Other than for the pure joy of hanging out with your favourite Pokémon on the big screen, transferring Pokémon to Let’s Go from GO serves two pretty important purposes.
Firstly, and most importantly, it lets you fill out your Pokédex much faster than normal. Heck, you might even be able to transfer enough Pokémon right away to fill out your Pokédex immediately.
The second, and most exciting, reason to transfer Pokémon from GO to Let’s Go is to get your hands on the brand new Pokémon Meltan and its evolution Melmetal.

In this article, you’ll learn how to pair the Pokémon GO smart device app to Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee!.
Note
- Pokémon GO connects to the Nintendo Switch via Bluetooth Low Energy technology. The Poké Ball Plus is not needed to connect them.
- Once paired, Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region including their Alolan and Shiny variants can be moved from the Pokémon GO app into Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee! on Nintendo Switch.
- Pokémon cannot be moved from Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee! to the Pokémon GO app.
- There is no limit to the number of Pokémon GO accounts that can be tied to a single save file in Pokémon: Lets Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Lets Go, Eevee!.

How To Get Drifloon In Pokmon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
If you want to see or catch Drifloon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you must first defeat Team Galactic at the Valley Windworks east of Floaroma Town. This event occurs roughly four hours into the game and after you’ve earned the first Gym Badge.
After you’ve chased off Team Galactic, the scientist and his daughter will drop hints about a special Pokémon which visits the Valley Windworks every week.
This Pokémon is Drifloon and it only visits on Friday.
Thankfully, Drifloon is easy to find – appearing outside the Valley Windworks and waiting for you to start the match.
We recommend catching Drifloon, because evolving this Pokémon at Level 28 is the only way to obtain a Drifblim in both games.
You also need to at least see Drifloon to complete your Sinnoh Pokédex and, in the post-game, unlock the National Pokédex. It is possible to encounter a trainer with a Drifloon, but they are only present in the Hearthome City Gym – the fifth Gym – and you need to get one of the questions wrong to start this battle.
If you want to encounter Drifloon, but don’t want to wait a couple of days, you can change the date on your Nintendo Switch by visiting the ‘Date and Time’ option under ‘System’ in the console’s settings. Simply turn off the console’s ability to synchronise the clock via the Internet and you’ll be able to time travel freely!
How To Transfer Pokmon Between Pokmon Go And Pokmon: Let’s Go On Nintendo Switch
Follow the steps above to pair Pokémon GO with Pokémon: Let’s Go and you’re ready to start transferring Pokémon. It’s important to note though that you can’t actually access this feature until you reach Fuschia City, which is a little ways into the game.
If you’re already there, here’s how to transfer Pokémon:
- Boot up Pokémon: Let’s Go and head to Fuschia City.
- Visit the ‘GO Park Complex’ and speak to the attendant. Select the option to ‘Bring Pokémon’.
- Boot up Pokémon GO and hit the Poké Ball icon then tap ‘Pokémon’.
- Tap the Nintendo Switch icon at the top right of the next screen.
- Select the Pokémon that you’d like to transfer to Pokémon: Let’s Go and then hit ‘Send to Nintendo Switch’.
- Your Pokémon should then appear in GO Park within Pokémon: Let’s Go.

Can I Transfer Any Pokmon
Nope! As of this moment, you can only transfer Pokémon from the Kanto region, as well as Meltan, and Melmetal. However, Game Freak made it clear that if Pokémon: Let’s Go is sufficiently popular, that we could see other regions make the cut later on, paving the way for the rest of the Pokémon to join the game.
If I Lose Connection While Transferring Pokmon Will I Lose Them

To connect Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee with your Pokemon Go account, there are two methods you can use. The first method to connect the two is through Pokemon Go. To do so, first tap on the Pokeball icon in the bottom middle of the screen. Then, go to Settings . From there, scroll through and tap on Nintendo Switch. No, a Pokémon’s stats will be affected in the transition. This is due to the fact that Pokémon GO features only three stats in attack, defence, and stamina, but Let’s Go splits these into six. During the transfer, a Pokémon’s stats will adapt to the new system accordingly. It should perform comparably to its Pokémon GO version, despite the slight difference in stats.
How To Connect Pokemon Unite Accounts To Mobile
Upon launching Pokémon Unite on mobile, players will be given the option to log into their Nintendo Switch accounts. They will just need to enter the email and password associated with their account, and it will automatically begin to migrate the data over to mobile. There should be no changes to the original account after the link is established. As players continue to play matches on their mobile devices, the progress will carry over on the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

Drifloon Weaknesses In Pokmon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Explained
Drifloon will be at Level 22 and, since it’s a ghost and flying-type Pokémon, it will be weak to dark, electric, ghost, ice and rock-type moves. If you’re trying to catch it, make sure the Pokémon you use are around the same level as Drifloon to avoid accidentally knocking it out!
If you’re attempting to catch Drifloon early on in your playthrough, then we recommend using either Geodude, a rock and ground-type Pokémon, or the electric-type Pachirisu. Both of these Pokémon have moves which Drifloon is weak to and can be found in areas near the Valley Windworks.
Pachirisu can actually be caught in the grass next to the Valley Windworks, while you probably encountered quite a few Geodudes exploring the caves around Oreburgh City.

How To Send Pokemon Go To Lets Go
Once you have completed the first two steps of connecting each device you can now send Pokemon GO Pokemon to your Lets Go Game.

Now for the final and best part, how to get the pokemon in lets go that you sent from Pokemon GO.

You can send Pokémon from the Kanto Pokedex that you caught in Pokémon GO, they will appear in Lets Go within the area known as the GO Park. When players visit this area they can interact with the Pokémon and then capture them.

Apart from the smaller dimensions, it only supports handheld mode and does not support all games. Joy-Con controllers must be purchased additionally and the Switch Lite cannot be connected to a TV.
The positive thing is that it still supports Lets Go and can be paired with Pokemon Go. Just like Big Brother, in a few taps through the settings, you pair your Pokemon Go with a Switch and send your Pokemon to Go Park. Go Park an in-game location where you explore, interact with other Pokemon, and of course catch them.
However, for trainers, who play Lets Go on Switch Lite, some things may be a little harder.
For carefree playing and taking advantage of all the benefits of a game, such as a Partner Powers, trainers should buy Joy-Con controllers which is an additional cost. With that said, its a better idea to just invest a little more and buy a regular Switch.
