The BEST Ultra League PVP PokeÌ?mon in PokeÌ?mon GO! (GO Battle League Guide)

Having a tough time battling gyms? Well, Reddit user Kyurun figured out how to guarantee your evolved Pokemon will have over 1,000 CP. Turns out, your unevolved ‘Mon needs to have a minimum amount of CP before it can evolve. Refer to the handy chart above to find what those numbers are! It’s not exact, however. You may evolve a Raichu with a CP number outside of the predicted range. For more accurate results, you’ll have to pay attention to your Pokemon’s IVs

Jellicent Has A Weird Typing For Excellent Counter Strategies

Jellicent is a Ghost and Water-type Pokemon. At Level 50, its Max CP is 2,644, its Attack is 159, its Defense is 178, and its Stamina is 255. Its best Quick moves are Hex and Bubble while its best Charge moves are Bubble Beam , Ice Beam , and Shadow Ball .

One of Jellicent’s biggest strengths is how well it can counter all of the other Water staples in the meta including the constantly present Azumarill. While it has a bit of a weird typing, it does boast resistances to eight other Pokemon types as well. Combined with its high Stamina, this can make Jellicent a solid wall that is hard to get past.

Complete Research Tasks To Gain Bonuses

Field research tasks are essentially a list of quests given to you when you spin a Pokestop, like, “Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon,” or, “Catch 10 Pokemon with Weather Boost.” Completing them successfully gives you various bonuses including Stardust, items, and encounters with rare Pokemon like Jynx. There are currently three kinds of tasks:

  • Field Research: These are basic goals with a single objective. You get one of these a day and they’re usually something simple like spinning a Pokestop.

  • Special Research: These tasks are more story-based and give you multiple goals that require several steps to complete, like catching and transferring a Pokemon.

  • Research Breakthrough: These tasks are based on collecting stamps and give you rewards like Stardust, items, and rare Pokemon encounters.

  • You can only have up to three tasks at a time, but don’t worry, you can trash a task if you think you can’t complete it successfully. Clearing a task allows you to pick up a new one.

But Wait What The Heck Is A Lucky Egg

It’s an egg that’s lucky! Really, it’s filled with happiness and most importantly, grants you double the amount of experience points you can gain for 30 minutes at a time. You can only buy these in the Shop, with Coins. If you’ve got a couple Pokemon you’re almost ready to evolve, save up those candies until you’ve got a Lucky Egg, then evolve them all one after another while the Lucky Egg’s dank XP aura is in the air to double down on that extra CP and XP.

Pokemon Go: Best Fighting

IS THIS THE BEST TEAM IN ULTRA LEAGUE PREMIER CUP FOR ...

Fighting is currently one of the best types in the game. It’s dominated by Pokemon that hit fast and hard, and it serves as the weakness to many strong Pokemon, including Dark- and Steel-types, as well as the ever-popular Normal-type gym defenders like Blissey and Slaking. It looks like Fighting will remain a dominant time for the foreseeable future, as well, unless there’s some extreme meta shift, which is unlikely.

The best Fighting-type is probably no surprise: Shadow Machamp. This Gen I punchy friend has long been considered one of the best Fighting-types in series history, and its Shadow boost just makes it even better. With access to some of the best Fighting-type moves, as well as Rock Slide for coverage against Flying-types, Sh. Machamp isn’t going down without a fight. Even without the Shadow boost, regular Machamp sits at the top too, just slightly behind some newer introduced Pokemon like Lucario, Blaziken, and Mega Lopunny. But, it’s fast, has decent bulk, and hits hard, so it’s still a terrific option, especially given how abundantly common Machop is.

The first of many Fighting-type Mega Evolutions to see release in GO is Mega Lopunny. It’ll likely lose some places in the ranking when others like M-Lucario and Mega Mewtwo X are released, but for now, Mega Lop is a sure bet. With a max Attack stat of 282, it’s definitely a Pokemon worth adding to your team, even if it won’t be one the best for long.

Pokemon Go: Best Rock

Rock is home to some Pokemon that hit hard, making them great as generalists, as well as uber-powerful against the handful of Flying-type Legendaries with a weakness to Rock, like Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Lugia, Ho-oh, Yveltal, the Forces of Nature, and more. At lower tiers, they’ll also do a great job against Mega Raids like both Mega Charizard forms, and against common gym defenders like Dragonite and Salamence.

Once considered the greatest Rock-type attacker, Tyranitar lost its Rock-type throne to Rampardos in the same way it lost its Dark-type throne to Mega Houndoom and some others. But, its Shadow form places it back on top, so long as it has Smack Down, which can be a harsh barrier, given its exclusivity. You’ll also want to watch out for those all-too-common Fighting-types, which have plagued Tyranitar as a double weakness since its introduction in Gen II of the main series. The addition of Fairy-types hasn’t helped, either.

For a more obtainable attacker that doesn’t need some Elite TMs to be a viable Rock-type attacker, look to the Gen IV Fossil Pokemon, Rampardos. This hard-hitting dinosaur is what knocked Tyranitar off its throne, easily ranking #1 in DPS, even ahead of Shadow Tyranitar and Legendary Terrakion. However, Rampardos plummets down the list in terms of TDO, sitting behind even Pokemon that aren’t mentioned in this section. It’ll hit really hard, but only a few times before going down to one of Rock’s many weaknesses.

Pokemon Go Attackers List In 2021

Our top 10 picks for the best attackers alongside their best moves and type advantages in Pokemon Go are as follows:

Rank

As always, youll want to take typing into consideration. The Legendary Water-type Kyogre may feature on our list, for example, but it will always be impacted when going against a strong Electric-type or Grass-type opponent.

Tropius Has A Typing Unlike Any Other

Tropius is a Grass and Flying-type Pokemon. At Level 50, it has a Max CP of 2,194, an Attack of 136, a Defense of 163, and a Stamina of 223. It has two good choices for Quick moves, Air Slash and Razor Leaf . Its best Charge moves are Leaf Blade and Aerial Ace .

Tropius offers an interesting package in the Great League, due to its Grass/Flying-type combination. This makes Tropius effective against the other Grass-type Pokemon that appear often, as well as Fighting-types. However, players should watch out for Ice-type moves.

How To Start Battling In Pokmon Go

Pokemon GO Battle Leagues are *the* new PvP format which will see players take part in the new PVP Trainer Battles. The Pokemon GO trainer battles will take place in different leagues. Players have to choose one of the three leagues before taking part but each league has a maximum Combat Power limit.

Great, Ultra and Master League explained:

  • Great League: 1,500 CP limit per Pokemon

  • Ultra League: 2,500 CP limit per Pokemon

  • Master League: No CP limit per Pokemon

The Official Pokemon GO Twitter handle wrote:

“While Pokémon with high CP might be a big advantage in Master League battles, Trainers will have to think more strategically when battling in the Great and Ultra Leagues, where there are specific CP limitations.”

This means that players are actually encouraged to analyse which creatures they would choose to bring into PvP battles!

Providing players are able to build up enough energy, Trevenant serves as an effective counter to many of the most popular Pokemon used in Great League. These include Swampert, Azumarill, and Galarian Stunfisk and help make the Pokemon a great all-rounder. It could perhaps do with being a bit bulkier, but is a solid pick nonetheless.

  • Trevenant
  • Medicham
  • Galarian Stunfisk
  • Shadow Machamp
  • Scrafty

  • Compared to the previous season, the big exclamation point of this list is Trevenant. This vexed Pokémon that might as well have come out of The Lord of the Rings didnt come into play until the 2021 Halloween event and has been blowing up the meta ever since. Its dual typing as a Ghost and Grass monster gives it six resistances , and those types are commonly played in Great League, which is as valuable an asset as it sounds.

Umbreon’s best Quick move is Snarl , while its strongest Charge moves are Last Resort and Dark Pulse . It is strong in the Great League because the super low attack means a super high defense. Best Pokemon In Pokemon Go

While the below Pokemon are all solid choices, the basics still remain: Youll need to make sure your Pokemon has decent Attack, Defense, and Stamina IV stats by getting it appraised. Make sure to also spend time powering it up for maximum potential before letting it loose on the world.

Here are our picks of the best based on everything from stats, max CP potential, weaknesses, our own experiences with the game, and how well theyll actually perform in battle.

    Pokemon Go: Best Electric

Legendaries and Megas reign supreme over the Electric-type category, with only Shadow Electivire managing to eke in. Still, with only one weakness and some amazing super effective damage against Flying- and Water-types, Electric-types can cover a lot of ground.

Among these Electric-types, Shadow Raikou is, without challenge, the best. Its max Attack is a bit lower than Zapdos’, but it doesn’t even matter with the amount of extra damage its moveset can do. Wild Charge outclasses Thunderbolt completely, and Raikou has more max Defense, meaning it’ll stick around a bit longer. Sure, Zapdos resists Electric’s only weakness in Ground, but it trades that out for weaknesses to Ice- and Rock-type moves.

On the topic of Zapdos even though it’s a bit behind Shadow Raikou, Zapdos’ Shadow variant is by no means way worse. It comes in a close second or third situationally, with less DPS than Sh. Raikou and Sh. Electivire, but more TDO than the latter. As we said, Zapdos negates Electric’s weakness to Ground, but it has a weakness to Rock and Ice instead, which can be good or bad, depending on what the situation is. Unfortunately, both Shadow Raikou and Shadow Zapdos are extremely hard to get your hands on, so if you don’t have them, you might have to settle for another Pokemon from this ranking.

Pokmon Go Battle League: 12 Of The Best Pokmon For Winning The Great League

    Altaria in the Pokemon Anime.

The Pokémon GO battle league is here, and all of a sudden Im playing PvP again. I had largely given up on the feature when you needed to do it either in-person or with close friends, but now Im obsessively ranking up and questing after that rare Deino at rank 7. To do that, however, Im going to have to win, and its going to be hard. Right now, were working with the Great League, which is a vast, unwieldy beast. It requires that all Pokémon be under 1,500 CP, so the majority of Pokémon in the game are potential competitors. The list of solid options is wide, but some definitely exceed others. Lets take a look at some of the best competitors in the game.

A note first: these are good competitors regardless, but you need good competitors and a good team, both. Think about type coverage: if youre leading with Altaria, youll be weak to ice, so youll want a fighting type in the mix. There are a ton of potential fighters in the game, and this is not a comprehensive list. But choose a well-rounded team from this list and you can probably do well. Also, IVs dont really matter unless youre getting very, very granular, but CP does. You want to get as close as possible to 1,500 without going over.

Update:Azumarill wasnt on here originally, but added it on because it just kept causing me trouble when I came against it. A solid option.
