Pokemon Go Reveals First Community Day Pokemon Of 2021
Pokemon Go will turn the spotlight on Machop once again to kick off 2021. The popular mobile game announced that Machop will be the focus of the first Community Day of 2021, which will take place on January 16th from 11 AM to 5 PM local time. Like other Community Day events, the January 2021 Community Day will feature increased spawns for Machop, a better chance of finding a Shiny Machop, and several limited-time bonuses. Pokemon Go also announced that any Machamp evolved during Community Day will know the Dark-type move Paypack, which admittedly makes no wide impact on the Pokemon Go metagame.

Other Community Day Bonuses
On top of increased Machop spawns, a couple of in-game bonuses will be active throughout January’s Community Day. First, you’ll earn triple the normal amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon during the event. In addition, Incense that you use will remain active for three hours, and trading distance is temporarily being increased to 40 km, letting you trade Pokemon with other players from farther away than usual.
Finally, Niantic will be selling a special Community Day bundle in Pokemon Go’s in-game shop. The bundle will cost 1,280 PokeCoins and contains the following items:

Trainers, the Community Day events in Pokemon Go are happening once a month, featuring a specific Pokemon, its shiny forms, and great bonuses. The first Community Day event in Pokemon Go took place on January 20, 2018, featuring Pikachu, and was a great success.
Usually, this special Pokemon is accompanied by a bonus, either x2 Stardust, x2 Catch Candy, etc., and has an exclusive move. Also, the Community Day Pokemon shiny form is being released and the odds of getting a Shiny form during the Community Day event is increased 1 in 25. This means its a lot easier to get a Shiny Pokemon during the Community Day hours, instead of a normal day.

The official Pokémon GO blog has provided a date for the July 2021 Community Day. The featured Pokemon for the event is Tepig the fire Pokemon who will be appearing more frequently in the wild. You never know, you may even encounter a shiny one. Tepig can evolve into Pignite and if you manage to evolve Pignite then you can get an Emboar which knows the Charged Attack Blast Burn.

Pokemon Go Holiday Cup 2020
The Holiday Cup for this year starts on December 28 at 1:00 pm PST and will run through January 4 at 1:00 pm PST.
This is a special variant of the existing Great Cup that puts a CP limit of 1,500, but now with a limited pool of types of Pokémon that can be used.
Players may only use Normal, Grass, Electric, Ice, Flying, and Ghost types.

Featured Pokémon are typically among the more powerful, popular and rare in the game in a single Community Day hour, you can expect to see many months worth of spawns for the featured Pokémon. Stick around for all three hours and you should be able to fully evolve several of the Pokémon in question.

Trainers, as we look forward to the new year, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has revealed the pocket monster that will be featured in Januarys Pokemon Go Community Day: Machop!
On January 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Machop will appear more frequently than normal in the wild, and youll have the chance to encounter its rare Shiny form .
Machop has two evolutions. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Machop into Machoke using 25 Machop Candy, and then evolve Machoke into Machamp using 100 Machop Candy. Machoke can also be evolved without using any Pokemon Candy if it has previously been traded.
Each time you evolve Machoke into Machamp during this Community Day event , Machamp will learn the exclusive battle move Payback.
During Januarys Community Day event, youll earn three times the normal amount of Stardust when catching Pokemon, and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours, rather than one. Make sure to activate a Star Piece on your account during this Community Day to increase the Stardust you earn even more!
Finally, in a news post, Niantic encouraged players to take some Go Snapshots during this event for a surprise!
There will be two optional ways to spend real money during Januarys Pokemon Go Community Day event.

Niantic has announced the next Pokémon to be featured in Community Day. On Saturday, January 21, Trainers will be able to catch hundreds of Machop. Any Machoke evolved into Machamp during Community Day will learn the Dark type charged attack, Payback. Machoke is one of the select few Pokémon who can benefit from Trade Evolution, so be sure to coordinate with a friend or two on Community Day to save yourself the hundred Machop Candy each Machamp costs to evolve. As a Community Day: Play at Home edition, the event will likely be six hours instead of three. Incense will last for three hours and there will be a paid Special Research storyline, which is included with the purchase of a ticket for the Pokémon Go Tour: Kanto event. Players will also be able to enjoy triple Catch Stardust and boosted Machop Shiny rates.
Additionally, the previously announced Holiday Avatar Style items have now been added to the PokéShop. Players can now purchase Whimsicott ear muffs, a Greedent ugly Christmas sweater, a white winter sweater with a red and green striped scarf, and four different pairs of snow boots.

The Pokemon Go November 2021 Community Day has been revealed along with details on the Halloween Event Part 2, a new Nike collaboration, and a dash of history about Community Days in general.
The last few months have been a bit rough for Pokemon Go. The games community revolted against Niantics plan to revert gameplay changes made in light of COVID-19. When Is The Next Community Day In Pokemon Go
Niantic hasnt announced the date for the next Community Day yet, but based on previous events, wed expect it to happen around the middle of November. Our best guess right now is November 13, 2021.

The Pokemon: There have been a lot of Kanto Pokemon popping up for Community Day recently, but Im not complaining. Machop is a fun little fellow, getting much buffer as it evolves into Machoke and throwing a couple arms in for good measure once it becomes Machamp. And thats what youre looking for: a good Machamp is a solid, high DPS fighting-type attacker, and those have a good spot in any number of raid teams. Get yourself a full team of Champs and you can put the hurt on all sorts of legendaries, so Id recommend getting all the candy you can.

How To Prepare For Pokmon Go Community Day
First of all, the secret allure of Community Day is the introduction of a shiny version of the highlighted Pokémon, which will have a boosted rate during the event. That, combined with the increased spawns, makes it easy to get a a handful of shinies across the six hours.
Remember, unlike high IV Pokémon, shinies don’t appear in the same place for everyone like high-IV Pokémon – there’s a random chance of each one you encounter could be a shiny. If you’re struggling, try ‘shiny checking’, by tapping a Pokémon, then backing out without catching, then moving on to the next.
Second, there will be bonus Field Research. Community Days also have their own special Field Research tasks based on the specific Pokémon the day is highlighting. The rewards are usually just consumable items – Berries and the like – but it’s an additional thing to complete as you play.
Third, every Community Day offers 3-Hour Lures. This is the perfect day to catch as many Pokémon as physically possible, and with the increased spawn rate, increase your chances of finding a shiny.
The best way to take advantage of these bonuses is to find a set of PokéStops that are in quick walking distance or one another. You can then set up a Lure Module in one and then walk between the PokéStops taking advantage of the Lure and ensuring that you don’t run out of Poké Balls or Berries.
