokémon, as you can keep the stat appraisal screen open as you move between Pokémon. This allows you to quickly compare stats and star rankings as you try to decide which Pokémon to keep and which ones to release.
You can even search for Pokémon by their specific star tier, just like how you can search for them by name. To do this, you’ll need to search:
- 0* = 0 Stars
- 3* = 3 Stars
- 4* = 3 Stars with a red background / 100% Pokémon
The new ranking system makes it a lot easier to decide which Pokémon are worth investing your Stardust and Candy in. Though it’s still important to remember a Pokémon’s rarity and whether it’s one of the best Pokémon in the game.
Though by and large the closer to 100% this is the better, depending on the Pokémon, some individual stats are more important than others – so it isn’t the be all and end all.
For example, if you have a Snorlax – one of the best creatures to put in a gym with its high health – with a low HP stat, that makes it a less attractive proposition. But then again, because it’s rare, you might not have any alternative Snorlax to rely on. Of course, an average Snorlax will still perform better than others in its field, so it could still be worth Powering up.
How To Evolve Eevee Into Umbreon In Pokemon Sword And Shield
Umbreon is a Dark-type Pokemon and requires similar conditions as a Sylveon to evolve. Players need to increase their Eevees friendship level to three hearts and evolve it during night time, but trainers need to be careful because if their Eevee knows a Fairy-type move, then it will only Evolve into a Sylveon regardless of night or day. To delete a move, players can visit the NPC at the left counter inside any Pokemon Center in the game.

What You Need To Do When Evolving Sylveon
The method is a bit easy, but it may take you a bit of time. Much like the other evolutions, you need to raise your Eevees Friendship at the appropriate amount. The catch is that the Eevee needs to have a Fairy-type move learned so that it evolves into Sylveon the next time it levels up with the right amount of Friendship.
The good thing is that Eevee from Generation VI onwards has a Fairy-type move called Baby-Doll Eyes when it reaches level 9. It can also learn another Fairy-type move at level 29 which is Charm. All you need to do is to have just one of those two, and when your Eevee has a high enough Friendship, it will evolve into Sylveon the next time it levels up.

If you have a Fairy-type move on your Eevee, then all you have to do is to just increase its Friendship. It will take priority over Espeon or Umbreon when your Eevee levels up with a high amount of Friendship. In Sword and Shield, you can actually catch a Sylveon in the Lake of Outrage during a Max Raid Battle. You have to be really lucky to encounter it, let alone catch it.

Aside from the usual increase in spawns and the higher rate of finding a Shiny, this weekends Pokemon Go Eevee Community Day event will give trainers even more perks. From Friday, August 13 at 1 p.m. EDT to Monday, August 16 at 1 p.m. EDT, when Eevee evolves into its many evolutions they will learn an exclusive move. Below are the Pokemon-exclusive moves that will be learned during Community Day:
- Vaporeon: Scald
- Sylveon: Psyshock
- Eevee caught or hatched during this time will know Last Resort.
Also, evolving Sylveon will be much easier during the two-day event. More information on Sylveons evolution method is below, but obtaining the Fairy-type will only require seven friendship hearts instead of the usual 70.

Sylveon Name Trick Method In Pokemon Go
There is an easier way to get your hands on your very own Sylveon without needing to complete the above, though.
While this is limited to only being available for one Sylveon, youll simply need to name the pre-evolution to Kira, and ensure that youve got 25 Eevee Candy available to use.
- Once youve done this, the Fairy-types silhouette on the Evolve button should appear, indicating youre able to evolve them.
- If it doesnt appear, do not press Evolve as this may result in you ending up with another evolution.
Pokemon Go Sylveon Evolution Method Will Be Easier This Weekend
It will be much easier to evolve Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon GO this weekend, as the Eevee Community Day weekend will relax the evolution method for this Eeveelution. Between August 13-16, 2021, the heart requirement to evolve the character will be drastically reduced. As for the Eevees, those will only be more common during certain hours on August 14, 2021 and August 15, 2021.
Normally the evolution method to evolve Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon GO requires you to earn hearts via Buddy interactions. You make an Eevee your buddy and do things like feed it, take pictures with it, battle with it, and visit new places together to accrue hearts. When you have a total of 70, you can evolve it. Between August 13-16, 2021, you will only need seven hearts total.
Though, if you havent gotten one yet, there is another, even easier evolution method to use to evolve Eevee into Sylveon in Pokemon GO. All of the Eeveelutions have a name trick in the game. If you give the character that name, then choose to evolve it, it will essentially be forced to evolve into that character instead of a mystery one. If you name an Eevee Kira, then the status screen will show the Sylveon silhouette and let you evolve it to that character. This trick works once.

How To Rename Eevee To Evolve Into Sylveon Leafeon Glaceon Umbreon Espeon Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon
Evolving Eevee using the required 25 Eevee candy will produce a random evolution. However, you can control which type it turns into by renaming the monster beforehand:
- Rename “Kira” to evolve into Fairy-type Sylveon
- Rename “Linnea” to evolve into Grass-type Leafeon
- Rename “Rea” to evolve into Ice-type Glaceon
- Rename “Sakura” to evolve into Psychic-type Espeon
- Rename “Tamao” to evolve into Dark-type Umbreon
- Rename “Rainer” to evolve into Water-type Vaporeon
- Rename “Sparky” to evolve into Electric-type Jolteon
- Rename “Pyro” to evolve into Fire-type Flareon
There are some caveats here. This only works one time per evolution, so if you plan to use your Eeveelution in battle, make sure you’ve chosen an Eevee with favourable stats. The naming trick is currently the only guaranteed way to evolve Vaporeon, Jolteon or Flareon – once you’ve done it once, it’ll be up to random chance if you get another, regardless of what you’ve named it.

Regional Costume Pokmon In Pokmon Go
On Sunday, 20th June 2021, Niantic announced that Okinawan Kariyushi shirt Pikachu would be the first regional costume Pokémon in Pokémon Go, being only available to trainers in Okinawa in Japan.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Sylveon
While other Eeveelutions require walking a certain distance and evolving at a specific time of the day, Sylveon is all about friendship.
To get repeat Syvleons beyond the single-use naming method, you’ll have to get one as your buddy, and then accumulate 75 hearts with it. After that, the option should appear to evolve an additional Sylveon.
To get Sylveon as your buddy, you can take photos with it, play with it, feed it, spin new PokéStops all the usual shenanigans to earn hearts with a buddy, basically. You can earn a maximum of 20 hearts per day, so, in theory, you can evolve an Eevee into Sylveon in four days.

For the Gen 2 pair, it’s all about walking and time of day. Set Eevee as your buddy and walk 10km, then evolve it during the daytime for Espeon, or during the night time for Umbreon.

These evolutions are random so you just need to ensure you have enough candy and evolve as many Eevees as needed till you get the one you’re after.
