The most obvious Pokemon you wont be able to catch are the version exclusives. Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee have different Pokemon you can catch in the wild.
Exclusive to the Pikachu version include Sandshrew, Sandslash, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Growlithe, Arcanine, Mankey, Primeape, Grimer, Muk and Scyther.. The Eevee edition allows you to capture Vulpix, Ninetales, Meowth, Persian, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Koffing, Weezing and Pinsir.

You Can Add Spin To Throws Like In Pokmon Go
Just like in the Pokémon GO mobile game, a player can add spin to their Pokéballs when throwing them at wild monsters. This feature isnt super well telegraphed by the game, but it is present in the console titles and has the same effect as its mobile counterpart.
While curving a toss does make it more difficult to have a ball connect with a monster, it also increases the chances of actually capturing a creature. This added level of challenge is definitely appreciated as catching wild monsters can get a bit repetitive.
Bill Fuses With A Nidorino Instead Of A Clefairy
In the events of the games that start in the Kanto region, the genius Bill accidentally fuses with a Pokémon and gives the player an S.S. Anne ticket when they help the inventor defuse.
In the original games, its implied that he accidentally merged with a Clefairy, while in the Lets Go titles, he explicitly combines with a Nidorino. Maybe, this change happened because its easier to depict a Nidorino with more human-like features, but either way, this is still an unsettling event in these children’s games.

Lets Go Eevee: Exclusive Pokmon
Lets Go, Eevee has its share of exclusives as well. Specific to this game are the Vulpix, Meowth, Bellsprout, Ekans, Koffing, and Pinsir families. Once again, you can trade with your friends, but especially with Meowths fame in the anime, this might be the version to go with.
Another important note is that one of these exclusives, Pinsir, has a mega-evolution that you can buy a stone for in the Indigo Plateau near the end of the game. If you want an exceptionally powerful bug-type to face Elite 4 and dont have a friend to trade for it, this version is the only one you can easily use it in.
Lets Go Pikachu: Special Pikachu Moves
In addition to dressing your Pikachu up and having him ride on your shoulder through your journey, one of the big advantages to choosing Lets Go, Pikachu is that you can teach your partner Pokémon several moves that are exclusive to your special Pikachu.
There are move tutors in Cerulean City, Celadon City, and Fuschia City who will teach you these moves. The latter two also teach your Pikachu a flying and water move, attack types that Pikachus arent usually able to learn. Since its weaker and unevolved, moves like this can help you put out a little extra power.

How To Get Alolan Pokmon In Lets Go
There are two ways to obtain Alolan forms of Kanto Pokémon in Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! The simplest way is to trade for them via in-game trades with NPCs throughout your adventure. Various NPCs you encounter throughout your journey will offer to give you an Alolan Pokémon in exchange for its Kanto region counterpart. Most of these trades are available in both versions of the game, however, there are two exclusive Alolan Pokémon available for trade in each version of the game.
The second way to obtain Alolan Pokémon in Lets Go is to transfer them from the Pokémon Go mobile app. This option requires you to have reached the Go Park in Fuchsia City in game, as well as to have captured the Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

You And Your Partner Pokmon
In;Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu!, your partner Pikachu will always be by your side, growing and learning as you go. Pikachu can learn Secret Techniques to use outside of battle, like Chop Down, Sky Dash and Sea Skim to reach new places, as well as partner powers to use in battle!The more time you spend with your partner, the more itll grow to love you! You can pet, feed, tickle and dress up your partner Pokémon with different outfits, accessories and hairstyles. Good things might happen as the two of you become closer.

Where To Find Meowth In Pokemon Lets Go Eevee
They arent rare but they are small and can easily be missed. If you have made it to Vermilion City, there will be a woman near the Pokemon Fan Club who will ask you to bring her five of them. When you do that, she will give you an Arcanine which you cannot get except by trading in Pokemon Lets Go Eevee. Arcanine is huge and you can ride him if you select him as your partner Pokemon. For players of Lets Go Pikachu, you will need to trade for Meowth unfortunately. The person in Vermilion will ask you for Growlithes instead, which are easily found all over Route 6, right about Vermilion.

Red And Blue Have Totally New Teams
In the Pokémon Lets Go games, a player can battle the protagonist and rival from the first generation of Pokémon games. Named Red and Blue, respectively, its interesting to note that they have completely new teams from any other iteration of the characters.
This is a pretty fun change-up and, while the two are no less challenging than when theyre battled in other games, its unexpected that their parties would change after having basically the same pool of monsters for nearly two decades.

You Dont Battle The Pokmon Tower Marowak
This item is a bit more overt than some of the others on this list, but it’s a change that only players of the original games will notice. Instead of battling the ghost of Marowak at the top of Pokémon Tower, the monster simply departs after the Silph Scope reveals her true form.
All in all, it’s probably more thematically appropriate that Marowak departs after saying one last goodbye to her son than losing a battle against the player.
Lets Go Pikachu: Your Own Eevee
If you dont want to choose between Eevee and Pikachu and are okay with one that you cant dress up, then do keep in mind that there are other Eevees you can get in both versions. Going to Route 17, you will be able to find them in both Lets Go games, but with a rare rate of showing up.
Theyre hard to find, but you arent completely locked off from Eevees if you go with Lets Go, Pikachu. Also, unlike the starter Eevee, you can evolve captured Eevees regardless of your game into Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon too.

Theres Much More Freedom Than In The Original Games
While all Pokémon games have some degree of openness, the Lets Go titles let a player do the fifth, sixth, and seventh gyms in any order they want. A player can take on the ninja Koga, psychic Sabrina, or quiz master Blaine in whichever order they choose.
This level of freedom is largely due to gym badges no longer affecting a player’s ability to traverse water. Even if this section of the game might appear as linear as past portions, this hidden openness is definitely a nice touch.
Kangaskhan Spawns In The Rock Tunnel
Previously, the rare monster Kangaskhan could only appear in the Safari Zone in the first generation of Pokémon games. However, since this area doesnt let players capture Pokémon in Pokémon Lets Go, the powerful normal-type monster appears in the dimly lit Rock Tunnel instead.
Unfortunately, she only has a one percent chance of spawning, so players will need to commit a good deal of time to catching this monster. Longtime fans of the series will also notice that this is where Kangaskhan appeared in the second generation of games.

Potions Have Their Generation Vii Healing Values
Pokémon Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! are a part of the seventh generation of Pokémon games, like Pokémon Sun,;Moon, and their enhanced versions. So, while the games loosely follow the events of the originals, other elements are in line with the latest titles.
For instance, the amount of HP that potions recover corresponds to the amount healed in Pokémon Sun and Moon, instead of the original games. So, while Super Potions heal for the improved 60 HP, Hyper Potions sadly only restore 120 health.
Most Gym Leader Designs Are Based On Firered And Leafgreen
While most gym leader designs in the Pokémon Lets Go games are slightly different from any other interpretation of the characters, most of them draw heavy inspiration from their Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen designs.
Brock is wearing an almost identical outfit to the one he wore in the third generation and Sabrinas purple-burgundy attire most closely resembles her third generation;color scheme. Since FireRed and LeafGreen are also remakes of the original Pokémon games, it makes sense that the character designs would be rather similar.

You Can Catch Cubone In The Pokmon Tower
In a slightly morbid change from the original games, Gastly and Haunter arent the only wild Pokémon present in the spooky Pokémon Tower. Theres now a 10 percent chance for Cubone to spawn on any floor where wild monsters appear.
Considering the events of the game, where a Cubone says goodbye to its mother in the Pokémon Tower, the monsters presence here is a bit dark,;so it makes it a bit easier to catch the solid, ground-type monster with some unique attacks.
You Can Catch Grimer In The Power Plant Like In The Anime
In the Pokémon anime, Ash catches his very affectionate Muk in a power plant. In Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Lets Go, Pikachu!, a player can catch Muk and its pre-evolution Grimer in the hidden Power Plant.
This was a fun reference in Pokémon Yellow and is still a nice wink to the player all these years later. Sadly though, Muk is a version exclusive monster and Lets Go, Eevee! will not find this big sludge monster naturally in their playthrough.

Lets Go Eevee: Your Starting Partner Eevee
If you want a starting partner thats fully new to;being a starter;in the series, Lets Go, Eevee replaces that Pikachu with the normal-type Eevee. This furry fox was the starter Pokémon for your rival in the original Pokémon Yellow, but now you finally get your turn.

Its important to know that neither the Eevee or the Pikachu in the Lets Go games can evolve, so if you choose this one be warned that you wont have access to Eevees eight evolutions. Nonetheless, if you want to start a Kanto adventure with a Pokémon thats never been given to you from the start, this game will suit you best.
Transferring From Pokmon Go
The other way to obtain Alolan Pokémon in your Pokémon Lets Go game is by transferring them from the Pokémon Go mobile app. To do this, you need to go to the Go Park, which is located in Fuchsia City. This replaces the Safari Zone from the original versions of the Gen 1 Pokémon games.
This feature allows you to get some of the Alolan forms earlier than you would otherwise. It also lets you complete your collection by transferring Pokémon that arent available in your version of the game. You may also want to do this to have extras of your favorites, or if you want to create a living Pokédex featuring each Pokémon alongside their evolved forms.

Lets Go Pikachu: Exclusive Pokmon
The most common differences in any Pokémon game are the Pokémon themselves, as some species are only available in Lets Go, Pikachu that you cannot find in Lets Go, Eevee, and vice-versa. For Lets Go, Pikachu this includes the Sandshrew, Oddish, Growlithe, Mankey, Grimer, and Scyther families.
If you do wish to truly catch em all, you can always trade with friends to get these. But if any of them are your favorites and you want to include in your team, youll have to make some choices.
Lets Go Eevee: Alolan Vulpix And Alolan Meowth
Lets Go, Eevee has its own in-game trades for Alolan versions, but these revolve around its version-exclusive Pokémon. The first of these is Alolan Meowth, who evolves into Alolan Persian and is the only pure Dark-type in the Let’s Go games.

Second is Alolan Vulpix, who is both Ice-type and Fairy-type and evolves into the fast and powerful Ninetales. This is an especially strong Pokémon and has two types that are quite rare throughout the rest of the game, and worth going after if you have this version.

‘pokmon Let’s Go: ‘ How To Get Alola Pokmon
Alola Pokémon were a new feature added to the series when Pokémon Sun and Moon released and now you can get them in the new games, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee.
There are two methods to getting Alola Pokémon into Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee. You can transfer them from your Pokémon Go account, which is the easiest way to get them in. Follow our step-by-step tutorial to transferring Pokémon to Let’s Go, here.
Or you can find special NPCs who will trade them to you. Here’s all of the Alola NPCs in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee that you’ll want to get acquainted with and where to find them.

ALOLA POKEMON LOCATIONS
While on your Pokémon Let’s Go adventure you will find NPCs that come from the Alola Region. These characters are all in Pokémon Centers across the Kanto Region and will offer a trade with you.
They are offering an Alola Form of a Pokémon for the Kantonian version. Simply trade them your Kanto Pokémon for their Alola one and you’ll have yourself a new variation of that species.
Trainers can perform this trade as many times as they want.
Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are available now for Nintendo Switch.
Oddish / Gloom / Vileplume
So, now you may be wondering what the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu exclusives are, and your first is the little leafy delight that is Oddish – and his slightly less delightful evolution Gloom, and then the back-to-being-cute-again Vileplume. You’ll only find Oddish and co in Let’s Go Pikachu, so Eevee owners will want to grab an Oddish or two in Pokemon Go ahead of time.

Dratini And Dragonair Float
This bit of information is easier to spot if you decide to add a Dratini or Dragonair to your party, but totally missable if you dont decide to train the dragon-type monsters. Both of these Dragon Pokémon float through the air when taken out of their Pokéball, despite neither of them having a flying type or ever possessing the Levitate ability.
They are usually only found in the water, though, and are described as creatures of legend in the games, so maybe their ability to swim through the air plays into their magical status.
Pokemon Lets Go Pokedex
It has been three days since the release of Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee. Consequently, a lot of Pokemon trainers will have, or be close to, defeating the Elite Four.
Upon completion one of the next goals is to catch em all. We list spawn locations for every Pokemon in Lets Go. However, before we do that we discuss which Pokemon cannot be caught organically in Pokemon Lets Go.

What Are Alolan Pokmon
Alolan forms are regional variants of certain Pokémon species found in the Alola region, which were originally introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon for Nintendo 3DS. Since the Alola region is a remote island separated from the mainland, certain Pokémon species adapted to the different environment and look a bit different from their Kanto counterparts. These Pokémon have different types than the original versions, so having both forms may put you at an advantage when assembling your team for certain important battles.

Where To Find Meowth In Pokmon Let’s Go
Meowth is a version-exclusive Pok émon, meaning players can only catch a Meowth in Pok émon Let’s Go Eevee, and not Let’s Go Pikachu.;
Players will be able to easily catch a Meowth in Let’s Go Eevee rather early on in the game. Outside of Cerulean City, past Nugget Bridge, there are two areas of grass to the left of the bridge. Meowth will spawn in those grassy areas.
Pok émon Let’s Go Pikachu players, on the other hand, will be unable to get a Meowth naturally during their own playthrough of the game. They will need to trade with a Pok émon Let’s Go Eevee player;
