Event Featured Pokemon In Raids

Just like featured Pokemon hatching from eggs, there will also be featured Pokemon available in Raids during the entire Event. Heres a list of Pokemon appearing in Raids during the entire Event:

  • Meditite, Carvanha, Duskull, Skorupi, and Darumaka will be appearing in one-star raids.
  • Miltank, Octillery, Blaziken, Camerupt, and Absol will be appearing in three-star raids.
  • Latios and Latias will be appearing in five-star raids from Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. local time.
  • Mega Pidgeot, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Ampharos will be appearing in Mega Raids from Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. local time. Most importantly, this will be Mega Gyaradoss debut in Pokémon Go!

Pokemon Go 2021 Lunar New Year Timed Research Tasks Guide

Pokemon Gos 2021 Lunar New Year event kicks off at 10 a.m. local time on February 9. This event will allow players to encounter lots of red Pokemon in the wild and in Raids, among many other features. .

As part of this years Lunar New Year event, players can complete a series of Timed Research tasks to earn encounters with Pokemon like Tauros and Miltank, along with lots of Mega Gyarados Energy.

According to The Silph Road subreddit, heres what these tasks ask you to do, and the rewards youll receive for completing them!

Lunar New Year Part 1

  • Transfer 12 Pokemon – 10 Poke Balls
  • Catch 7 Fire-type Pokemon – An encounter with Charmander
  • Send 1 Gifts to Friends – An encounter with Goldeen

Final Rewards: 1,000 experience points, 20 Mega Gyarados Energy, and an encounter with Miltank


Lunar New Year Part 2

  • Power Up Pokemon 12 Times – 5 Razz Berries
  • Evolve 3 Fire-type Pokemon – An encounter with Torchic

Theres still time to catch Pokemon GOs Lunar New Year 2021 Event this year. Trainers can participate in the annual event with exclusive research, Mega Gyarados, and a chance at a Tauros encounter to celebrate the year of the Ox. Heres a look at the Pokemon GO Lunar New Year research quests and Field Research tasks and rewards.

Pokemon GO Lunar New Year is active from Tuesday, February 9 through Sunday, February 14, 2021, at 1 PM Local Time. During this time, red Pokemon appear more frequently in the wild, including Goldeen, Krabby, Magikarp, Magmar, Meditite, Miltank, Tepig, and others. Lucky Trainers can also pick up shiny Gyarados if fortune is in their favor.

Additionally, the 5km eggs now give you a chance at the following Pokemon: Bagon, Buneary, Ekans, Houndour, Litleo, Mankey, Mareep, Ponyta, Rattata, Tepig, and Torchic.

Lucky Trades & Friends

One of the best thing about the Lunar New Year 2021 Event is the increase in Lucky Trades and becoming Lucky Friends. So, not to mention that you should do everything you can, to become Lucky Friends, including swapping Gifts, battle in raids, and trade with them!

Also a reminder that, currently trainers can open 35 gifts per day, which gives a lot of opportunities for becoming Lucky Friends, even if you are unable to Raid or Trade Pokemon together. This is because the Lunar New Year Event bonus also includes an increase in random Lucky Trade, even when youre not Lucky Friends.

When Does The Quest Launch And How Do I Access It

The Lunar New Year 2021 quest runs from Tuesday, February 9 at 10am to Sunday, February 14 at 1pm .

That means that in order to complete it, you’ll need to carry out the tasks below before the end of this week.

The research quest consists of four steps, each comprising three individual challenges. You’re handed a reward for completing each step.

Top prizes on offer include two Tauros encounters and Mega Gyarados Energy.

What Types Of Pokmon Will Be In The Eggs

The Lunar New Year event will usher in a host of changes to Pokemon GO Raid bosses.

One-star raids will now feature Meditite, Carvanha, Duskull, Skorupi, and Darumaka. Three-star Raids will include Miltank, Octillery, Blaziken, Camerupt, and Absol and Five-star raids will comprise of Latios and Latias.

There will also be a shakeup in Mega Raids. For the first time ever, players will have the opportunity to battle and earn Mega Gyarados candy.

These Pokemon will be in raids until February 20, at 9 am local time.
