Youll also want to be selling items at the Kecleon shop. One of the first issues youll come across in the game is the low amount of space you have for items. Kill;two birds with one stone here and sell off the stuff you dont need. Gold ribbons dont have a use besides being sold, so theyre a good thing to look out for.;

Once again, Rare Qualities come to the rescue! The one to look out for here is Sales Pitch, which will let you sell items to shops at a much higher price.

What Are Mystery Houses

Mystery Houses are randomly-occurring buildings that occur in Dungeons after completion of the main campaign. They’re immediately identifiable as they don’t seem to fit in anywhere: huge, pink buildings with yellow and green highlights and a gold front door. They’re not exactly subtle. Approach the front door itself and you’ll get a little message asking you to insert your invitation.

Bring The Heavy Hitters

The last group of fighters players want on their team are the heavy hitters. While the tanks prevent ranged attacks and the subduers keep Rayquaza locked down the rest should be doing as much damage ass possible.

This team should be full of Ice-based ranged attackers to avoid taking damage and punishing Rayquaza as much as possible. Anything that can hit hard or chain attacks from a distance is key. Absol is a beast for this and Cloyster with Ice attacks is another solid choice.

For legendaries after this point , you need to defeat them once, then you can return to take them down again to recruit them. Every second fight against a legendary guarantees they will join your team, so you don’t have to hope for the random element like with standard wild Pokemon.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a Nintendo Switch title that is a part of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. It is the first remake in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, being a remake of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. Like the other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, it is an adaptation of the Mystery Dungeon games with Pokémon characters. It was released in Japan, North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand on March 6, 2020.

The game was announced on January 9, 2020 during a Pokémon Direct. A demo was released on January 9, 2020 for free on the Nintendo eShop. Progress in the demo can be transferred to the final game.

Weather doesn’tprevent your rescue team from moving, but it can hinder certain attacks andoccasionally do damage to you, your teammates, and even enemy Pokémon. Usually,dungeons will have clear weather, which has no effects, positive or negative.But you will sometimes enter a dungeon floor that has one of the followingweather conditions, which should look somewhat familiar if you’ve played the mainseries of Pokémon RPGs.

• Sunny: Increases damage from Fire-type attacking moves but decreases damage from Water-type attacking moves. Pokémon won’t get Frozen.

• Extremely Harsh Sunlight: Increases damage from Fire-type attacking moves but nullifies effects from Water-type attacking moves. Pokémon won’t get Frozen.

• Hail: Unless you are Ice type, you cannot restore your HP naturally and will keep taking damage.

• Sandstorm: Unless you are Rock, Ground, or Steel type, you cannot restore your HP naturally and will keep taking damage. Boosts the Sp. Def of Rock-type Pokémon.

• Rain: Increases damage from Water-type attacking moves but decreases damage from Fire-type attacking moves. Prevents explosions from traps and moves like Explosion.

• Heavy Rain: Boosts Water-type attacking moves and nullifies the effects of Fire-type attacking moves. Prevents explosions from traps and moves like Explosion.

• Strong Winds: Eliminates all the Flying type’s weaknesses.

Efficient Experience Grinding In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Dx

First up lets take a look at experience points. Levelling up can be a fairly slow process in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and for most Pokemon its necessary for evolution, so youre going to want to know how to earn points as fast as possible.;

The absolute best way of earning experience points is by using the Makuhita Dojo. Youll find tickets for the Dojo throughout Dungeons and as rewards for completing rescues. Occasionally youll even get them in the post! Depending on which ticket you use, youll get more time and bonus experience points in the Dojo.;

Using the Dojo sends whichever Pokemon you choose into a type-fitting maze. Youll have to defeat as many Pokemon as possible in the time limit, but you dont have to worry about dying as youll be resurrected each time. Enemies will almost always go down in one attack, and you get so much more experience than you usually would in the Dungeons.;

Depending on what level you are when you use the Dojo, youll level up by a few levels each time. Doing it later in the game will give you at least one level, which is still great. Mystery Dungeon will literally recommend this method to you when you start the game, and its absolutely the best way.;

Its not the only way though. Post-game Dungeons will give you a fair amount of experience for completing. Massive ones like Joyous Towers will inevitably give you a few levels through adventuring through them, and this will also be a good way of getting more Dojo tickets.;

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Dx Friend Bow

There is one caveat regarding recruiting Pokemon, however: recruiting shiny Pokemon. You cant just see a shiny Pokemon and hope that itll join you when you beat it, unfortunately. You also need the Friend Bow, an item you equip to your team leader. Shiny Pokemon are not recruitable unless you have that equipped! Also make sure that the Pokemon youre leading actually has the Friend Bow equipped, since you can change the leader Pokemon while in dungeons.

But even if youre not Shiny collecting, having the Friend Bow equipped is a great idea. The bow offers a 10% increased chance of recruiting all Pokemon, so when you find it make sure to give it to a Pokemon you use a lot!

When Should You Mega Evolve

Its probably better to save your Empowerment Seeds for Pokémon that can Mega Evolve rather than using them on those that cant, as theyll receive a greater bonus from the Awakening condition. As Awakening can wear off between floors, its also wise to use these items on floors containing a particularly tough challenge, like a Monster House or a boss. If you want to end the Awakening condition at any time, you can use a Reset Orb to change your Pokémon back to normal. This can be useful if the ability or type combination of the Mega Evolution is only helpful under certain circumstances. Its also possible to Mega Evolve multiple Pokémon in the same party at once, which can be useful for particularly difficult boss fights such as Legendary Pokémon.

Familiar Combat But Different

The entire game is all about tactically positioning your Pokemon, switching between your team leaders, and understanding type advantages. If you’re venturing inside Magma Cavern with Grass Types like Chikorita, Weedle, and Cacnea, chances are you’ll get stomped. Almost every dungeon has a theme which means you’ll only run into Pokemon of one or two types, so you can appropriately prepare your rescue squad for that specific mission.

Some aspects from the base games are found here to retain some familiarity. Each Pokemon can learn four different attacks, they level up as you’d expect, and you can buy items to help you on your escapades from a store before each adventure. But, this truly is where the similarities end though. Recruiting more Pokemon to your team doesn’t happen by catching them with Poke Balls; instead, there’s a chance they will ask to join your party when you defeat them in battle. If you have a Pokemon on the current journey with the Squad Up ability, the chance of this happening is increased, meaning you can dive into dungeons with the sole purpose of recruiting more Pokemon.
