Como O Pixel Art Surgiu

O conceito de Pixel Art foi citado pela primeira vez em 1972, quando Richard Shoup criou o software SuperPaint para sistemas Mac da Apple. Mas o primeiro registro desse termo foi feito em 1982, quando Adele Goldberg e Robert Flegal o citaram em uma série de artigos enquanto trabalhavam para o Centro de Pesquisas da Xerox, em Palo Alto.

No mundo dos games, o pixel art foi a solução encontrada devido à limitação dos primeiros consoles que surgiam na época, os quais suportavam um número limitado de cores e animações.

No entanto, apesar de ter surgido de uma limitação tecnológica, o estilo agradou o público pelo mundo e mesmo com sua simplicidade estrutural foi possível criar clássicos incríveis que até hoje são relembrados entre os gamers, como Mario Bros, Space Invaders, entre outros.

The new starters certainly dont have any shortage of fans. While you may not all agree on which of the three is the best of the group, we can all say with certainty that this pixel art of the trio is amazing.

Though not as detailed as other pieces on this list, this work of pixel art is just too nice to look at. Theres a certain charm to it and the colors really manage to pop out with each one of them.

Love It But It Has Small Issues

Ok, so dont get me wrong, I absolutely love this app. It is a great way to pass time and calm stress. I have a few small complaints though. First of all, this thing drains my battery so fast that I cant feel comfortable using it unless I have a reliable power source. I use it for 20 minutes and I go from 98% to 70% on a good day. It also heats my phone up really easily which isnt that big of a deal but probably isnt ideal. My second complaint is the addition of pop up adds. I could tolerate the adds playing before and after puzzles, but was it really necessary to make them start popping up while Im coloring it? It just interrupts my experience and makes me want to play a different game. One thing I love is getting into a rhythm and being able to play automatically without much thought, and the pop up adds just ruin that because it forces me to break my concentration. As a final little criticism, the pixel count for the art made from personal pictures is terrible. They used to be pretty high and then they were changed to such a low pixel count that its not very useful anymore. In conclusion, the battery problem could use some improvement and the adds need to be kept out of the puzzles while users are coloring. I would recommend this app to anyone who needs stress relief and is willing sacrifice their battery charge.

Great Game But Has Issues

My biggest problem is the freezing. This game will completely freeze up, sometimes I cant even get back into the game if I restart it. I will have to power my phone all the way off sometimes. My second issue is the picture selection. I wish there was a way to filters by pixel count and also that there was a way to sort the pictures such as people, animals, flowers, etc. and then using the pixel filter you can find your perfect picture. I really like doing the high pixel count bird/animal ones, but I have to scroll for a really long time to find new ones. Maybe a way to go straight to the bottom? Third is the feature where I can see the pixels I did the wrong color. They sometimes make it very hard to find the square in looking for because they blend it. I think being able to remove them or at least lighten the opacity would be great. I also would like a way to remove the buttons at the top while coloring, because they get in the way and sometimes I accidentally click finish and have to watch two ads to get back into my picture. The new pop-up ads are also annoying, because they sometimes freeze my game too. This game has many upsides though. It has an amazing selection of pictures, is pretty easy to use and has lots of bonus pictures to get. I love collecting stuff so whenever I finish a book and get the high pixel count picture I am very pleased. If you fixed the issues I talked about this game would definitely be a five star for me!

The first is Pokémon Uranium, a fan game that was nine years in the making before it released in 2016. The game features over 200 newly designed Pokémon, an entirely new region called Tandor, and 8 badges and a championship to win. Isso significa que cada detalhe criado fará uma grande diferença na arte final.

Mas, como saber se um determinado estilo é realmente pixel art? Confira a seguir três características importantes:

Anti-aliasing: o principal objetivo no pixel art é que, claro, os pixels estejam visíveis para o jogador ou telespectador. Sendo assim, a ferramenta com o efeito de anti-aliasing , deve ser utilizada com cuidado para não prejudicar esse efeito característico do estilo. Alguns artistas costumam empregar esse efeito desenhando-o à mão.

Uso das cores: pode haver confusão entre o que é pixel art e o que é 8-bits. Na verdade, quando um jogo está em 8-bits isso não significa que ele tenha as imagens pixeladas, e sim que ele usa um padrão de cores suportado dentro dessa capacidade.

Nos primeiros modelos de videogame, por exemplo, apenas 256 cores diferentes podiam ser usadas nos jogos.

No Atari 2600, em que a capacidade era para 128 cores, alguns jogos não tinham as bordas desenhadas e, por isso, devia haver um contraste grande entre as figuras para não haver confusão. O Air-Sea Battle, criado para o console em 1977, é um belo exemplo disso:
