How To Get Evolution Items
The only thanks to getting evolution items are by spinning PokeStops. Like with the new berries, though, they do not drop as often as balls and razz berries. After quite fifty spins at various stops, I only got one sunstone. Many others are reporting similar findings, with some reporting a drop rate of 1 percent or less. Your mileage may vary, but dont expect to gather them quickly.
If you play the sport a day, youll get a minimum of one evolution item per week, though. Once you get the seven-day streak bonus one evolution item is bound to drop. This only counts for the primary PokeStop of the Day streak, not the last Pokemon of the Day streak. The evolution item you get is entirely random, but its better than merely counting on PokeStop drops.

Where In The World
For the time being, each of the Pokémon world regions that have been released to Pokémon Go are also Search Terms. These include Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. However, two regions are currently being used as other Search Terms: Alola and Galar. Pokémon Go still hasn’t seen the Kalos Region with Generation VI, but due to the introduction of Regional Variants, these Search Terms can already be used. Either way, these Search Terms aren’t particularly useful on their own, given that smallest Generations still have over 70 Pokémon.
How To Get Special Items
Initially there were rumors indicating that Evolution Items were guaranteed rewards for 7-day Pokestop streaks, but that has been discredited. Evolution items are incredibly rare and have less than a 1% chance of being found at Pokestops.
However, as of an app update in late March 2017 you are now guaranteed an Evolution Item for a 7-day Pokestop streak.

How To Use The Kings Rock In Pokemon Go
Now heres where the choices come in. Kings Rock can be used in two different ways, which means you might already have the candies you need for at least one Pokemon evolution.
Kings Rock can not only evolve Poliwhirl into the froglike Politoed, it also turns Slowpoke into Slow King. As ever youre going to need serious candies for both Pokemon.
– Poliwhirl evolves into Politoed with Kings Rock and 100 Poliwag candy
– Slowpoke evolves into Slow King with Kings Rock and 50 Slowpoke candy
Pokemon Go Special Items
The evolution items added to Pokemon Go are the Metal Coat, Sun Stone, Dragon Scale, Up-Grade and Kings Rock. These items can all be found at PokeStops, along with the two new berries, Nanab and Pinap. The problem is that the evolution items are extremely rare. While some have been lucky enough to find an evolution item on their first spin at a PokeStop, others have visited as many as 50 or more PokeStops with no luck.

Who Can Evolve With The Up
In Pokemon GO, there is only one Pokemon that can use an Up-Grade to evolve: the Normal-type Pokemon Porygon. Porygon, famous for being the star of one of the Pokemon anime’s banned episodes, is somewhat difficult to find in Pokemon GO, so players will have to walk around until they happen upon one, or hatch one from an egg.
Catching Porygon is only half the battle. In the main series of Pokemon games, players have to obtain a Porygon, have it hold the Up-Grade item, and then trade it with another player to make it evolve into Porygon2. Evolving Porygon into Porygon2 is simpler in Pokemon GO, but it still requires players to do more than just collect the Up-Grade.
Besides getting the Up-Grade from a PokeStop, players also have to make sure they have 50 Porygon candies to evolve Porygon into Porygon2. Of course, since Porygon is a somewhat rare Pokemon as it is, collecting enough candy to evolve it is easier said than done.
One method of earning Porygon candy is by catching duplicate Porygon in the wild, and another is hatching more Porygon from eggs, which will give players the most candy. While players will get the most Porygon candy by hatching them from eggs, the only way to guarantee Porygon candy is by assigning Porygon to be a buddy Pokemon and walking around with it.

Also know, what Pokemon evolves lures?
These Lure Modules will also allow players to evolve their Pokémon into Glaceon, Leafeon, Probopass, and Magnezone. If a special Lure Module is placed, players will be able to evolve their Pokémon after spinning the stop.
Is it better to power up before or after evolving?
Because evolving a pokemon only changes the base stats not the level or ivs, it doesn’t matter if you power up a pokemon before evolving or after the cp it gets to won’t change. But if you care about PVP power up after so you don’t go over the cp for what league you what to get it to.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Vaporeon Jolteon And Flareon
First, you’ll need to obtain 25 Eevee Candies by catching Eevees and sending them to Professor Willow. Once you have them, using the 25 candies will turn your Eevee into one of the three original evolutions.
However, there is a trick that can guarantee which Eeveelution you’ll receive, though it only works once for each form. By changing Eevee’s name to a particular nickname, you can choose which Eeveelution you’ll receive. The names are as follows:
- Vaporeon – “Rainer”
- Flareon – “Pyro”
Pokmon Go: How To Get And Use Evolution Items And Other Special Case Evolutions
In Pokémon Go, you can catch a lot of great Pokémon in the wild or in Raids, but evolution is necessary to get many of the most powerful Pokémon in the game. For most Pokémon, evolution just requires Candy earned from catching, transfering, and walking with a Pokémon. However, a select few species need specific Evolution items or other special methods in addition to the usual set number of candies, and Niantic just added a few new ones. Fortunately, we’re here to walk you through how to obtain and use these unique items, and be sure to check out our best Pokémon Go accessories so you’re fully equiped on your Pokémon Journey!

Gen 4 Evolution Items
In Generation 4 the Pokemon company really ramped on Cross Generation Evolutions. Some of these will require evolution items like the Shiny Stone and Protector.

How To Evolve Eevee Into Leafeon And Glaceon
Leafeon and Glaceon are a little easier to plan for when trying to evolve an Eevee, as they require specific items and locations in order to get them.
First you’ll need a special type of Lure from the Shop–either a Mossy Lure or a Glacial Lure –which cost 200 Pokecoins each. Next, head to a nearby PokeStop and activate the lure corresponding to the Eeveelution you’re looking for, Mossy forLeafeon or Glacial for Glaceon. Finally, use 25 Eevee Candies to evolve the Eevee into the form of choice.
Once again there’s a nickname for each form that can bypass these requirements, but as before the nicknames only work one time. If you need a quick Leafeon or Glaceon and can’t get to a PokeStop, here’s the names to use:
- Leafeon – “Linnea”
- Glaceon – “Rea”

Lovely Weather We’re Having
Another useful Search Term when preparing for a Raid, searching for will only display Pokémon boosted by your current local weather conditions. This applies specifically to a Pokémon’s move types, not their base type, so if your Raichu happens to know the Fighting-type move Brick Break, it will come up during Cloudy weather, but your Raichu with Thunder Punch will only come up under Rainy weather.
Pokmon Go Evolution Items
Nowadays there are two ways in the game to obtain items: buying them at the store or getting them .
Buying Evolution Stones in the Store?
If the Evolution Stones become Store items, their value should be way higher than 200 PokéCoins, depending on the Pokemon you would like to evolve. For rarer Pokémon, the price should be higher for example Porygon is rarer to obtain than Slowpoke.
The other option is that they could be sold in bundles, in the same fashion as the Christmas package/bundle was sold, for example a number of PokéBalls + a evolution item.
Evolution Stones as Stop drops?
If Niantic decides to introduce Evolution items as PokéStop drops, the drop rate of the stones should not be nearly as frequent as a Pokéball or a Potion, however, introducing new drops will also change the drop rates of current PokéStop items. So, a possible solution to this problem is to enable collection of evolution items only on the seventh day the player opens a PokéStop!
But of course, that spin should guarantee an evolution item drop.
A third option?
The third option is to introduce a completely new way to obtain items in the game: missions! In this case, the possibilities are almost endless, as the feature can be implemented in different ways, for example:
- Capture a set amount of Pokemon of the same type
- Evolve a set amount of Pokemon of the same type
- Defeat a set amount of Pokemon in gyms
- Walk a set distance with a specific Pokemon as your buddy

How To Use The Metal Coat In Pokemon Go
The Metal Coat can be used on two different Pokemon too, and as you’d expect, they both turn into Steel types. If you evolve Scyther, you can obtain the snappy Scizor, while Onix the rock snake will turn into Steelix.
– Scyther evolves into Scizor with a Metal Coat and 50 Scyther candy
– Onix evolves into Steelix with a Metal Coat and 50 Onix candy
Dragon Scale Evolutions In Pokemon Go
This is another item that only has one evolution to be paired up with, so your choices are limited, but its worth it. Seadra evolves into Kingdra, which gives it a Dragon-type. Plus, Kingdra looks cool as hell.
- Seadra > Kingdra
Though it feels like they couldve found a better Pokemon to use a Dragon Scale, honestly.

Will There Be More In The Future
It’s very likely that there will be more of these items coming to Pokémon GO. There are many more Pokémon in later generations that evolve by using an item, whether it’s as a consumable or by holding something in particular and being traded. In fact, Gen 1 also had these, but it seems Niantic are reluctant to retroactively make it more difficult to acquire Pokémon like Vileplume, Victreebel, Poliwrath and Arcanine, all of which need items to evolve in the games.
Pokemon Go Unova Stones: How To Get One
0.153.0 :new evolution item “Unova Stone” pic.twitter.com/MBh4d6H37Y
Much like the Sinnoh Stone, you can get a Pokemon Go Unova Stone by completing seven days’ worth of field research. Those are the tasks you get from spinning Pokestops complete one each day until you’ve filled in all the stamps, then claim your reward and there’s a chance you might get an Unova Stone. Essentially, you need to cross your fingers and hope you’ve appeased the Pokemon Go RNGesus recently.
There’s a chance that you’ll be able to get Unova Stones from PvP battles later down the line but for now, that’s not possible.

Other Special Cases For Evolution In Pokmon Go
While most Pokémon evolve with Candy and a possible Evoluton Item, there are some other Pokémon who evolve a little differently.
Other methods for evolving Pokémon include:
Evolution methods for unreleased Pokémon, including Sylveon, Tyrunt, Amaura, and Inky, are based on datamining and subject to change.
Pokemon Go Kings Rock
Kings Rock is a stone that helps in evolving certain Pokemon in the game. This stone acts just like the Sinnoh stone, Dragon Scale or Sun Stone and helps in evolving certain Pokemon. The players can use the Kings Rock to evolve two Pokemon in Pokemon Go, Poliwhirl to Politoed, and Slowpoke to Slowking. The players just need to give these Pokemon the King Rock and some candy and the Pokemon will evolve into their Royal forms. Which Pokmon Evolve Using Sinnoh Stones
There are many Pokémon from the Kanto, Johto and Hoenn region that have Sinnoh evolutions from Sinnoh Stones. Heres the current list:
- Budew Roselia Roserade
- Ralts Kirlia Gallade
- Snorunt Froslass
Each new Sinnoh evolution also costs 100 candy, but if youre still catching up on earlier evolutions, the good news is that some basic evolutions now require less candy .
How To Evolve Pokemon In Pokemon Go:
Most Pokemon evolve when they reach a certain level, however, some Pokemon have certain conditions that have to be met, in order for them to evolve. Some Pokemon require items to evolve, and these items are known as Evolution Items.
Here is a list of all the Evolution Items and which Pokemon they effect in Pokemon GO:
- Sun Stone Evolves Sunkern Into Sunflora
- Sun Stone Evolves Gloom Into Bellossom
- Kings Rock Evolves Slowbro Into Slowking
- Kings Rock Evolves Poliwhirl Into Politoed
- Metal Coat Evolves Scyther Into Scizor
- Up-Grade Evolve Porygon Into Porygon 2
- Dragon Scale Evolves Seadra Into Kingdra
Evolution Items are not easy to come by, as Niantic Labs have set the drop rate of these items to be very rare. All of the evolutions listed above can only be obtained by using items so its not surprising to see how rare the items are.

What Pokmon Should I Evolve
If youre prioritizing attackers for raids, Mamoswine is one of the best. It has a mix of extremely high CP, with strong ground and ice-type moves, making it a solid pick for most Legendary raids. Roserade is also one of thebest grass-types, and Electivire is one of the best electric-types
However, if you want to evolve a Lickilicky just to have a cute, round friend, thats a pretty good option, too.
What Are The Pokemon Go Evolution Items
Suppose youve spun a Pokestop for the seventh day during a row or finished your weekly research breakthrough task and located a new shiny thing youve never seen before. In that case, youll say hello to your first Pokemon Go evolution item. You would possibly even have a couple of you do not know youve got, so pop into your items list and have a fast scroll.
Evolution items were introduced with the Gen 2 update back in 2017 and mean an entire stack of latest mon via evolution if you hoard your candy good. So far, weve only got one fourth-generation item, the Sinnoh Stone, but you are going to wish it for a stack of 4th generation Pokemon evolutions.
Before Gen 2 was released, all you required to evolve a pocket monster was collect enough candies. Now, for a few special Pokemon, you would like to gather the candies and an evolution item.
Here are the evolution items and the way to spot them:
- Sunstone may be a red-and-orange rock with points protruding of the edges.
- Kings stone seems like a yellow castle with broken walls.
- The metal coat seems like two silver, round batteries stacked on top of every other.
- Dragon scale is an oval with blue and yellow indicating.
- Upgrade item looks quite a sort of a long, yellow taser.
