How to Get Alolan Pokemon WITHOUT Transferring in Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee

There are two ways to obtain Alolan forms of Kanto Pokémon in Lets Go, Pikachu! and Lets Go, Eevee! The simplest way is to trade for them via in-game trades with NPCs throughout your adventure. Various NPCs you encounter throughout your journey will offer to give you an Alolan Pokémon in exchange for its Kanto region counterpart. Most of these trades are available in both versions of the game, however, there are two exclusive Alolan Pokémon available for trade in each version of the game.

The second way to obtain Alolan Pokémon in Lets Go is to transfer them from the Pokémon Go mobile app. This option requires you to have reached the Go Park in Fuchsia City in game, as well as to have captured the Pokémon in Pokémon Go.

How Many Trainers Are Needed

Alolan Exeggutor can be defeated by solo trainers. Your best best is to go in with a pre-established team using the above counters. Niantics suggestions prioritize Defense but you will want to prioritize Attack to complete solo Tier Three raids.

Since Exeggutor is an evolved form, I would suggest using Pinap Berries to catch it in order to maximize the amount of Candy you earn.

Pokemon Go Alolan Pokemon: How To Catch Every Alolan Form Including Shiny Alolan Pokemon

Pokemon GO 0.107.1 APK tear down: trading, new badges ...

While Pokemon Go is currently limited to the first few generations of Pokemon, some of the Pokemon from the most recent full-blown release in the main series are available out in the world – Alolan Pokemon. Here’s how to catch some of Pokemon Go’s Alolan Pokemon forms.

Despite the fact that Pokemon Go is currently angling towards getting up to gen 4 of Pokemon, there are a few gen 7 Pokemon available in Pokemon Go – Alolan Pokemon. These unique Pokemon are different forms of breeds that you’ll already be familiar with, first discovered in Alola, the setting of Pokemon Sun and Moon. On this page, we’re going to explain how to get your hands on all of the Pokemon Go Alolan Pokemon Forms in the game – plus explain how these new Pokemon types differ.

Keep in mind that Alola Pokemon are new versions of existing creatures. As such they’ll show up in your Pokedex as different forms of Pokemon you will have already seen. They don’t have a different Pokedex entry, but rather are treated as an offshoot of the existing entry for the Pokemon they’re related to. In a sense, this works similar to how the Pokedex handles Shiny Pokemon and the different forms of multi-form Pokemon like Castform.

With that noted, let’s get into listing which Pokemon have Alolan forms…

How To Get Every Alolan Form Pokemon In Pokemon Go

We do actually list a method of getting every single Pokemon Go Alolan Pokemon in the handy table above alongside their stats and pictures, but just for the avoidance of any confusion at all we also wanted to plainly list the methods you can use to catch Alolan Pokemon in text form – nothing beats a nice bullet point list, after all.

Ultimately, a lot of catching the Alola form Pokemon is going to be down to sheer luck – many of them are encountered in the wild or hatched from 7km Pokemon eggs, and unlike with, say, Eevee Evolution, there’s no way to manipulate this to get the result you want – you just have to keep trying. Some are more guaranteed, however – but they’ll also require you party up with some other players and tackle a difficult raid battle.

As of June 2019, all of these Alolan Form Pokemon have shiny variants as listed on our Pokemon Go shiny checklist, too – any encounter has a small chance to be a shiny one. Here’s how to get them all:

Where To Find Alolan Exeggcutor

The weird palm tree on legs that is the Alolan Exeggcutor can only be obtained quite late in Pokemon Lets Go. Youll have to wait until near the end of the game on Indigo Plateau, and then look for a slightly geeky guy in the Pokemon Center there. Hell trade you a regular Exeggcutor for the palm tree version at level 46. Note that the Alolan Exeggcutor cannot be evolved.

How to get one

You can only get an Alolan Vulpix in Lets Go Eevee, and in Lets Go Pikachu, you can only get one through trading. You can get an Alolan Vulpix in routes 5, 6, 7, and 8. However, the encounter rate for these Pokemon can be average to low, so just be patient with it. On Route 7 and 8, you can encounter an Alolan Ninetales if youre lucky, but thats only 1%, so good luck with that.

Using an Ice Stone is still the way to go. You can get two Ice Stones for free, with the first one in the Pokemon Tower on the southwest corner of 5F. The second one is located in the Seafoam Islands in B2F in the south area. You can even buy them later in the Celadon City Shop.

What Are Alolan Forms

Alolan Pokemon are regional variations of the classic Kanto, or Gen 1, Pokemon. Theyre named after the Alola region, which was introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Its a tropical region, so these Gen 7 Alolan Pokemon have adapted to these tropical surroundings, with new physical forms, types, and stats.

As for their appearance in Pokemon Lets Go, unlike most Pokemon, the Alolan forms cannot be caught in the wild. Instead, they can only be traded for their Gen 1 equivalents throughout the game.
