The Mega Timeline Continues A Few Years After X And Y
Games: Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon
We continue forward on the Mega Timeline to Pokemon Sun and Moon, plus their Ultra versions. How do we know a few years have passed? Unfortunately, Matsumiyas tweet stops at X and Y, but luckily, a couple of characters from former games appear in Sun and Moon, helping give us an idea of where these games fit into the series.
Most notably, Sina and Dexio two assistants to X and Ys Professor Sycamore appear in the game. Theyre on the search for the Legendary Zygarde, and, after you battle them, Dexio comments: This battle reminded me of us in the past and that group of five young trainers. The five young trailers hes referring to are seemingly the five main adventure friends in X and Y.
Sun and Moon also feature the Battle Tree, where trainers Red and Blue make a cameo appearance. Yes, the main characters from the original games return, and their new avatars are aged up fairly significantly. They should have according to this guesstimated timeline aged around 17 years since the events of Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, which seems reasonable.;
There are also various other trainers from the other games that appear at the Battle Tree, including: the second boss of Team Phasma, Colress; Pokemon Champion Cynthia, who appeared in Diamond and Pearl, as well as Black and White 2; and Grimsley, a member of the Unova Elite Four .;

All The Main Pokmon Games In Chronological Order
Were you there when it all started?
Designing a game is one thing, but creating a franchise and turning into an empire is another.
While it may be relatively easy to attract masses during the information age, it was a whole different world in the 90s. Pokémon first came out as an RPG for Nintendos Game Boy, and after a local launch in Japan, the attention surrounding the future third best-selling video game franchise started to increase.;
The anime adaptation of the first titles allowed the Pokémon fever to cross continents. Alongside early adaptors, a chunk of the player base was introduced to the series through the anime series, which also shaped many fans childhoods.;
The Pokémon franchises core titles were released in generations. This meant that each game had different Pokémon and characters. This evergoing cycle kept the masses coming for more while also increasing the Pokédexs size. Trainers naturally wanted to continue catching them all, and they were also hooked by the new storylines.
Theres no doubt that excellent developers took part in making each Pokémon game, but theres another factor that was key to the franchises success. Controlling the hype and enthusiasm around your franchise is another critical factor that makes or breaks series. Too much or too little of anything can easily reduce players interests, and Pokémon did it just right.
Here are all the Pokémon games from the core series in chronological order.

Should I Wait For The Next Generation Of Pokmon Games To Come Out
A. That depends on why you are looking for a Pokémon game. If you are a fan of the Sinnoh region in general or the old Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum games, you could check out the upcoming Pokémon titles and consider a pre-order if that is right for you. The core series games Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which are remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, are coming out later in 2021, while Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set to debut in 2022.;
How To Watch Pokmon Movies And Series In Chronological Order
Although the Pokémon series and movies are not the roots of this franchise, its certainly a good way to get to know this great world and to become a fan of it all.;
The best way to follow the Pokémon story is to watch the movies and series in the order they were released. That being said, well split them up a bit so youll know how to follow each stage.;

How Long Will It Take To Binge
If youre only going to watch the Pokémon series thus far, youre going to have to spend 21 days, 9 hours, and 30 minutes in front of the screens. We recommend that you split it over a longer period of time to handle this whole list of shows.;
If youre also going to watch the movies, youll spend another 31 hours and 48 minutes.;
Do You Want A Main Title Or Spinoff Adventure
Main Pokémon titles let you become a trainer and collect Pokémon for battling. However, not all Pokémon games are part of the main series of games. Instead, there are a number of successful and fun spinoff series for avid Pokémon fans.
Pokémon Go, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and New Pokémon Snap are a few spinoff titles currently available, and some fans are currently debating whether 2022s upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus will technically fall into the main series of games. Either way, the Pokémon series has and will continue to have a lot to offer beyond the usual formula.

Pokmon: Lets Go Pikachu And Pokmon: Lets Go Eevee
- Release Date: November 16, 2018;;;;;;;;;;
- Platform: Nintendo Switch
Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go Eevee! are the first Pokemon games for Nintendo Switch.
The gameplay is a blend of Pokemon Yellow, the first generation special, and Pokemon Go, the insanely popular AR mobile game that took over the world.
The game takes place in the original Kanto region with the 151 first gen Pokemons and a few from Alola island.
The player started with either Pikachu and Eevee, based on their version of the game, and the starter Pokemon can ride on the trainers shoulders.
Catching Pokemons was pretty similar to Pokemon Go, the players had to swish their Joy-Con to throw a Pokeball and capture a Pokemon. However, the AR element was missing.
While Nintendo includes it in the main series, most of the players and professionals regard Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go Eevee! as a side title.

Three Years Later Main Timeline
Games: Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum
Red the Champion of Kanto withdraws from his place atop the Elite Four and retreats to Mt. Silver. A volcano erupts on Cinnabar Island. A disbanded Team Rocket attempts to rise up once more. These are, of course, the events that lead into Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal.;
Gold and Silver directly reference Team Rockets attempts to bring back their leader Giovanni, who went missing three years prior, confirming the time gap between generations. Continuity. Again, the remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver can be seen as replacing the original versions of the game as they include extra content.;
Also coinciding with the events of Generation 2 are the main games for Pokemon’s Generation 4 Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. How do we know this? We have Matsumiyas infamous Tweet to thanks.;
What Are The Best Pokmon Games Of All Time
Picking out the best Pokémon games of all time is a pie in the sky, especially because our favorite Pokémon journeys have always been the ones that were the most personally important to us. Pokémon as a game series has evolved over time, with mainline games improving or just changing drastically and countless spinoff titles sporting the Pokémon name.
When it comes to Pokémon games that are currently in production, Pokémon Sword and Shield stands out as the best mainline Pokémon game available on Nintendos primary console: the Switch. Players explore a new region, collecting Pokémon and battling with friends and foes, as usual.
